I'm not feeling too talkative right now.i was sad all day and thinking of Mel and what was happening 2 years ago today.
It reached 104 for a short time here, but mostly hovered at 102.

Thank you everyone. The days leading to Saturday were with dread. Saturday I was overwhelmed with sadness. Today, Sunday I've felt just exhausted, drained and detached mentally. Hopeful tomorrow brings a better day, yet I know what the foggy days until his funeral, on my 70th birthday were like. One day at a time.

Velda......my thoughts for strengths, peace and grace go out for you. One advantage I have grasped and hold on to as I get older is that when the "darkness and weariness" of spirit hit me.....I try to be patient with myself......I acknowledge the realness of the grief and dark hole of pain and try to gently remind myself that this "place" I am in is a "valley" and I have been in it before and that I have walked through it before and I hold onto that memory and a faith that I can walk through it again...if I just keep moving forward and.... just keep breathing...... Keep checking in or you know we will reach through and check in on you....
