Monday

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Good morning!

Thoughts and well wishes for Tina!

When this virus started, I told myself I would not let it get me down. Let's just say I've had a few talks with myself since then! It does help that I have the apartment to look forward to. Since I'm somewhat homebound, I wish it would just snow - may feel differently in a few weeks! :D I have a nice view of mountains but they seem to be hidden by clouds a lot of the time.

My grocery order is ready and Alan will pick me up about 1:30 to get it. That should get me through several weeks.

Thus ends my itty bitty non-news. :)

Be safe!

Hi ladies!

As soon as I got up today, I told Steve that today was Tina's surgery day and pray for a good outcome.

beth, your boss is something else! Good grief.

Tomorrow, the couple that we traveled around the country with are coming to spend the afternoon with us. Unfortunately, our high is going to be 59 but the sun will be shining, but it will all work out. Steamed shrimp will be the appetizers with chicken Divan as the main course and banana rum cake for dessert. It'll be good to see them again.

I always enjoyed when our parents drove us around to look at Christmas lights, so we have our Christmas lights up as well.

Like all of you, I enjoy coming here. It's definitely part of my daily routine.

Got a call from Dennis. Will post a Tina update in the members only thread. The gall bladder is out and Tina is home. Not up to phone calls or texts yet.

Thanks Liz. I have no idea how to access the members only room.

Joey had his shots updated today. I got all the papers needed for him when I cross the border next time. Afterwards he had a great run at the dog park. We are home now, relaxing and enjoying the warm afternoon.

My Christmas decorations consist of a string of holiday lights surrounding the patio mat and a fiberoptic tree.

Prayers for Tina and a speedy recovery.

I dug out some decorations yesterday, and my son took me to Walmart for some RV toilet paper and batteries, so I picked up some more lights. I have a long string of fake greenery and some red berries on it that I had put on my dash in the past, so I just added some new lights. Also, have a pink and red wreath that is entirely plastic balls, but the old lights I had wrapped around it were corroded, so put new ones on today and tied it to my ladder.

I remember having a couple of bad days with my gall bladder surgery, about 25 years ago, but then things were better. Mostly, I remember the month before my surgery when i had to teach an 8-hour class, plus an hour for setup and take-down, in South Carolina. I had eaten a really fatty meal the night before and did not know I had gall bladder problems. Woke up at 5 am in horrible pain and started taking everything I could think of. Barely made it through the day, but of course then had to teach the next day, also, but at least pain had abated by then. Was VERY glad to get the surgery done.

Hopefully, Tina will feel well enough tomorrow to update us.

I don't know if I have become weaker over time or it's just some things .... my friends who parked their utility trailer in front of mine called and said that they would be out for it just leaving the park so I figured 15 giver or take so hurried and got dressed took Shadow out too late but what can I do only this time not on the pee pads... anyway while waiting for them decided to check batteries one I can't as the cable is stretched across it and too tight to lift the cover so my friends husband said he would do it didn't know he was going to do it today... then I went and decided to get the propane tank out so that I could take it and get it filled... couldn't move it at all.... tried several times... I think that when I filled it last he didn't know his own strength... :o fortunately had friends coming out so then I decided to get the table out and set it up so I can put the plants on it and couldn't get it opened  however it all gotten taken care of so glad that they came out... and they tried to get the base off the toothbrush and was unsuccessful so going to get a new one... did have an old one that am using but it really needs to be replaced again :?
came in and started put some stuff away or trying to figure out what to do with it when I remembered the date... when I signed up for medicare I didn't sign up for the drug part why??? i had no prescriptions I was taking (still don't) but I'd heard a few years ago that you are penalized for not signing up for it at the beginning so each year it's going to cost more... so called over 20 minute wait time it was a lot longer than that when I finally got off the phone with I hope an ok plan and being penalized to the tune of over 36 dollars a month forever... I think it is stupid frankly to penalize a person for something that they didn't need...  that call took over 2 and a half hours think the time spent talking was only 30 mins or so... but didn't dare move to far from the phone that was changing while on hold so didn't accomplish much of anything...
last year my 13 year old granddaughter was reading a book and she gave it to me this summer I started reading it today I may or may not finish reading it... it's about the holocaust book is called Night by Elli Wiesel a new translation of one he wrote a long time ago... just started the preface and so sad not sure I can do it... there was a book written by an author that most of you probably won't know but does a lot of fiction based on a lot of history... he came out with a book a few years ago that I wanted to read Pillar of Fire I think anyway it was the story of the pioneers that came via hand cart to Salt Lake City which was the one my ancestors came across on... I still haven't read it and I know that they made it but so many didn't one day I will find the book again and read it...
Hope this day went well Tina...

Got caught up (mostly) on yesterday's church service, altho I fell asleep just before the end of it  so will have to finish watching later.

Went to Hobby Lobby to look for tree ornaments. Nothing much left. I was gonna buy some bows but saw the checkout lines were halfway across the store, so put those back and left. Went to WM and they were really picked over too, but found a small white tabletop tree. Slim pickings on ornaments. Just found some tiny pink balls, some little blue and pink vintage camper ornaments, and a teal topper and a teal wash cloth to use as a skirt for it. The tree has white lights on it. I also got a small string of pink lights and white garland. Will decorate the front of the shed with all that tomorrow. Will also hang the Grinch wall plaques I bought awhile back, on my house.

I have been wanting to name my park model but couldn't come up with something that sounded good. But then tonight I saw an ad for a local shop with a really fun name so will make a plaque with that printed on it and hang it out front. Will reveal the name when I get it finished! :D

Stayed cloudy all day but no rain. I noticed quite a few restaurants were still open for outdoor dining. Many of them say they just can't afford to shut down again. This time would break them for good. I can understand that. I can also understand that the hospitals are almost totally maxed out with beds and staff. Tough times and decisions for everyone! It will all get worse before it gets better.

Tomorrow is putters golf in the morning and then my appointment at noon with the hormone specialist.

Glad to hear Tina is home now. Hoping she will have a comfortable and quick recovery!
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)
