good news, bad news Monday

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

good news, bad news Monday

Postby BarbaraRose » Mon Oct 19, 2020 10:44 am

Was getting ready for work this morning and had a few extra minutes to kill so went thru some mail. Opened up my tax bill. Last year it was almost $900. This year it is only $600. That was a pleasant surprise! I figured it was a great start to my day...

...then I went out to my car. Nothing, nada, just a click, click, click. So now I am waiting for someone to come look at it. Hopefully just the battery and not the starter.

So money in and money out! :( Murphy's law, I guess.

Hope you all have a better start to your day! :D
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

Yep, it's always something. I was out picking up trash and found a vent cover like goes on a camper. Started checking and it came off the saddle room on the horse trailer. I need to sell it but the title is in Harold's name. I guess I need to go to the DMV and see if I can change the title. The RV supply in Lafayette has the vent covers but I don't want to go to Lafayette.

The coach batteries in the motorhome aren't holding a charge. Something else to see about. We don't have another campout until the week before Thanksgiving. The campground that was picked doesn't have a meeting room. No telling what the weather will be so I'm not making reservations. If I can't get a site, oh well.

Good title for today! Good news I'm up early waiting for handyman. Followed by IBad news, 'm up early and he messages he overslept because he was sick and feverish overnight! And has an appointment in a town 15 miles north in 1 hour! So guess I'll try to get other stuff done until Curves at 11, then hope he gets here by 1. Ugh.
Hopefully the rest of today and week go better!
I heard the turkeys foraging in my back yard but they had wandered off by the time I decided to go look. At least they are reducing the bug population!
Nice blue sky, 78 degrees, only 1 small 10 acre fire that I heard of from our red flag weekend and evacuations for that have been lifted.
Happy Monday !

It was just the battery so that is good. Got to work by 11am. Been busy today.

Floors washed, did the second window with a partial before picture on that post in the general room. I've been waiting on a package so put off going to the store. Ha, should have known it wouldn't be early. Who knows, might not show today. Obviously nothing exciting to report.

Velda, I was going to hear the light problem was found! Barbie, who would your battery be dead? Is that something you might need to replace? Same question for you Martha on the rv batteries.

Bought a few things for my new place today. I am going up there tomorrow and will be the first time since I got the keys on Thursday. The carpet people are coming to measure my house for carpeting. Had the electric turned on today so will have heat. My car is full of some of the stuff I have bought (you know little stuff mostly for the kitchen). Will leave it up there. I figure every time I go up there I can take some stuff. Want to clear out my storage unit before December. Pretty sure I can do this LOL

I will be anxious to get back on my healthy eating regime. It is very hard living in a hotel with such a small kitchen but I am still grateful for that. Just dont cook like I am used to, also doing more eating out than usual.

Furniture and appliances are hard to come by right now as so many need them they are back ordered. At least I have some in my house, just not to my liking LOL Will be checking out some furniture tomorrow while I am up there, might as well get on the waiting list.

been working hard today to get things ready to leave tomorrow... just a few things outside that need to be put somewhere...not sure where it's amazing how different people pack  I may need to repack when I get to Ogden or not may just ignore it till I get to Q... and then I've put stuff in different places and all the sudden not finding a spot for some of the items... I guess if I just get it out of the way if it's a problem can fix it while in Utah... didn't get the vacuuming done but decided that it can be done while I am stopped...
last night when we were talking about supper tonight granddaughter reminded me that I had planned on making Moroccan Chicken so stopped and got the stuff and made supper... not sure if I forgot something or what as it didn't seem to have quite the flavor that it normally has... I need to remember to get some stuff from the house tomorrow... forgot to bring them down when I came down...
Son in law took me over to see my mom we were there just for a little bit.. he fixed her toilet and emptied the pellets from the pellet stove so that is ready for them when they bring the new one... I watered her plants really need to do something about the soil next summer... some how had to it some of the plants I can just re-pot but some are way too big ...
it's windy tonight hope that dies down tomorrow sure glad I had him keep the jacks down
you all be safe think I will check the weather
