Happy December!

Tina, hope you can have the surgery soon. Been there but not with as much pain as you have.
Irmi, so sorry for another loss in your family.
Sandi, my heart aches for you every time you have to go through this ordeal.
Shirl, I think most of us are probably on the 'edge' at times these days. I find myself saying bad words to villains on the TV.
Sue and Karen, busy busy.
Beth and Barbie, glad I no longer have to put up with work issues. Hang in there!
Good to read everyone's news!

I now set my alarm for midnight so I remember rabbits! We are now down in the 20s at night and 30s during the day. Had a beautiful snowfall yesterday morning and then rain.

Walked the hilly park road Sunday to pay rent. Waited while a very slow check in was done. Then found out the worker couldn't do my payment! Found a shorter route with less hills so will try again this afternoon. Not sure why they won't let me pay over the phone. They did pick up a propane tank, filled it and returned it. They billed that to my credit card no problem.

Hope you all find a way to enjoy the Christmas season. I've earmarked a couple of music events to stream.
Be safe!

I didn't remember rabbits but was awake off an on all night. I/m blaming it on the phase of the moon. It is cold here, 26 when I got up but in the 40's with sun now. It is the cold cloudy days that get on my last nerve. Shirl what a nice gesture from the young man. Sometimes all we need is just a gentle there, there everything will be alright. I think we are all pretty much on our last nerve. So a big hugs to all and lots of good energy especially to Tina for relief and healing.
I have been sipping on a little drink I concocted from eggnog, a bit of vanilla, a sprinkle of nutmeg and a bit of Orphan Girls Bourbon Cream Liquor! It is hard to find but I had a friend bring me back some from the place where they make it in Butte, Montnna. Shirl are you the one who said they freeze eggnog? I'm going to try it. Good to hear from so many today.

I forgot Rabbits again. It didn't freeze here like predicted. It only got down to 35. I'm glad because I hadn't put my Ficus tree in the old house. I bought a furniture dolly when I went to Walmart today to move it.

I had the same thoughts as Liz, Beth might end up manager. lol They better hope the manager is doing the scheduling right. If they get reported to the wage and hour people they could owe back wages. My last job I didn't want to be in charge of anything and would do any stupid thing they wanted. If they wanted to pay me to make copies and waste paper all day I would do it. The company had been bought out and I knew it was a mater of time and they were going to close the local office. I could have moved to Houston but not on you life. I had people trying to find me a job but I resisted. If we stayed to the end they would pay our cobra one month for every year we had worked. That got me to Social Security. I thought I would be able to travel more but then Harold started having health problems.

Irmi, sorry to hear you lost your sister. My sister is 7 years younger than I am but having all kinds of health problems. She has had both knees replaced and now I think she has broken something in one of the knees. It keeps popping out of place. I am worried about her being able to get in and out of the motorhome but she insisted she is coming to the campout. I worry every time we go far that she is going to have some kind of issue.

I just love the drug ads on TV. The medicine they are selling might be for one thing but there are 15 side affects, one of them, it could kill you. I have to be very sick before I will take anything except vitamins and aspirin.

I took Annie to the vet this morning to get a shot for her allergies before she chewed her tail off. It has been 3 months since her last episode.

Good news Tina.

BJ, I was probably the one taking about frozen eggnog. For our Christmas campout last year one lady brough 2 gallons and I brought one. I ended up with what was left and it was a lot. I put it in smaller containers and froze it. I have been using it all year as coffee creamer. The local Daiquiri places sell eggnog with Southern Comfort in it and it's like a slushy. I love it. I'm sure there aren't many calories in that. lol

I have a Cattlewomen meeting tonight. This will be the first one since about February. They are providing a meal so guess we don't have to wear a mask. I hope it's pizza. I haven't had pizza in a long time.

I remembered rabbits sometime during the night so hope I covered it! Probably said it a couple of times even! Tina, glad you have an answer and can move along to feeling better. Sandi, hate you have to go through these hearings all the time. But as it was said you are a strong lady. Will be thinking about you and sending good thoughts your way. Beth, it must be frustrating for you when you know how things should and could run under the right leadership. Hang in there, you’ll do the right thing for you. Irmi, sorry for your loss. Sue, wish I enjoyed the winter even a little bit as you do! Th cold and snow has made in known that winter is upon us. Kinda fitting for the first day of December! Mother Nature making it known she is in charge! After all day of the snow blowing around it just starting to lay on the ground so not sure what we’ll get here! Glad I pulled the snow shovels out yesterday an have them on the porch. I may need them in the morning once I get moving!
Shirl, adding my thanks for you jumping in and starting us off in the morning! Time to pull the piece of ham out of the over and put dinner on the table. I’ll have some for leftovers for a few days so won’t need to cook much! Have a good evening and stay safe!

Sorry, Irmi, I wasn't very clear. I am making reservations for Florida for Winter 2021-22. I will be spending a couple of weeks in early October, 2021, near northern Atlanta where my aunt is and then headed to Fort Clinch on Amelia Island for late October, 2021, and then the Panhandle of Florida for November, 2021. December, I will start working my way down to the rest of Florida and spend January - March, 2022 in the mid or southern parts of Florida. (This winter I will be in Arizona and New Mexico.)

It's a long time away, but if you want an ocean-front campground that does not cost a fortune, you need to make state park reservations as soon as they open. And since each day's sites open at 8:00 am EST, I need to be online at 5:00 am PST. I get up, make my reservation, and then go back to sleep. Where is mid-Florida do you live.

And, Velda, I have tried a couple of Ford dealers. Mostly, the doors to their garages are too low, too narrow, too whatever. Plus, they don't work on Motorhomes, at least ones as big as mine. They say it is illegal for them to work on my vehicle in the parking lot, etc. I am going to keep trying, however. Also, I had pancreatitis several years after they removed my gall bladder. It occurred the day after I had knee replacement surgery, although they did not figure out the cause of all my pain until three days later. (The orthopedic surgeon spent three days insisting I had pain from constipation! That almost killed me.) My pancreatitis was likely due to the propofol sedative they gave me for the knee surgery, so that is now listed as an allergy on my records, although technically it was a reaction but not a allergy. I spent four days in hospital from knee surgery, home less than 24 hours, then back to hospital for additional 12 days. No treatment, but lots of wonderful intravenous morphine.

Well, I stayed up and said "rabbits" last night. So far it hasn't worked very well today. Got up this morning to get ready for golf and was being a total klutz all morning. Choked on a pill, then poked myself in the eye with a kleenex. Then I was waiting until 8:45 to go play when I realized I am in charge of it now and needed to be there by 8:30! My golf cart didn't charge up the other day so had to throw everything into my Jeep and drive that over. The other gal I am working with on the league was in a panic when I didn't show up on time, but we got things taken care of. We only ended up with 5 players this time. That 98 year old lady can run circles around all of us!! She is amazing and has a wonderfully positive attitude and sense of humor!

I got home and layed down on the bed, thinking my Covid test was 12:30. Checked my text messages and one was from the county reminding me that my test was at 11:30! So I jumped up and drove over and wait in line, and waited, and waited... I was there for about 1 1/2 hours waiting to get tested. When I finally got to the front, the gal stuck the swab up my nose and kept jamming it in there. She said she couldn't get it back far enough and asked if I have a deviated septum. I said no so she did one more painful shove and got it. OUCH! My nasal area burned for about an hour after that. My eyes watered about that long too! Hopefully, will get a good result tho. I suspect my dry cough is from the spray sanitizer I have to use on my equipment at work after each customer. It is pretty nasty stuff so I try to spray it away from my station. I wish there was a natural alternative but it is special stuff that sanitizes our equipment in 5 minutes. My cough gets worse as the day goes on. Haven't coughed at home until just a couple days ago. Sounds like I might get a break from it all if we get shut down again next week.

Then I had some stuff to drop off at the thrift store. We have 3 of them in the same block. Went to one, carried in a big heavy box only to be told they were now taking donations in the back door. So took the box back to my car and drove around the block. There is no back door. Just saw a locked fence and gate. So I went to another thrift store across the street. The parking lot was full, so I went to the third one, and was finally able to drop off both boxes there.

From there, I went to the Dollar Store. Was in there picking up a few things I couldn't find at WM yesterday, when I got hit with cramps. I ran to the check out, paid for my stuff, ran to my car and made it home just in the nick of time! Whew! Not sure what brought that on! So now I am just laying on the couch waiting to see if I get hit with another episode. I felt a little crampy this morning and took a Pepto pill (which I choked on  ) but I guess it wasn't enough.

So I have a million and one things to do today and I sit here doing nothing right now. I don't feel crampy but very bloated. Well, there is always tomorrow. I am getting my teeth cleaned in the morning but will have the rest of the day to do stuff, hoping I feel better.

Tina, glad you are going to get that galbladder removed. You will feel so much better!

Sandi, (((hugs!)))

Irmi, (((hugs))) to you too!
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

Tina, glad they got you in early & will do surgery on Monday. Will keep you in my prayers.
Barbie, sounds like you had a rough day... hopefully tomorrow will be better.
Irmi, sorry about the loss of your sister.
Judy, you continue to amaze me with your ability to snap up good campsites in the wee hours of the morning. They sound lovely & worth your persistence.
Sandi, so sorry you have to keep going thru this over & over - what a crazy system.
Beth, I'm sure you'll make a wise decision when the time is right.
Karen, making headway - slowly but surely.
Lyn, always happy seeing a post from you. :)

Life is back to normal here. DD & SIL are back in San Diego & I've got the grands again. Today they slurried the driveway & parking lot of 1/2 of our complex. What a fiasco. Only a few small notices posted outside. Notifications were emailed to all owners but about half the units are rentals. So many folks didn't have any warning. Nine cars were towed & many others were caught off-guard when they arrived home tonight. I am no longer on the board but did mention my concern yesterday to a board member but he didn't do anything about it. They're doing the other half of the complex next week. I hope it goes smoother.

That's all I've got for now. Need to straighten things up & go to bed.
Take care,
Catherine

got back home before dark even with a stop at Walmart and for diesel ...I was hoping it was still 2.29 but had gone up to 2.35 much better than other stations I saw even one at 2.99 :o (no it wasn't in CA  ) even Parker was up to 2.50 Vegas even higher and Searchlight when I came down on the way to Q it was I think 2.79 or something of that nature... high enough it wasn't posted then or now...
glad to get home but somewhat concerned came inside and noticed that my thing that tells me how the batteries are charging not phrased right but was down really low like into the red and orange at that... don't know what caused them to be so depleted... checked to see if I had propane stove comes on and the indicator is green... so turned on the generator for an hour got it out of the red...
some of the stuff is put away clothes that is still have other things to take care of but think I will crochet and have some hot chocolate... brought back most of a apple pie but it's out in the truck still... I texted my nephew and asked if he was going to eat it if not I was taking it he said take it... he had eaten one piece... there is still most of a pumpkin pie...
had to laugh though know how I said that nephew said my deviled eggs weren't as good as his mom's? during the night he ate most of a tray of them 20 in it and 8 left not to mention the few on a plate... glad he didn't like them
Irmi so sorry about your sister... hugs
Beth I know you will do what you need to do for you but for me Q sounds good
Tina so glad you get to have the surgery soon!!!! I remember when I had mine out after I'd healed (and in those days it was a huge scar not like now ) thinking I must have really bad compared to how good I felt... so it will be better...
Sandi Hugs
Karen it will all come together remember patience is a virtue and I want it NOW!!!!
what a sweetheart that young man was and it will get better.... we just need to hold to that
I every once in awhile think I'm so tired of not being able to do this or that or go freely without worrying. if throwing a temper would help I'd do that
I did remember Rabbit's at about 12:08 AM yea me...
I'd like some thoughts from you all... my sister's handyman suggested that I give Shadow some CBD he had seen where it was really beneficial what do you think? he was actually going to bring me some but think he forgot... which is too bad as I have no idea as to what to get or how to give it...
wasn't going to bother with taking the metal flower out tonight but it's sorta in his way...
you all take care
sheila
probably need to take him out and turn off generator ... gotten really bad
