Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Cloudy Thurday

Good Morning All, cloudy on the shore and temps in the high 6o’s - low 70’s. I’ll take it. Suppose to shower off and on but that’s ok, it’s good for the complexion. Have an eye appointment and going shopping for chicken wings for air fryer today. Guess that means I have to dress and tame the wispy hair. Be safe

It is not cloudy here, but it is a panicky morning. I went on a long canyon tour yesterday with incredible views, but got back after dark and had to drive 35 miles back to campsite. EXCEPT, when i was out of Moab, I noticed I had no tail lights--none, of any kind!! I did have headlights, and the road construction was horrible, so I just drove home anyway. (Yes, I know I should not have done it, but I just wanted to get back to my site and get parked.)

Luckily, almost the entire drive was empty of traffic, especially once I got on the road to Canyonlands. I did have turn signals, and made it back safely without seeing hardly any other cars. So today, I am going to replace the bulbs and then drive to Moab and try to get what I think is a fuse replaced. I have not had running lights for over a month, but have not driven at night until now, so did not worry about it, but now I am really panicky.

Am eating a quick bagel and then going outside. Going to try to get help from camp host.

Oh, and of course, I had motorhome driving nightmares all night!!

Had my eye appt today again for the other eye. Then went to the store to pick up a bit of food, socks and underwear. Ya know the essentials in life. I need to go back over to my storage unit to bring back some knives that will actually cut something. I have one dull paring knife and really big dull knife. I would hate to try to slit my throat with either one, would be a long slow death LOL Also looking for a clock. There is none in this room..weird. Oh well I looked at Walmart the other day not a clock to be found. Since there are over 42,000 people displaced between my fire Almeda and the Obenchain fire a little east of Medford no wonder there is little to be had. Amazon here I come.

over at my mom's she didn't sleep well last night so see her dosing a lot. we did go out to lunch checked a couple of places for a pellet stove... she has used one for many years. but the part she needs replaced we have not been able to find looked last year.. the company is out of business... so she is looking for a new stove... not a cheap venture...
it's tempting to join her in her cat nap but when one goes to bed late and up early that cat nap would be a down and out deep sleep... so better wait will be able to sleep in tomorrow...
did get the 4 rows on my afghan done and the quilt penned because I am not putting it one the quilt frames it's just penned and all I am doing is tying it...
any body else have problems getting on today? kept getting error messages... no idea why.
not an overly interesting day
I think if mom wasn't so tired I'd suggest a drive but not sure I'm alert enough... might weave more than I did yesterday ;)

Karen, are you now able to get into your storage unit? Is everything OK in there?

Long day at work. Was pretty busy all day and we had a big rush the last two hours.

Nothing else happening here. Have a good evening!

Barbie yes I got in there yesterday but just grabbed a couple of things as I just wanted to see if anything melted. Fire was all around it but my unit is in the middle so it fared very well. When I pulled up the door ash went everywhere from the roller door. Kicked my allergies into high gear got an allergy shot today and feeling much better today. Poke in the eye this morning, poke in the arm this afternoon LOL

Anne no worries really, I ordered one from Amazon, well actually 2 as my friend wants one too. Us old gals cant see as well so the tiny ones dont work for us.

I am trying not to buy too darn much until I figure out where I will land and just what I will need . Emma is getting extremely social here. She now calls herself the official greeter. The housekeepers have to stop and pet her, the gals in the lobby also have to pet her. And then any random person that just walks by LOL She ran into Barney when they were getting off the elevator and of course she almost lost her mind. He was the dog I dog sat once in a while so he is one of her buddies. No fenced dog park here to let them loose.

Tomorrow at 10:30 the Samaritin's Purse group of volunteers is coming out to my house to sift and see if they can find anything. They are doing a neighbors at 8:30 then mine. We have to be there to tell them where to look should be interesting to see if they find anything.

I stopped a couple of walkers past my motorhome today and asked them to help me identify which lights on the back of my vehicle were which, and which worked and did not work. There are three "tail" lights on top of one another, so I discovered that the top two on each side were turn signals and brake lights, and all four worked! Yea. Bottom light is backup, and it also works. Also good news is that the flashers work in the back!

But I have no working tail lights, and no working running lights (the ones on top and the sides of my rig), and no front daytime running lights. One of the camp hosts is coming over to test my fuses tomorrow afternoon.

I ran into town to get a water fill because no water at this campground. There is horrible road construction and the town's main roads have a steep slope when you turn into or out of a driveway to a store or parking lot. In my case, it means my long RV rear end will drag and make a horrible scraping noise if you do not enter or exit on an angle, and the whole town seems cramped and difficult.

Judy, I'm guessing that's a fuse. Those same went out more than once on my rig. In my case it was because of a connection to towing my car. It took forever to figure out why it kept happening. New car has a different connector and so far, knock on wood, no problem. So I hope it's just the fuse... That's an easy fix.
