March Rabbits Rollcall

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

No rabbits here, but I am. Another beautiful spring-like day here after an early morning rain. I spent most of it outside cleaning/weeding out one of the flower beds. Weeds had started growing like weeds after all the recent rain. I have to take several breaks when doing chores that require bending...my back starts hurting. So I’m done for today.

Today was Thistle’s grooming day. He’s pooped.

Monday is Hello Fresh meal delivery day. Doesn’t happen very often, but there was an error in today’s delivery. They are always quick to respond and generously credited me for the cost. I had ordered 4 meals this week. One was steak and they did not send the meal kit with the meat. Instead they sent two meal kits for one of the other meals...pork chops. I can improvise easily and still have all 4 meals, so that is why I say they are generous. I love the ease of cooking meals with no pre-planning other than choosing which meals I want, and no shopping.

That’s it from me. Hope everyone is having a productive day.

Irmi, the desert is cold in the morning. And windy often in the afternoons, especially in the spring. But those 50's and sunny late mornings (mid-60's this afternoon) are great desert walking temps. Within a couple minutes my sweatshirt was tied around my waist and we were out wandering for about an hour and a half. Maybe longer. The door to both the casita and rv are open. And we'll do another walk this afternoon not needing the sweatshirt even to start. It's often warmer around 11 or midnight when I take Ty out for his final pee than 8 am when he's kind enough to stay under the covers with me until it warms up.

I placed a small Walmart pickup order for tomorrow. I'm getting the necessary iron to shorten two curtains. I added in a few other necessities and some fresh fruits I'm low on and quickly made the minimum without buying anything unnecessary or sugary. I'm proud of me.

The sun came out. I went to Dollar General and bought 5 flower pots, I’m so excited. I have a huge Boston Fern that I will divide and share with family. Liz, I have a light weight shower seat that has adjustable legs that I used for gardening at the house. Could sit and pull weeds or dig. Judy, I think you have Rabbits covered. Lol. If you have acid reflux or sleep apnea it is helpful to elevate the head of your bed. My motherly hints for the day.

Good evening all.

It has been a gorgeous day here in AZ. Yesterday's winds are gone and lots of warm sunshine.
Glad to hear that all are well, especially Tina and her progress
Not much going on here, just gathering all my tax papers so I can send them electronically to my accountant next week.
March is quickly becoming filled with all that I must do before heading north.
Keep well and safe.

Seems every month I have to admit I forgot “rabbits” AGAIN! Oh well. Wishing everyone a safe/good month. Only thing going on here today has been working on taxes. At least I got out with the pups for a while on this beautiful day.

I remembered to say rabbits early this morning. Judy, I think you nailed the "rabbits" this morning!

Worked all day, 8 hours. Not busy but steady. The guy I work with who I got in that fight with awhile back, annoys me more and more. When he started last year, I thought he was very confident, but he is actually arrogant.

Tomorrow is golf and then get caught up on stuff around the house. I still need to figure out how to strip the peeling paint on the window trim so it can get repainted with the spray paint along with all the rest of the trim. I want to get Dave started on that project before it gets too hot out, which out here can begin in April. Will see if I can find a paint stripping product at Home Depot this week.

I haven't been able to get ahold of my golf cart repair guy. His phone number is no longer in service. I guess I need to find a new guy. I need my golf cart working again.

I found a gal on a FB gourd art page that was selling a bunch of back issues of the American Gourd Association's Gourd magazines from before I joined them last year. I bought all she had since they were so cheap. Got those today so will have those to read thru for quite awhile.

Got caught up with the previous week's classes for the Autobio class but now am behind with last weeks classes. Need to work on that in the next couple days. Also need to frost my hair this week. It gets flat, lifeless, and dirty so quickly, now that the frosting is all cut out now.

Storms expected this week along the coast but not here. We have had hardly any rain since last summer. So no wildflowers out here this spring. :(

Off to bed soon.

I notice several of you are gardening and thought I would mention a yoga position on how to protect your back anytime you bend over. Don't lock your knees and have your feet hip distance apart. Think about a how a cashew is shaped. Most people when they bend over just curve their back and end up in the 'cashew' position, This puts a strain on the lower back. Anytime you are going to bend over push your rear end out so you are swayback, then bend over. As you start to stand back up move your hips gradually back into normal standing as you come upright.Your back will thank you!
I still don't have my car back, apparently a part didn't arrive oh well hopefully today I don't really need it just wish it were here just in case I do.:) Irmi aounds as though you are going through a similar situation of waiting on workers for your casita.
Good luck on deciding on a vehicle. I have never understood the attraction of a jeep their reviews have never been very good plus they don't look comfortable. But then I get a lot of 'soccer mom' comments on driving a mini van!

Personally, I love Jeeps! I have had 3 Liberty's that were great. The only one that was awful was the Cherokee that I pulled the trailer with. The one I have now is super reliable, comfortable on trips, and easy to drive. I think the ones that are made for 4 wheeling are maybe not as comfortable for every day driving but I haven't ever driven one, so I might be wrong.
