My '60 something' friend, Jeannette, use to compete and then teach those dances. Also my BIL's girls , in Illinois, use to compete. I have never seen the dances in person, but they seem very technical. Thanks for sharing!

you must be very proud of her!!! It is so fun to see them do there thing....and it doesn't matter if they win or not just that they did it. Give her a pat on the back for us

How neat. It's amazing how much is out there that I know nothing about and didn't even know was out there. Thanks for sharing. She looks like she's having a great time, which in the end, is what counts. carold

Great shots of someone having a great time! I love Irish/Scottish dancing, and, in fact, I used to teach the Irish Jig when I was a student teacher way back when! The high school girls used to learn a long version in gym classes......great exercise, and fun while you're at it! Wish I could remember it enough to attempt it now!

Seems as if your family is having a good time this spring! Thanks for the pics!

I, too, am of Scot/Irish decent, so can appreciate the dance & the music....my foot is just a tapping with the music in my head.... ;) Great photos!!!! Thanks for sharing....
