Friday after

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Friday after

Good morning Everybody
Shirl, where is the coffee this morning? I hope you’re sleeping in, and not having a back spasm....
My son didn’t feel so great yesterday and I can tell you that put a scare in my soul. He didn’t have a fever and his oxygen level was 95% and pulse rate normal which helped to reassure us. He took some aspirin and went back to bed and was feeling better towards evening. I think the stress is getting to people.
A long time friend who came for dinner yesterday brought me an amaryllis bulb incased in wax. No pot, no soil, no water needed! It has two flower stalks with huge flower buds. I have never seen waxed bulbs before. Have you? I don’t get out much any more. Enjoy today. Peggy

Waxed bulbs are a new one for me. Interesting! Today is my "hump day". If it's as busy as yesterday it'll be crazy. At least we'll have one more person. And my register yesterday kept slowing down. Not fun when you are alone on the register and have a line. Everyone was super and we got through it. It was actually a nice break to go outside and do crowd control for a short time later!

I hope everyone has full bellies. Stay safe!

Good morning, had another restless night and a blah morning. The clouds will disappear and the sun will shine and I will feel better. Had a delicious meal on wheels, cooked by #1 daughter and delivered by son. I baked an apple crisp so I won’t starve this week. Think a walk around the parking lot will help. Be safe

Son, Chris, and I had a really nice ham with fixings dinner and will enjoy leftovers for next few days. That Costco boneless ham really was good. Sun shining and no rain on calendar for next 10 days. Nothing special planned, but might spend time online looking at sales. Although I've never been much of a shopper, I do miss being able to go look. A very strange year indeed. Have a good day everyone.

Good afternoon! I’ve been scammed apparently! An order was supposed to be delivered Wednesday and was but not to me! Post Office gave me information and even street number of where it was delivered. I even drove by it and it was a newish house on a Lane with only 3 houses on it. I so wanted to go to their door to ask them if they actually got the item but decided that wouldn’t be smart! So I guess I still have a few brain cells working. So my lesson learned today is not to order anything off of a Facebook ad. So I spent time on the phone with a very patient and nice young (I assume) man at PayPal submitting a claim. Plus just to be safer and to make me feel better I’m having my credit card reissued with a completely different set of numbers. Maybe overkill but makes me feel better. So that’s my sad tale of woe for today! I can think of things I’d rather have done today but guess I feel better and between the two I should get my money back at some point! Friend of mine is actually a merchant and said she never sees who pays her. Payment is just dropped in her account so she has no idea how they pay. I’m feeling kinda stupid at this point. No more ordering from ads on Facebook! Hope you all have a good evening! I think I need a glass of wine and it is after 5:00! :D

Sharon, sorry you got scammed. I don't know how to use Pay Pal and I'm not going to learn how. I wish these people would get a real job and leave people alone. I sent a gift from Omaha Steaks last year and those firkin people called me 10 times yesterday. They must be taking today off. I have gotten a few messages on my cell phone with links to click on. I never do that so don't know what it's about. I don't know what information they could get off my phone.

No Black Friday shopping for me. I sure miss going to T J MAXX. I would just be buying things I don't need. I made a quick run to the bank and post office and came home. Tomorrow I'm going to the lake. I'm not sure if my sister is going to join me or not. We had a big line of rain come through. Hopefully it will be over by tomorrow.

Peggy, hope your son is feeling better. I have had two sick spells since all this mess started and it made me wonder if I have had the virus. The blood bank is testing for Covid antibodies and I was negative when I gave blood two weeks ago. Guess I'll have to take the shot.

we do have much to be grateful for even this year.. and I am very grateful for all of you....
oh one of the things I made was cranberry sauce... it was so good... how is that for being proud???? so easy told my sister it was almost easier to do than open up a can of cranberry sauce which to be frank I don't like it's not even one of those tolerate to be polite not happening...
