Let's start our day with a good morning here.

When I got home from work I wrote a long message, not finished, and set my phone down and somehow knocked the back button. Poof lol

Tina I'm so glad your surgery is scheduled and soon. Sheila, I was off work 6 plus weeks after my old fashioned gall bladder surgery. But I remember, surgery pain and all, the morning after the surgery I felt so much better.

I need to sit back and see how things go the next little bit before making any hasty decisions. The GM here and the GM from another of their locations both asked me to be patient. The one from another location is here mainly helping with the store. He's been rubbing my manager the wrong way, but she doesn't let him know it lol. He knows it but keeps on. He knows what he's doing and we've talked and he explained some things to me that make me think I'll give it some more time. I like the store. I like working in it. I have tomorrow off and I intend to be a bum... Maybe take Ty and do some sight seeing.

Last night when I picked up my dinner there were containers of chocolate cake in the fridge and I grabbed two. I ate one last night, 1/2 of the other was my breakfast and the other 1/2 my dessert tonight. Tonight they still had a few in the fridge and containers of pumpkin pie, too. I'm not a pumpkin pie fan, so I grabbed 2 more cakes. Bad, bad me lol. Yes, it's good cake.

My schedule changed today. The rest of this week on my work days I'll be working 1 - 9 pm. I actually like that better, but Ty will be confused lol He'll get used to it.

I'm rambling. So I'll go. Night all.

Thank you Karen. We’ll just have to see how it goes. I’m quite worried they will grant him parole just to get another prisoner out to reduce the prison population regardless of the crime(s) he committed. I don’t remember if I ever mentioned the details. My son was attending UC Berkeley (having only 4 1/2 months to graduate) and went to visit his good friend at San Jose State Univ. As they were walking back to his friend’s apartment in the late evening, they were held up by 2 of 3 gang members. These people had decided they needed money to attend the local county fair and drove to the campus to seek their victim(s). The leader stayed in their truck. The other two demanded money and my son, Joshua, gave them all of the $17 he had in his pocket. Joshua and his friend made no moves yet those murderers shot, hitting Joshua in the head and injuring his friend. $17 for the life of my beautiful son! They were captured two months later after bragging about the murder at a party. Someone in attendance reported it to the police and claimed the sizable reward we had offered. The reward was not paid until three years later once the three had been convicted. Yes, it took that long to convict them, going to court at least once a month for three years and a 7-week trial. What is also so mind-blowing is the person who claimed the reward was himself in prison by that time having been convicted of participating in a drive-by shooting. These people never learn. We ended up paying the reward to his family since he could not receive it in prison.

Sheila. You asked about CBD for Shadow. It works very well for Toby my Miniature Poodle and for my DH :). You do need to know if it is a reliable company as there are many bad products on the market. Some CBD is ok for dogs and people but not all so you need to either buy one specifically for dogs or ask the company. My DH takes NuLeaf Naturals for knee and back pain and it works amazingly well. Toby had surgery on his knee and frequently has pain and limps. NuLeaf has a product especially for dogs but I called and they said you can give either and told me the amount to give. Dogs must process it differently, Toby weighs 30 pounds and they said start with 1 drop morning and evening. After a few days if no improvement go to two drops twice a day. Dosage is the same for my DH although he can go up in drops if needed. So far he does 3 drops AM and PM. But always start at the low amount. You can order on line, most companies have discount codes, NuLeaf had 35% off over the weekend not sure if still on but I always find coupons. You can Google various companies to get reviews. A couple of vet schools are doing a lot of research on CBD and some vets are recommending it.
One note, if you decide to also take it you do need to space it 4 1/2 hours from any prescription drugs that have a grapefruit warning or if you take blood pressure medication.

Oh Sandi how tragic that loss of life was. So unnecessary. Those people just did it for no reason since your son was being so compliant. I dont have much use for our justice system. I totally respect the police but the judges are not on my list of people doing a good job. I know our prisons are overcrowded and I dont have a solution but here in Oregon it is just a friggin' revolving door. Sometimes day after day same people get arrested and released. They dont show up for court so they get issued a warrant.........ummmm yeah, and a new one each time. They urge people to get security cameras, alarm systems, etc. Big deal they identify, arrest and bam back out. I do not think most murderers should ever get released. I sure hope you have some impact on the court I will be hopeful that parole is denied. Hugs to you my friend.
