Just got paid by unemployment already (discovered I missed a couple weeks from the last time I was furloughed so filled out the info for those weeks). So decided to order the new light for the deck (only $23). It should look a lot nicer out there! Will get my friend Dave to put it in for me.

old light fixture...

one of the things I got when my grandfather passed away was a stand supposedly he made it that I'm not sure of but it's mine and was theirs and I really like it usually holds books on one shelf on the surface it has some small things and one of my porcelain dolls... till Christmas then it gets moved so the tree can be where it is and I have to find a spot for the books as the stand gets used for decorations having a hard time figuring out where I typically stash the books for the Christmas season but perhaps it was back on the shelf perhaps I've eliminated something so that shelf wasn't being used... perhaps and perhaps that will be what is done this year!!! need to turn on heat rather chilly now... I found out though that it needs some repair work done on it guess it's being shaken about when traveling has done a issue on it.. not sure how to go about doing what needs to be done... would hate to lose it....
aside from creating a mess and playing games not much has been done although that plant eating creature struck while I was gone... found a couple of plants on ground some chewed a bit and they were on the stand one is fairly high.... so they are on the table tonight... a lot earlier than last night... hopefully I didn't buy plants to just give to the plant eating creature
I agree I will read comments on FB of what people will write and see numerous times the same question asked... don't people read before commenting?
saw some deer as I was coming home tonight not seen them out here on BLM land
your decorations look nice Barbie
heat is on might need to look and see where I tossed my jacket for a bit ...
you all have a good day
feel better Tina ((((hugs))))

Nice pics Karen and Barbie. I was able to log into programs I need on the computer today. Yay! Tomorrow I'll be clerking all day. We're on a bare minimum crew for the shut down. I'll actually have a cash drawer... Only two people had them under the previous manager. We all get them now. It was so hard telling people we could only take credit cards when they had purchased an hour before with cash. So that's fixed. I'll work by myself most of the shift tomorrow. Since it'll be my first night closing, two people have told me they'll be in to help if needed. Cool. I think one would be enough, but hey, they can both come.

Sharon, I'm glad you're making the cookies you like best first. Smart! Liz, thanks for keeping us updated. I saw Tina logged in earlier tonight, also. I'm glad she's up to reading even if not up to posting yet. I'm imagining the problem with the tube is probably not helping the healing, but hope we hear good news soon. Irmi I love hearing all the news on your casita, as I do your updates Karen. Anita, take note, we'll want updates on your new place when you get in it.

Sheila, you snuck in. And, yes, it's irritating when people don't read any other responses on FB. Our just make fun of someone for not knowing something.

I think one issue with Facebook, is, stuff sort of stays in que. I have written a answer, when no one else has posted that I can see, then when I ht send several pop in before mine. Looks like I didn't read, so sometimes I just delete mine if I see that. Sometimes it can't be helped. I think it's as much a Facebook issue, as it is of not reading.
Today my new Cpap arrived. My previous machine is 5 years old this week. Medicare replaces them every five years so mine is due. I'm anxious to see how my lungs do. 5 years ago I was having morning cough and tightness and new machine eliminated that. These past few weeks again I've had morning issues , so I suspect it is pump wearing out. Next few days will tell.
A young couple about a mile from me lost their home to fire last week. They just bought the place six months ago, they were on the opposite end of the house when a fire started in garage. Fortunately a neighbor saw and his wife called 911 while he ran and beat on their door and got them with their 2 children, one a newborn, out to safety. But they lost everything, including both cars. Via Nextdoor, their neighbor, about my age, is collecting gift cards and cash to tide them over until they get first insurance check. Saddest thing. Roof was damaged so firemen , after fire was out, helped them move valuables to less damaged end of house, which still has roof. The homeowner came over a few days later to meet contractor and they found the front door broken open and the house burglarized of all remainng valuables! While I was dropping off a contribution tonight, the contractor came by. We questioned his presence so he gave us his card and showed ID then put a notice on their door and locked it again. Then he came amd talked to 3 of us. He said on average most homes with fire damage are burglarized within 12-24 hours of firemen leaving. There are bad guys who monitor scanners and news for fires then sneak over looking like work crew and steal anything they can! They are almost never caught! Guess I'm going to invest in cameras and hope my neighbors do too. If neighbor had camera they might ID the bad guys, but no cameras.
I walked on treadmill today 15 min. Will do 20 tomorrow, I hope.
Hey Tina, we are praying for your recovery!

I saw an ad on FB about a company that will bury your ashes around a tree in a forested area that they own (they own several areas of forest land) and you get a memorial service and a small plaque next to your tree (that you pick out ahead of time). Sounds like a good thing for me! Otherwise my brothers will just dump my ashes in the trash somewhere. Need to look into that further. !

Barbie, just a suggestion: I read an article recently about people ordering things from Facebook that never arrived or turned out not to be as advertised if they arrived at all. The end of the article basically said not to order things advertised on FB. Please be careful.

Yep. I have had that happen before.

I checked out their website and they are a California company that has been in business for many years and are legit. Before I would dish out any money, I would set up a consultation with them. You can even go to one of their locations and pick out your tree. They are getting ready to open up an area near Ventura soon. They have several forest lands in northern CA now, one in Minnesota and one out east somewhere. It sounds like a great idea and I will do further research before I pay for anything.

Thanks for the advice tho. I know there are a lot of scam ads on FB.
