Good morning everyone, and those who follow.
I hustled around last night and got all of my outside hose spigots covered against the predicted "hard freeze warning".
Some of the predictions said it might get down to 25 degrees or so (at 4:00 a.m. it was still 32 - yes, it was an "insomnia night"). I didn't have any of the foam pipe insulation, so just leaned up a couple of spare bags of steer manure against the side of the house where the hose spigots are, with a bag on top. Kind of a "steer manure fort" (I'm sure the neighbors will talk) to protect my water pipes - although it didn't get cold enough to damage the pipes anyway.
As for the Tuesday forecast of "rain - heavy at times". . . well, not so much.
It is bright and beautiful outside, with not a cloud in the sky, although it is a touch chilly at probably around 50 degrees or so. Probably will warm up into the mid-60's.
Maybe it will rain tonight. Or maybe not. We shall see.
