Monday, Monday

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Monday, Monday

Postby BarbaraRose » Mon Feb 08, 2021 12:54 pm

Good morning gals!

Got up fairly early this morning to get a start on my list of things to do, but I have a bad tummy ache again. I had some apple sauce and then took some Mylanta, but still feel lousy. Maybe I will try some toast. I need to get going here. Now I have the motivation but not the energy.

I have had some really odd dreams the past two nights about doing surgery on people. One was my dad and one was a friend. Just creepy!

Some young guy came into the park yesterday in the early afternoon and stole a bike in someone's yard while they were home! My bike is locked to my deck railing but someone suggested a bike alarm so I think will get one. I don't think anyone would get too far with my bike right now tho since the tires are both flat!

Another beautiful day here, sunny, slight breeze and mid 70's. This is why people love living out here. The winters are to die for!

Have a great day! :D

I made it home yesterday afternoon. I think our trip wore Sugar out. She got in her bed and didn't get up too many times. She is usually in and out a bunch of times at night because she likes the night life. I was tired too. I decided to go down to the interstate instead of taking the back roads. The interstate is hectic driving for me. The state park was very nice. I even had full hookups. I forgot that I can fish in Texas on a Louisiana license and didn't bring bait. It was a little cool to be fishing anyway. The weather was pretty nice but a little cool. I usually sleep good in the camper but one night I woke up at 3:00 and couldn't go back to sleep until about 6:00. The next night I couldn't go to sleep until after 2:00.

Annie is in my lap every time I sit down with her needle sharp claws. I need to clip the tips. She keeps hanging one in my arm and making me bleed.

I didn't watch the Super Bowl, not even the ads. Malcom Glazer, the owner of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers bought the company that owned the fish plant where I worked for eleven years. One year all the big wigs and boat captains got to go to one of their games. He pulled so much money out of the company and reorganized everything that it wasn't fun working there any more.

Velda, I find that the shots my cats get on their annual vet visit knock them out for about 24 hours.

Shirl, which site did you get your chicken wing recipe from? I had fixed them a few times and think I might still have some in the freezer.

I didn't put the camper up yet because I wanted to open the slide and vacuum the carpet in front of the sofa. I'll see if I can get that done today. I probably should go check the mail at the post office.

Tina, good to see your post.

Afternoon All, went to Dollar Tree this morning to buy valentines for great grands. Will mail them early because mail delivery is so erratic. I wish I could hire a 9 yr old to help me with posting information here. Took me 10 minutes of tapping, banging and cussing to post the . wings recipe. I just wanted to post the recipe not the whole article, oh well. Snow was gone yesterday afternoon but will be back Wednesday-Friday. Gulp! Not sure what that means. Was so excited about the wings yesterday that I forgot to bake the sourdough bread. Will do that today and have that with pasta salad. Doesn’t sound healthy but salad does have tuna, broccoli, carrots and peas. Lazy cooks take every opportunity to sneak in vegetables. Be safe

Good morning! Shirl I went to the site and copied the recipe and posted it below. I hate all the garbage as, etc. So I transfer the recipes like this to my Copy Me That app. I'll be using this one, thanks

Sunny and mid 70's here also. Sheets are washed and hanging on the line.

I finally tried some chicken noodle soup and that made me feel better. Then went to give Dave and Debbie haircuts and chatted with them for awhile. Dave is coming over tomorrow to put up the lattice on my deck for me.

I went to the bank to deposit my tip money and also my unemployment payment I just got today. They must not be adding the extra $300 per week to it anymore since it was short that much. Maybe that stopped at the end of the year. Will get two more weeks of payments from them. I think I am going to try to do my own taxes this year since they shouldn't be so complicated as years past. That will save me some money.

Then went to get my blood drawn for the hormones but found out I have to be there before 2pm to get that done and it was already 4pm so will have to go back tomorrow. I found a little store nearby there that sells kitchen gadgets. Lots of really fun stuff in there! I don't know why I love gadgets so much since I don't cook much. I came out of there with only one little item so that was good. Stopped at Hobby Lobby on the way home to pick up some faux flowers to replace the flowers that died on my deck. The only plant still alive is my hibiscus.

Didn't get much done on my list today. Hopefully, tomorrow I will feel better and get more done. Gotta get up early for golf in the morning.

Have a good night!

I actually accomplished something today  amazing... got the floor vacuumed the stand back where it goes... and dishes done... I also wiped down the counter under stuff... and got in a nap as well... so it was a good day
got all excited went around the front of the trailer and looked off and saw Kerry's (Alice's old trailer) I knew that Kerry's friend Jim had it so text Kerry by the time we finished texting back and forth they were gone... was hoping that they would stick around for a few...
planning on going to Vegas on Thurs unless as I told her things change on either of our ends... will be there about a week
you all make getting a air fryer tempting but would think being plugged in would be better... and not sure where I would put it anyway... but maybe something I can get and use it at dd's
getting cool enough almost that I need to turn on the buddy will let it drop another couple of degree's
you all take care

I beat you, Sheila! After losing things behind my screwed down couch and seeing nothing but dust there for over 8 years, I forced myself to get my vacuum out and first, I vacuumed my motorhome floor. Then I opened the jackknife sofa, which has only been used once, and laid down on my stomach on it. That was the only way I could reach back and down to vacuum. Found a ton of stuff back there and got the floor reasonably clean--will not call it dust-free, but at least it is better. And since the couch was opened up, I was able to get all the crumbs between the cushions.

Finally, I wiped the sofa down with soap on a wet rag. So, hopefully, that will last me until I either get a new couch or get rid of my motorhome some year in the future. I called Fleetwood, and have looked at several RV dealers, but the big problem is that this couch looks like it was specially built by flexsteel for this vehicle. It fits perfectly and has a furnace duct underneath it and running the entire length. At the far end, there is a hole where the heat duct comes out. SO, if I get another couch, it would have to have a hole cut in it and part of the back removed to allow the furnace ductwork to fit!! But the vinyl is crumbling and falling apart, so it really looks awful and I would like a new one. I am going to personally stop by a couple of RV furniture companies in Elkhart, IN, in June. I would like something with footrests, but if I am stuck with what I have, maybe i can get someone to reupholster it.

Whew! Quite a project!!

Well at least someone In the family had a spa day. Suzie got her bubble bath and blow dry and we picked her up around noon. She's all fluffy feathered now.
Not much els happenng except I gotta be up by 08 as tree service is coming to give estimate and will be here between 8 and 10. I hate early appointments but really want those trees done.
Fell asleep trying to watch tv after supper so finally gave it up and am in bed.
Have a good day all.
