Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Friday

Afternoon All, sunny and chilly nice day. Martha, physical therapist is saving my life and sanity. Just deleted the long explanation of why and how. Thought it was more information the anyone would care to read. :D Fixed a healthy lunch, half rotisserie chicken sandwich, half an apple and two very large chocolate covered marshmallow cookies (because I deserve them) Be safe

Hi Shirl & everyone!

Shirl, I so glad you like your physical therapist. That alone will aid in your healing.

Today we had several appointments/meetings, and the last one was meeting with the general contractor who will be doing the inside work in our casita. In the near future, we will go to Lowe's to pick out cupboards for the kitchen area. So things are slowly starting to fall into place.

The weather here in central FL has been nice with cool mornings and afternoon temperatures in the mid to high 70's. I made a pot of pea soup yesterday with lots of ham on the ham bone and also added a link of cut up kielbasa. It'll hit the spot this evening for dinner.

enjoy the rest of today.

I just got back from mowing in Maurice and finally quit coughing. It was so dry and dusty. I washed my hair this morning but probably should have waited on that. I think I have dirt in my ears. The guy that bails hay there finally bailed the hay. I think this is the first time this year. I was afraid I was going to have to find someone to mow.

We have sure been having some nice weather. Not too cold at night and warm days. Today it's back up to 90.

This morning I put water in the golf cart batteries and put it on the charger. I was afraid it might leave me at the pond. It wasn't before it needed water. I used a whole gallon of distilled water.

Some of my camping group are camping in Natchitoches but I didn't feel like driving that far. If I wasn't so lazy I would go to the lake.

It's a beautiful fall day in northern California ! Currently 64 degrees at nearing 2 pm. Had a good visit with eye Dr. She tested both eyes. Left, now 7 weeks from surgery is 20/20 almost 20/15! Right eye cornea looked real good, healing well. Before contact out, tested 20/30. Expected to improve to 20/20 then maybe 20/15! Recheck in six weeks. I'm very happy. Driving was so easy with improved vision! And that's with right still healing! Looking like I won't require more surgery!
Irmi, that Casita is so nice looking. I hadn't realized it arrives incomplete. But that gives you opportunity yo do what you want in finishes. You have a nice setup.
Martha, you got a lot done! Yes perhaps hair after mowing, instead of before! :D
I'm going to have late lunch then get busy here. Sean, tne handyman has gate/fence almost done ! He should complete the latch and last board next to house this afternoon then start rescreenung a couple of window screens that a neighbor cat tore up.
Hoping rain returns soon.
Have a good rest of your day and weekend.

was up bright and early (cause I had to) and got the back braces up and slides in then my friends came emptied the water ... and hooked up the 5th wheel and off to town I went was there before them always a good feeling... took about an hour and half just guessing... new one works like it should... then back home it's tricky getting it where I wanted it to be... but he did it ... and it feels more solid this time perhaps we got the back braces down tighter... haven't done anything to un pack except take the metal flowers back outside... came home from games and took a nap...
so that was my day in a nutshell
Barbie I got the impression that he died of heart attach perhaps they really didn't say but didn't indicate that it was a homicide

Irmi, that looks so nice. I think you're going to love your decision... From moving there, to getting the casita. It all is just coming together beautifully. I'd love to make comments on all the posts, but I'm exhausted and it's not happening tonight. Long day. The one hour orientation went two hours. Then I only had 1/2 an hour to come home, let Ty out and get to work. So I feel like I worked 8:30 to 7 pm. I'm tired. I like the store, like most of the people (haha, no one I dislike really) but I think the manager and I might butt heads if she doesn't give up some control. She's working herself ragged and needs the help, so hopefully she'll come around.

Time for sleep.

Good evening. Was a busy day for me and I was pooped. Slept well but will sure be glad when my mattresses get here. This blow up bed is okay BUT I am ready for a real BED. Had my eye shot in the morning then headed up here to Roseburg. Was great to come "home". Neighbor came over with a package and told me they had 2 more. ha ha wasnt supposed to be delivered until yesterday.....oh well. So I was in cardboard and styrofoam hell. I finally got it all broken down and loaded in my car when the UPS guy drove up with 2 more packages. So broke those down, bagged up the styrofoam and took it over to the dumpster at my local furniture store. They told me I could dump it in there. Bought a couple of low end tables I will use in the bedrooms for now. It is coming together just slow with Covid slowing everything down.

Irmi love your Casita, cant wait until you get the inside all done. Velda your eyes are coming along great so happy for you. Beth hope your job is everything that you hope it will be. Sounds like a great gig, well except for summer. I couldn't do it LOL I am a wuss. Shirl happy to see you are getting some relief, you know it is slow going with Physical therapy so dont try to rush things. Steady as she goes.I am always interested in the "why and how" she is helping you. Sheila sounds like you are all set up for winter now. Glad you got your valve fixed and hope it wasnt too expensive.

I am going up to Laura's for Thanksgiving and I look forward to seeing her as always. Will just be small and safe. Laura, her Mom and I. Hope everyone can have a good and safe holiday as our virus numbers are totally out of control. My circle is small. My buddy at the Hotel is flying to her granddaughters in Idaho for Thanksgiving so I wont be hanging with her when she gets back for at least a couple of weeks. In fact I dont have to go back down there until the middle of December but I will make a couple of quick trips to get more stuff out of my storage unit. I have stuff to donate to the Fire Victims donation center. Several winter coats that are very much needed right now. Their benefits supposedly run out the end of December so I am not sure what some of those people will do. Hopefully they will get more relief $$$$. I am fortunate that I found this house when I did, as prices are increasing here also as people are totally priced out of the market down there. Also not much available either. They are slowly working their way north to the area where I am. Not alot of industry here tho so not sure about the job market. Anyway I am very thankful for how things worked out for me, made it out safely with my dog, and have awesome support from all of you. I am slowly acquiring "stuff" again. Ya know it is the little things that you go to get and then remember you dont have them anymore LOL

Stay safe everyone,
Karen
