Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Mornin'!

Check in day today. Hope everyone is well. Been up since about 3:30 when Punkin fell off the bed. Poor guy. Got himself stuck between the bed and a case of water. Couldn't get back to sleep after that. :(

Move day for me today but only a two hour drive to Port Lavaca.

That's my itty bitty news. Have a good month!

Morning Cheryl and all who follow. Aww, poor Punkin. Hope it didn’t scare him. I see a nap or an esrly to bed for you later today. Safe travels to Port Lavaca.

Having a bit of a cool down here today before temps go back to normal range. Little snow too. I don’t care as am staying in and working on camping scrapbook from last summers shortened camping season. And just made reservations to join my U.P. Friends at the end of August at our favorite campground.

Have a great day everyone :)

Good Morning,
I remembered to say Rabbits sometime during the night which is unusual for me.
Poor Punkin, that was a rude awakening! I didn't sleep well last night and the dogs were quiet. They grumble at me sometimes when I get up in the middle of the night and go sleep in the recliner in the living room. For some reason I tend to wake up around 4 and can't go back to sleep. If I move though I can sometimes sleep until six.
I read where some of you are doing your taxes online. I've thought about trying it but continue to take ours to the CPA.
My car has been in the shop since last Wednesday. Thankfully not as much wrong with mine as there was with DH's Subaru but she is so busy after the horrible snow and below temps we had for a week, it is taking longer. She did promise it would be ready today. Not that I have anywhere to go I want in here just in case.
I hope everyone has a good month whether you remembered to say Rabbits or not!

Good Morning to All - For once I remembered to say rabbits. Got up at 15 to five. But fell into bed last night a few minutes after nine.
we are home from Mexico - Good time there, Covid protocols were amazingly strong. We just wanted to get home glad we did come sooner than usual.
We came home to a MESS - a group - had to be more than one - desert rats had moved into our house over the winter. What a mess. Been vacuuming, scrubbing, sanitizing etc since Saturday afternoon. Every cupboard had to be cleaned and every thing in them washed. Also all bedding, pillows etc. Every time I think I'm done, I find another place they had been. Going to have my son send someone from his cleaning company to sanitize our floors and rugs and what ever else he can do. We still haven't got the RV unloaded - today will try to get that done. Tomorrow we get our 1st Covid vaccine and have the 2nd one scheduled too. Just happened to be at computer and thought why not check - wow appointment available at Walgreens so signed us both up. Also had a big grocery delivery yesterday morning at 8 a.m. so had that to put away after cupboards scrubbed.
It can only get better from here. House is cleaner then it has been thats for sure.
We are both stiff and somewhat worn out, but today not that much left to do I hope. But still glad to be home, Bill not so much he is freezing. Weather is supposed to warm up to high 60s low 70s rest of week.
So that is my story...

Good soggy morning, had enough rain. Did remember to say “Rabbits “. Thought since I had plans to look forward to I would feel pretty good. The continuous rain has put a damper on that. :) It will get better. Be safe

Good Morning, wow where the heck did February go??? I remembered to say "Rabbits" this morning, surprised myself. This week is going to be great spring weather. Up to 62 but next weekend the rain returns. I dont mind the rain when we get a couple of days of sun in between.

Took out a pork cube steak for dinner today. Have some cauliflower and salad to use up so that will be just dandy for a healthy dinner.
My arm is still a bit uncomfortable when I bump it or lie on it but is much improved. Hey if that is my only complaint then I consider that good.

Barbie, yes that is part of my lot and right now it has rocks there which is okay for now but I want to do some landscaping for sure. Also on the side of the house. Right now going to find someone to remove those stupid arborvitae and juniper bushes in my front yard. I hate both and they got to go. I have a small garden area that I am going to plant some tomatoes in but my neighbor says we have deer. Hmmmm not sure but will plant them anyway and see what happens.

Ann sure hope your battle with the desert rats is over soon. Glad Tina is on the mend and getting out and about a bit. Cheryl what a rude awakening for poor Punkin. Hope that doesn't happen again. Not sure what is on my agenda for today but after my second cup of coffee I shall decide.

The rain is supposed to be moving out but the temps are supposed to go down and the wind pick up. Already seeing the wind but maybe we’ll see a bit of sun today. They’re saying gusts up to 50 mph. Trade off I guess! I didn’t go anywhere this weekend so I really must get out today and do a couple of errands. Like drop off my tax papers! I’m such a slug sometimes! I remembered to say rabbits just after midnight since I was still up! Sure hope it works! Let’s see, where was I? A friend called so I’ve been talking to her for the last 40 minutes! We solved all the cares of the world in that time! So anyway, I’ll just cut this off and wish everyone a safe and healthy March! I need to get moving and get those errands taken care of!

I remembered for once to say rabbits right after midnight as I was going to sleep. Hope it helps since February didn't end so well. I will pick up phone here shortly and talk to my Dr office to start figuring out the BP thing. It's sunny and quiet put, though they say rain by end of week. I do hope we have a wet March!
That's about ot for this first of the month.
Have a good day.

I remembered "Rabbits" last night because Beth mentioned it. Some time after that one of the smoke alarms started chirping. Those things never start that during the day, it's always in the middle of the night. I have 3 that are close to each other at the end of the hall and it's hard to tell which one is chirping. I got a ladder and took the one in my office down. The battery was good but the date on the alarm is old. That wasn't the one. Took the one in the hall down and the battery is good but date is old. That was the one. I will probably go to town today and get a couple of new ones.

When Sugar came in from one of her trips out last night I could tell she had been up to something. Dogs are like little kids when they do something they know they shouldn't they act guilty. I got a flashlight and went out to see what I could find. Sure enough there was a dead bird under the porch. Thank goodness she didn't eat it but I think she was licking on it. I wish the cats wouldn't leave her treats like that. She doesn't want to eat her food but will eat a stinky dead bird.

I found a faucet that is leaking after the freeze. It only leaks when I turn it on so think I can pick up the piece to fix it. It seems like there was something else I wanted from Lowe's. Maybe I can remember what before I go.

Yes Cheryl, lucky you going to the beach.

My club meeting is tomorrow night. I printed the email and taped it to my desk but that's not always enough to remind me.

Every one is talking about doing their tax return. I need to get on that too. Mine is too complicated for me to do it. A return has to be done for the estate and then that is transferred to my return because my tax rate is better. Since that makes me owe taxes, I decided last year that the estate can pay the taxes.

I looked at the radar and there is a lot of rain North of here. I will have to hurry if I want to go to town before the rain.

Morning everyone. Yes, I was up at midnight and said rabbits then. I awoke early this morning and the temp was about 30, so I stayed under the covers and finally even fell back asleep. It's now 50 or so. Hopefully without the winds we've been having. Time for Ty and I to visit the desert.

Here's wishing everyone a good March.

Happy March!

Set the alarm so I'd remember Rabbits at midnight. :) 2nd morning without a sign of overnight snow and no rain for a bit. The Sling is coming out! First I have to wash off all the muddy cat prints. Cats can get under the cover and I believe one has been at this motel all winter.

In the past, I have had bouts with acid reflux. Find it usually happened when on a trip or tour where meals were eaten out and sometimes with wine. Scariest part was waking up gasping for air. Velda, hope they get your blood pressure under control. Catherine, what an experience for your daughter! Can't wait until you can go visit. Martha, I'm with you wanting someone to walk with. Hoping I can get myself to the fitness room when I get into the apartment.

My latest dilemma is deciding on a vehicle to buy. I have always thought it would be a Jeep of some sort, but reading reviews about loose steering is changing my mind. Want something easy, comfortable for my old age. I'd like a convertible, but not practical here.

Be well!

Happy March travel pals! I agree February passed in a blur! It’s looking very springy here in N CA foothills. Green grass; no wildflowers but many daffodils. Oh, and violets! They smell heavenly. My sister and I are peddling as fast as we can watching over the Elders so no travel plans. Best for a lovely spring!

Good afternoon everyone!

Cheryl, I hope Punkin is okay. So happy Tina is starting to heal and hope she gets good results from her tests today. Ann, sorry about the desert rats in the house and hope you & Bill can rest soon. Shirl, wish the rain would stop for you. Send it to Karen & Velda. Sue, Beth & Sharon, I hope you'll be having more spring like weather soon. Martha, get your errands taken care of before the rain starts there. BJ, I hope you're able to bring your car home today. Sheila, I hope you & the family get some kind of a schedule set up to help take care of & make sure your Mom has food readily handy to nibble on.

I was up until after midnight and said rabbits then and again as soon as I got up. Sure hope it helps. The guy that was supposed to come today to start putting down the floor tiles cancelled and will be here tomorrow. Someone else is coming tomorrow to install the granite counter top and sink in the kitchen area of the casita. I think the next person coming will install the floor trim. Then I think the furniture can be delivered. We had friends come today to spend the afternoon with us. They used to live 4-1/2 hours away bought another home and are able to cut 3 hours off the trip. We fed them a huge lunch of hamburgers cooked on the grill, coleslaw, mandarin orange salad, and all the fixin's to go with the burgers. We also had several appetizers and I made apple fritters for dessert. They love our community as much as we do. They are lots of fun to be with.

Happy March & stay safe.
