Happy New Year everyone. Remember RABBITS - I did manage too remember. Woke up from a nightmare about 4:30 so up early. Cold here in Mazatlan for a few days. Highs only in the high 60's. Town is full of tourists from the inland mountains where it is snowing like crazy. So guess they will enjoy the "warmer" weather. Lots and lots of fireworks last night at midnight.
We are doing fine, in fact today is our 56 anniversary. How did time go so quickly?
Covid cases here are less then 50 - but with all the tourists, Mexican, in town I'm sure they will go up in a week or so. We continue to be careful. Most of the people we saw out yesterday during a ride around town were wear masks properly. The Tourist Police {yes they really have tourist police"- are stopping people not wearing them.
Hopefully this year will be better and every one can soon get back to a half way normal life. I had to laugh last night I was going over our years expenses. For the months we were home in Vegas we usually spend $2000 on eating out. Last year the grand total was zero. But groceries were higher. Gasoline for the car, way down too.
We have some delicious Mexican coffee and pastries - help yourself.
take care.

Happy New Year. I heard boat horns at midnight, said rabbits and went to bed. Was surprised I didn’t hear any sounds from other tenants and no traffic on the road. Be safe

FINALLY 2020 is GONE. Sure hoping 2021 brings forward progress for everyone. It was a bit noisy here last night starting at about 8pm. My dog was not happy. She was still very nervous when we went to bed and was plastered right next to me all night. I dont think she slept too much, me....no problem. She is crapped out now so she is playing catch up. Heartguard day here.

Spent part of this morning updating my address with Medicare and my supplement. Geez Medicare was easy but my supplement wont let me update it online, I have to call them. Now I just have to remember to do that on Monday.

Supposedly my washer and dryer is coming on Wednesday......we shall see. Heard that story before. Mattresses on the 15th but again heard that tall tale.

Going to install my new towel racks today, didnt get the floor washed yesterday in the kitchen and dining area so that is a must. Then just a lazy puttering kind of day. Might have to go to the store and check out the deal on lamps but we will see as we are expecting big rain about noon so I might just flake out and stay home.

Hope everyone had a nice New Year celebration. I just continued my same-o same-o routine.

Happy New Year ladies~~~
Quiet here in Mountain Home, Texas. There was a hay ride at 8pm and the owner also did some fireworks, but I did not participate. I've been safe so far, so I didn't take a chance with people who don't believe in masks. Besides, it was cold and we got 3" of snow yesterday, so I stayed in where I was warm. I actuary remembered Rabbits! Around 2am when mother nature called.

Stay safe. Stay healthy. Get healthy Tina. And hopefully a better year is ahead.

Happy 2021! Happy anniversary Carol and Bill! I can't say it any better than those who preceded me here did.

Happy NewYear to everyone. Not unhappy to see 2020 gone and hope for 2021 to be a better year for all of us. Icy rain started a couple of hours ago so remains to be seen how it’ll affect our area. Congrats to Carol and Bill on their anniversary. Tina, so good to see your post. And love your attitude that we have more adventures in us. Karen, I shouldn’t have but I did giggle a bit when you mentioned when your bed would arrive! It will indeed be a red letter day when you finally have it! Hope those of you dealing with weather stay tucked in and warm and safe. That’s my itty-bitty news for today. Oh, but I did say rabbits at midnight! Sure hope it works!

Happy New Years ladies! I, too, hope this is a better year for all of us.

Tina, thanks for checking in and I hope you continue to improve. Happy anniversary Carol & Bill!

I made a brunch of French toast with French bread and both link and sausage patties with sliced watermelon & cantaloupe on the side. It was yummy but I need to get back on track with my high protein, low carb diet. I've been splurging way too much the past week.

I said, Happy New Year Rabbits at midnight! Hope it helps. We need a good start to 2021. I'm beginning my year with a walk on my treadmill. Happy Anniversary Carol and Bill! Karen, sure hope mattresses arrive as expected!
I will put our Christmas train and village away today and start on the tree. Like others, I need to tighten up the eating business. Not happy where my head has been these past few weeks. It's cool in 50's here with slight chance of rain. Heard from sister in law this morning in Wichita KS who looks out on a fresh and growing blanket of snow today. Have a good day everyone.

Just watched some TV last night. Anderson Cooper and Andy Cohen had a New Years Special on in NYC. They were drinking shots and were getting drunker and funnier as the night went on!! Also watched a show on the funny ways people survived 2020 thru the pandemic. Had a few good laughs! Had some hot cocoa and Baileys Apple Pie. Just saw the Baileys on sale half price at WM yesterday but this one will last me quite awhile.

I was tinkering around the house when I started hearing fireworks going off all around the neighborhood (outside of my park) so I looked at the clock and it was midnight, so I yelled "rabbits" twice just for good measure!

Just sitting around today so far, but want to take down my Christmas decorations. I found a bunch of spare keys so will go to the storage unit and see if any of them work on my lock. Not sure why the key isn't in my car where it usually is.

I need to get a humidifier for my bedroom but I think I might have one in my storage unit so hopefully I can get in there so I don't have to go buy a new one.

I talked to my friend Debbie the other day about being my new emergency contact. Candiss was mine before she moved but I need a new one here. She said they would be more than happy to be. I also told her that if something should happen to me, the only thing I care about is that my things for my daughter will be hung on to and eventually given to her when she wants it. She said they would do that for me too. I just need to get all of Naomi's stuff together in a couple of containers and start working on my autobiography again along with a photo album for her. I don't really care what happens to the rest of my stuff. My brothers can toss it all for all I care (and I am sure they will). I just want to have a safe place for Naomi's stuff, or that will get tossed out as well. Not sure what to do about my house tho. Don't know who I would will that to.

Have a good day and an even better new year! :D
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

Drove from Tehachapi to Lake Mead today. I woke up at 6:45 am. Usually go back to bed when I do that, but it was almost full daylight, and I figured that I should just get up and get on the road. I did say "Rabbits" which i nearly always forget to do, but this has got to be a luckier year for us all. It was 39 degrees, but I put on almost everything I own and unhooked electric and then drove to dump station. Got to be dedicated to dump tanks at 7:10 am!! Mostly, I wanted to get on the road so I would get here before dark because I STILL have not got my tail lights fixed!! :(

Saga of my foot--the nurse I talked to said to keep it moist with antibiotic ointment, but it really stings when it is wet, like in the shower, or right after I put ointment on it. So yesterday morning I did not even put a bandage on it because I knew I would not be going out all day. Well, it dried up and felt a LOT better all day. I did cover it last night and today, but that is because I had to wear shoes while driving. Anyway, it is definitely healing from the edges and feeling better. No infection, but the new skin on the edges is really tender. It is also getting smaller since it is healing. Foot is still swollen but much of that is due to knee still swollen and couple of bad bruises on that knee--at least I am pretty sure of that. So all the advice to get it dry out was better than what the RN on the phone suggested!
