Sunny and Warm Thursday

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Sunny and Warm Thursday

At least it is a LOT warmer here at Willow Beach along the Colorado River than it was in Grand Canyon. I am waiting to get a tracking number from my son so I can go to the post office, pick up my mail including my ballot, and mail it back to Ohio. It is a long drive to the post office, so I won't go until I get the tracking info.

Late, but my system has been upset, so I am finally going to fix myself some bacon and blueberry pancakes. It will be brunch, obviously.

This place has a ton on quail and dozens of little bunnies that come out i n the evening. It was fun watching the neighbor's well-behaved dog last night. She could not decide which bunny to stare at and occasionally made a small lunch to try to get them.

Hi Judy & everyone!

Judy, I'm so glad you got to an area that is warmer than where you were. There are times we need to do these things.

The weather has been in the high 80's in central FL but ntonight we will get down to about 60, so I'll have to crank on the heater in the morning so we can shower.

beth, thanks for posting the pictures for Sheila. Sheila, you do good work! Velda, I'm so glad you finally got your electrical situation solved. I'm curious as to why there was a GFI outlet behind the desk. In md, we only needed them if they were within six feet of a water outlet. Shirl, you can tent in our yard anytime.

Our brother in laws Celebration of Life will be nov. 6, so we will go to Daytona for a couple days to spend time with family.

Well, I should have known from past experience that I can't work around here two days in a row. I slept in this morning and then made some phone calls which took up half my day and wore me out! Then took a long nap!

I called the number I was given for my new health insurance. We have been playing phone tag all week. Finally got thru. Well, after talking a bit, it turns out they are not an insurance company and are located in Spokane WA. They have the same name as the insurance company I was put on here. So I had to find the right number and call that. I got that straightened out and they will send me my info packet and member card, hopefully soon! Then called my doctors office to make an appointment for my physical but was told they don't take that insurance. Then they called back and said they made a mistake and they do take it but I need to wait until Monday when the insurance becomes active (November 1st). Made a call to my dentist to give them info on my new dental insurance. Then called Costco (again!) to get an eye exam scheduled. Once again, they said to leave a message and they would call back but I never got a call back all day. So I called Walmart Optical and got an appointment for tomorrow morning.

After all that, I fell asleep and slept for over 3 hours. :o Got up in time to watch Gunsmoke at 7:30 tonight. So I got nothing done around here all day. Didn't even feel much like eating. I did go to the mailbox. I received my updated CA cosmetology license that expires on the 31st. I was late in ordering a new one so was glad I got it just in time!

Hopefully, I will feel better tomorrow and get back to getting stuff done around here. My manager called and wanted to know if I could work tomorrow. I said no. That would have me working 5 days in a row next week. I just can't work 5 eight hour days in a row. I just get so tired so easily now days. Hopefully I can get an appointment soon with my doctor when I call on Monday.

Back to bed shortly...

Judy, I am glad you are staying in a better, warmer place! Enjoy the river!
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)
