Is it really Friday already?

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Is it really Friday already?

Postby MandysMom » Fri Oct 09, 2020 12:07 pm

Asked myself, how can it be the second Friday of October already? My son amd I decided that this past two years gave gone both very slow and very fast at the same time, but ESP this year!
Spent yesterday mostly supervising my hamdynan. With morning ointment thir eye, it's really blurry for coule hours , but it is less irritated feeling now, 2 days after contact bandage removal. Hopefully it's continuing to heal and will be ready to do the other eye in 3 weeks. I can almost laugh at the crazy varied complications so many aspects of life have brought this year, but my eyes is certainly not one I could have predicted any more than the rest.
Weather cooling here, 55 this morning, but still no rain likely. High of 76 today, but back to 90 next week.
Beth, hope your short drive day went well. Barbara, we look forward to photos and more details when you are home again. Martha, please let is know you are ok.
Have a good day everyone. I think this afternoon I'll be meeting handyman at Home Depot to pick up some items and look at a replacement lighted number sign for my house - the old one, the day night sensor is faulty blinking off and on all night. Mel kept it going for over 20 years but I think it's time. Getting new sprinkler timer too, a new type that I can change using my phone instead of the old pin set type.

Velda, hope you get your eyes taken care of soon.

Just met with Karen and Laura for breakfast. We had a nice chat. Great company! :)

Beautiful here today! Not sure what the plan is for the rest of the day. Supposed to rain tomorrow.

Have a good day!
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

My short drive became no drive. My bff and I talked the day away. So I just relooked possibly stops for tomorrow. It still won't be long, but made no sense to stop as soon as I would have leaving this afternoon. I love having options. And this week has really brought home one of the reasons I love this lifestyle. I was able to spend time with my sis and bil and another couple I'm good friends with, then today with my bff. We have always been so scattered, and I see everyone more now. My bff planned to visit with one or two grandchildren in SD this summer, but we all understand why that didn't happen. I'm just glad, with protections in place, visiting hasn't been impossible.

Back on the way tomorrow. I hope this Sam's Club hasn't raised gas prices since I looked yesterday. If my memory serves me right they were posted under $1.70! I'll fill the tank whatever they are, but that would be awesome.

back home... yea not that I don't enjoy being with family but even though my bed is not comfortable it's better than my granddaughter's :? one of my daughter's is a Pampered Chef consultant so she asked me to deliver an order to someone in Idaho Falls which said I would go through it... had her met me at Walmart (even found my books good stop) so when I went to leave I choose to turn right instead of waiting on traffic... was going to turn around but the name of the street sound familiar and recognized some of the businesses so thought I knew where I was.... and thought it was a street that had a entrance to the freeway.... Nope it didn't  so thought that I would just turn right when I could and go back to somewhere that would have hmmm the sign said Pocatello or Butte well neither one was where I wanted to go so just kept going it was in the right direction North!!! sometimes NW where I really needed NE but still was in the direction I needed to go sure was pretty road followed the Snake River in some area's just a nice road then finally a right turn (looked like the road quit not far up from the right turn) so went right after all that was East and again in the right direction as I needed to go North and again East to get to the freeway... kept going and going and many times on this road the thought came I may not know where I am but I am going in the right direction!!! finally saw a street sign County Line Road oh yes I know where I am but again I kept going and going and going even to the point of thinking I ought to call my daughter and see where I am :o but then thought she will laugh at me and hey I am going in the right direction  about then saw the freeway and new that this one had a entrance on it .... so happy to see that freeway but at the same time I totally enjoyed the drive... it's one that my 3rd daughter would enjoy and my husband would have as well... my mom's birthday is tomorrow she will be 94 my brother picked her up today (she had a dr's appointment so he took her) and then he took her back to his house so my daughter and I are going to pick her up and take her to my grandson's for breakfast then into Rexburg to get her hair cut and permed not sure what else I am hoping we going the long way home see if the trees are still in color...
I still have some stuff to put away and need to find some thread and finish up this quilt since we are going to my grandson's for bk will take the quilt with me and one project finished... I am also going to measure the afghan if it's big enough then will see how to finish it up and trim the fringe still have the fringe on my nephew's afghan to trim... it's just doing it... I am not sure what he is up to as he hasn't replied back I was hoping that I could take it to him tomorrow... but don't think that is going to happen...
couldn't believe it found a card that I thought mom would laugh at got up to the check out and it was 10.00 dollars :o :o so I didn't get it...
you all have a good night.. Glad you got to see Karen and Laura Barbie
Martha hope all is well
Velda hope that the eye's heal right
