Sun Dec 27

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Sun Dec 27

I think everyone is glad to be seeing 2020 nearing an end. Tina, I hope the end of this year leads you into feeling much better. And I hope all of us see relief as 2021 enters.

I'm going to go outside, dump and unhook water. It's not raining today but will be colder with higher chances of rain in the morning. I'll only have electric and putting the car in gear with battery off left. As long as the rain isn't hard I'll go ahead to my next stop. I don't mind driving in rain. Snow and particularly ice with the RV is another story.

The cold here is predicted to get worse. I'm glad I wimped out and elected electric. All goes well and I'll have an Italian beef sandwich for dinner tomorrow.

I had started to post for today, but you slipped in, Beth, so I deleted my post. It was not complete, anyway.

Doing some straightening up today, and will be going over to my son's house later to do some laundry. He's grocery shopping so is going to pick up some more bandages and some split peas if he can find them. I'll be headed out to Nevada on Tuesday morning, so trying to tie up loose ends. Napa EXPO RV Park has been pretty empty, but seeing a few people checking in today, but it seems most people cancelled their travels because of the California travel ban. Had some rain on Christmas, but nice and sunny now, even if cold.

Nice to hear from Tina, but it is not so nice that she is still not feeling well.

Hi Beth, Judy & all who show up!

Beth, I'm so glad you have electric, too. Your dinner sounds awesome!

Judy, our local Winn-Dixie in Webster FL hasn't had split peas for two weeks. So a few days ago, I stopped at the country store here in town and the owner is ordering me a bag, which should be in tomorrow. She said the entire company only had 11 bags in their inventory. So today on our way home from church, we bought a picnic ham and kielbasa and the meaty ham bone with the kielbasa and hopefully split peas, will make a nice pot of soup.

I'm not sure if I mentioned earlier that the materials for our pergola arrived late last week and the general contractor should be here tomorrow or Tuesday to start putting it together. It will go in back of our casita to be a covered back porch. It will have a paddle fan with light kit. The patio set we bought is already there. Hopefully, the inside will be insulated soon and sheet rock put up.

Was cloudy all day. Possible rain tonight and tomorrow. That would be nice and much needed! Gonna be getting some good snow on the local mountains! Highs here in the 60's and lows in the 40's. Not too bad, especially since Florida and nearby states are going into the deepfreeze! Don't want that stuff here!

I worked on my name plaque. I sprayed a clear sealer on it and when I went out to check on it later, a bug had gotten stuck to it. I tried to remove it but just smeared it. Will have to paint over it and seal it again. I also pulled a previous roommate boo-boo. I put it on a piece of cardboard on the patio to spray it. I sprayed the back of it in the teal paint before sealing it. Then I noticed that I oversprayed off the cardboard and now have paint on the patio (concrete). :o Am hoping I can get that off somehow. Any ideas?

Made a plan tonight on how I want to set up the porch once I get it cleaned up. One half will have my love seat and some chairs for hanging out with friends. The other half will be my gourd working area. I am going to get a long table to work at and put my bins and drawers of supplies. I need to put some insulation where the carport roof meets the walls to insulate the room better. I have a portable AC that I can use out there in the summer to work on gourd stuff. That is that plan anyways... Now I just need some motivation to impliment that plan!

I finally finished my spaghetti and pie. Am very happy about that. As good as it was, enough is enough!! :o Now I can make my chicken a la king. :D

I ordered a monocular for myself and should get that tomorrow. I never liked trying to look thru and focus binoculars so am hoping this works better for me. Will have to go out looking for things to look at from afar! I can also attach it to my phone to take pics with.

I think I will take down my Christmas decorations this week. Am ready to move on. :D Am so looking forward to a new year with a better outlook and possibilities! :D

it's amazing how dark this room gets after I turn off the tree even though the generator is still running I like to turn it off a bit a head of it so that the batteries are fully charged...
it was so nice to crawl into clean sheets felt so good... now to get new ones and a new mattress... speaking of mattresses I know that some of you have ordered new ones.... what where they? your rating on them? and how did you measure for them?
I contacted a company last summer in the reply they said to measure inside the box makes no sense to me... still haven't done it will have to see if I still have the email and look into it more...
it being Sunday you all know what I did  although friends came out and we finished up the apple crisp... I decided I was going to stick it into the oven see if the apples would cook a bit more.. awhile later thought I could smell propane went and looked in the oven it wasn't lite so tried it wouldn't so went to look at the tank and was in the red... If I'd know that yesterday would have taken that tank with me as well now I have to do a propane run again.. I hate having it set empty...
while I was napping or at least in the house that blankity blank plant eater got into the planters again... so took what was left and put them into the taller one and set that on top of the planter think I will dump the soil into the bag and flip it over hopefully it's full enough won't come looking for din din tonight so I can do that tomorrow...
starting on my last section of this afghan ... gets to this point and it's heavy and bulky and I'm pretty much done with it.. but only after tonight 25 more rows...
you all take care

I bought a propane sensor last year and forgot to get it out of the box and plugged in until just a few weeks ago when I came across it. A week later, I heard it go off beeping. I went to check (It is in the kitchen) and realized I had leaned against the stove earlier when using the microwave and managed to accidently turn one of the burner knobs on. So that was a good catch!! Good to know it works well and glad I finally got it plugged in!

Apple crisp sounds good! I need to make some!
