Martha, that is too funny about Rascal swinging from the curtains!!
They do know how to get your attention one way or another!! The part of the palm frond I used is what stays on the trunk after the leafy part of the fronds have been cut off. Eventually, the base part dries up and falls off from the wind. That is the part I used for the reindeer.
Shirl, I love that song and I have always loved John Anderson! I went to many of his concerts! "Swingin'" was his first big hit. And Dean Martin always sounds good!
I drove my golf cart around the park last night to look at the Christmas lights here. There are only about 40% of our residents here right now so it was kind of sparse but some were very pretty! They are doing the Christmas parade here again tonight so will go back out to watch that in awhile.
I went to pick up my spaghetti for tomorrow but decided to just dig in right away. It is SO good and for $13, there is enough for about 4 or more meals for me! My other neighbor gave me a small loaf of fresh banana nut bread. So something to snake on between spaghetti and pie!
There is a wildfire that broke out late last night in north county San Diego. It started inland and spread to Camp Pendleton this morning. High winds there made it spread quickly. It is currently over 3000 acres. 7000 people have been evacuated so far.
The fire is very close to the large gourd farm that I go to and order my supplies from. Hoping they are spared along with all the homes in that beautiful area.
It is still cloudy and gloomy here and a bit chilly (well low 60's
) by our standards.
Anita, I think it is gonna get colder all over the country the next few days. The upper midwest got hit with a blizzard. That is so sad about the horse
Have a nice cozy evening!
