Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Oh yeah, the painter guy finally showed up! I showed him what I need painted and he said he does a minimum $200 worth of work and mine wouldn't be nearly that so he won't do it. He also is backed up for 6 weeks out with work. However, I asked him about the paint issues I have been having. It turns out that I was using the sample paint I got, even tho I have a quart of the same colored paint. He said the samples are not real paint and not meant to be used for actual painting, and that is why it isn't sticking. Duh!! I never thought of that! So I need to strip off the paint I have already put on and start over with the real stuff.

I have a message for the other painter (the pool guy here does a lot of painting here in the park and comes highly recommended) to contact me this week and will see if he is willing to paint for me and what he charges.
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

Lost earlier post. Had a very positive doctor appointment, apparently I have good bones. Diagnosis was muscle spasms brought on by a bulging disc brought on by inactivity (pandemic and self isolation) and apartment living. Physical therapy should bring me back to fighting form. Feeling very grateful tonight for health and a moving conversation with oldest granddaughter. It has been a horrific two weeks and my whole family stepped up to take care of me. I thanked my gd and she told me to pat myself on the back because I taught them to be the strong women they are and the strong family we are. Those words made me feel my life was worthwhile. Feeling sentimental and tears, must be those #*&$ drugs. :D

The post I put here earlier wasn't even supposed to go here. I go to several [private boards of Facebook and that was their message. After I typed what I wanted here, I copied it but for some reason, pasting it sent my Facebook message, which I didn't see until I checked in later in the day. And it was too late to delete it.

I can't remember what I said except that I hoped Shirl listened to Anne. wonderful therapy. martha, I don't wear pajamas in public, either. I wear mine to bed and nowhere else. eth, I'm anxious to hear about your new job. barbie, I didn't know that about the sample paints, either,

The concrete was supposed to be poured for our casita today, but because of today & tomorrows rain, that didn't ha ppen. but since we're parked facing a pond, we're enjoying the ducks, so it's not all bad.

did make it to Parker to WalMart got what I needed as well as wanted... started home was going to stop for diesel (it is a few cents cheaper) but the sun was in the wrong position and just could clearly see to change lanes so will have to in future leave earlier in the day... and avoid the west sun... even though I am going south...
by the time I am on here and try to remember what people said to make replies I can't remember everything that was said or even a part of it...
my heart hurt to hear of you that had such awful experiences with someone who said they loved you... I was so fortunate to have a husband that never once raised a hand or voice to me...
Beth a change perhaps... and here I was visualizing going down to Yuma and meeting at the Kneaders... but whatever is the best for you and your needs.. just hope you will make it to the GTG...
it is cold tonight and once again I neglected to move the small canister so I could hook up the buddy... if I do that tomorrow will need to move some of Shadow's stuff so that the buddy can be turned on...
was coming home tonight and saw a dog running out where there was noone about but when I pulled over to stop and see what I could do he ran back hopefully he found home... then when I went to turn on the generator heard something but truly don't know if it was dog coyote or fox... and totally dark (8 PM) and I don't know about you all but figuring where the sound was coming from was impossible... like when Larry would ask me to figure out where the squeak was coming from and I was never right... I just hope that the little guy found home
might take those larger tanks in and get them filled this cold maybe here for a bit... just went and looked and day time is going to be ok it's those night time temps that I will grumble about so may go fill them or at least move the one over
you all have a great day

How in the heck do you dress like a cajun?? I hate those dress-up things where you have to go out and buy something and then still feel silly.

I am in Boulder Beach (the non-hookup side) for one night. I had to run some shopping errands, and it is very seldom I get to a place where there are good stores. I have been wearing the same two pairs of SAS shoes for the past three years, so I got a little extra money a few weeks ago and was not only able to pay off the last of my motorhome payments, but also got a couple of new pairs of SAS sandals. The old two pairs go in the trash in the morning. They are very expensive, but when you only buy shoes every 3-4 years, it works out.

Also stopped at a jewelry store to find out if the Rolex watch I found at my aunt's house was real or fake. As I had thought, it was fake. Aunt is currently wearing a real one, however. I do not wear a watch at all, but at least now I know the value--which is zilch!! Also picked up some groceries and am headed east to Oatman, AZ, for a couple of days, then headed to Joshua Tree NP and will stop by to see Barbie. Then on to Dana Point to put some stuff in the new safety deposit box that the other POA has opened. Want to go through some of the really old stuff from the Georgia house I cleaned out--like my uncle's elementary school stuff. My parents raised him, so my mother signed his report cards. She and my dad were only 22 when his and my father dad died and they took him in. Uncle was 9, so quite young.

I also have some letters he wrote to my mother and dad when he had joined the air force right out of college and was stationed in Iowa to get his masters degree in engineering. Interesting to look at old stuff.
