Well got my washer and dryer delivered. Of course not without a small issue. Well a big issue but I called my handyman neighbor he came right over. The hole for the vent was too small for the dryer hose. They had just stuffed and folded the old one in there. Of course the delivery fellows werent allowed to do anything which I understand. So Steve went home, got his saw and cut a bigger hole, and managed to get it in there securely. He is going to put a proper connection on it and also vent it to the outside instead of under the house. At a later date of course.

Barbie I remember when you got that golf cart. I was wondering why you would get another...ha ha

No sign of when we will be able to get the vaccine. Oregon is having issues with their rollout. Very unprepared by the sounds of it. Oh well I will just continue doing what I have been and when the time comes I will get my vaccine. But will still mask up and stay home as much as possible.

I thought I was going crazy looking for info on a new golf cart, Barbie. I'm glad I was right on that. So my news this morning was the hearing aids were going back. This afternoon, they are here to stay lol. Long story, but I love my audiologist and will hate if I ever need to change.

Ty and I met Brenda and her Joey at the dog park and it was good for all of us. I just returned a bit ago and there are a group of social distancing folks in the site across from me. Before I could get out of the car a woman was at the car door... Asking if I'm single. They are single rvers and I got invited to join them. I hadn't eaten all day, etc so begged off. It turns out they gtg twice a week. Next time is Saturday. Seeing as they were social distancing, etc, I'll look up the time and lot for Saturday and probably join. Sunday Ty and I will meet with Joey and Brenda at the dog park again. Ty is exhausted. Joey is half Ty's age and runs like a banshee.

Yay on the washer and dryer, Karen. I think venting to outside will be much better. You have such a good neighbor/handyman.

Anne, I hope they get their act together and you can get yours. I could be left out yet because the age criteria is 75, but they are looking at cases and dangers also. So my fingers are crossed I'll get it soon.

Nice day today, with temps almost 60, but gorgeous sunshine! Love Valley of fire, and probably will not be back here for a year or so, so need to take some photos of my site with a view.

Found this article this morning about more pharmacies offering COVID vaccines: https://www.nytimes.com/live/2021/01/06/world/covid-19-coronavirus It is NY Times, so pretty reliable. I am in second group of over 75s, so am hopeful I can get vaccine soon. Nevada has chosen to put my group in third tier, not second, so I am hopeful for Arizona in a week. My son and his wife are a teacher and principal, so they are essential workers, and I hope they get their vaccines very soon because they are constantly in contact with students and even parents. (School is half days, with an option for online, but teachers are full days. Half of students for a class come for half an hour in morning or half an hour in afternoon. Teachers teach them all, and also manage kids online through Zoom. Don't know how they do it. DIL is responsible for 800 middle school students, so sees a lot of them and parents. Scary.)

Lazy days because class just started and nothing to grade, but need to get ambitious on my other projects, like putting snaps on new privacy curtain for my front cab area. I got the material 6 months ago, and ironed the top with tape, but need to put snaps on. This one will be longer and wider so it can wrap all the way across the front and keep the cold air out better. Right now, the one i have is so skimpy I have to stick pillows on each side to hide the open areas--badly planned and made. Should have done it years ago. OK, need to get moving, right???? (I am very good at procrastination.)

Got up this morning and after looking for my "new" golf cart  , I got my papers together for the putting scores I have kept since we started this season. My co-leader, Carol, and I decided we needed to figure out what to do with the money we have been collecting ($8 each to join for the season, and $1.25 each week for those who play). We had a lot of money piling up! So had to figure out how much we got and how to dispurse it between the players for 1st place and second place each week. Plus how much we owed to the one lady who got a hole in one a couple weeks ago. I finally got it all figured out and then went over to Carol's house to go over it with her. We got each person's earned money in envelopes to hand out next week. The only thing we didn't figure out was what to do with the $8 membership fees. Usually that is used for prizes and luncheons, but not happening this year. Maybe we will just hang on to it and figure it out at the end of the season.

The little metal piece for the table I am putting together that didn't have threads in it, I decided not to try fixing it myself. So I brought it to Dave and let him do it. He had it done in 5 minutes and now the bolt fits nice and snug! Yay!
Now I can finish putting the table together. :D

Nothing to watch on TV tonight since every station is talking about the fiasco at the Capitol. Such a disgrace!

Found out that a guy who played golf with a large group last Saturday here, is now in the hospital with Covid. His wife has it too. So everyone who played that day is quarantining (I hope!! )

Just had dinner and I am still hungry! Will have to find something else to eat in awhile.

Let me know if I get a new house, just in case I miss it!

Barbie, I think your cart is very cute! I actually like it better than the other one.

Hope you have solved the battery charging issues!!

was reading along and thought new golf cart don't remember that no wonder I thought I smelled propane the tank just went out guess I ought to go out and change tanks.... :o this one lasted just over a week hooked it up on the 26 but it runs a lot late into the night some times even in the day time depending upon the temperature inside be right back...back and the temp only dropped 1 degree of course I really don't need it this warm am ok at 70 and right now it's 72  now my mom keeps the house down to where I freeze like 65 or lower... I sure hope that if she decides that she needs me to move in we can do some compromising on that issue... :?
the strangest thing happened last night .... I stay up way late so I can take Shadow out late so about 2;30 I went out and off in the far distance saw this bright lights... sorta like the brightness of ..... light bulbs can't come up with the name of them... anyway very bright not seen them in that area thought wow wonder what solar bank did that??? then the imagination rolls in ....   tonight don't see them... yet it's not 2:30 yet but sorta worrisome not seeing them I know that I saw them :o
so today didn't pan out like I plan it knew that when I laid in bed way to long but got some of what I wanted to do done... wanted to straighten up one of the cupboards make sure all had lids ect... I've had this tupperware steamer bowl (use it in the microwave with a bit of water in the base and veggies steam) loved it but micro doesn't work and for one person way too much so think I will leave it with my dd this summer... so put it into another cupboard if someone taller had been here it would have gone over the fridge was lazy and didn't want to drag chair over and put it there I think the next time my friends are out here will see if she will be so kind she is a bit taller than me... probably with the step stool she can reach... grocery's put away remind me I don't need any ramen noodle soup I have some in an area that I've not checked  was going to make BLT sandwich today but I decided I had some deli turkey to use up so turkey quesadilla wished it had been the BLT  watched this gal (Nataches Kitchen.com) her first name is so misspelled... make one looked so yummy she even puts avocado in it... anyway had all the ingredients so thought why not there is always tomorrow right?
you would think with more time at home I would get things done but doesn't seem to be working...
that is going to be so neat when finished Irmi
Tina so good to see you

That is me too! I should be getting a ton of stuff done with all this time at home, but not happening.

Several of you mentioned Spider Solitaire. I love playing solitaire but wondering what the difference is with the spider version?
