Sheila, JoAnn Fabrics has grommet kits in all different sizes. I am going to get some smaller ones tomorrow morning, but they have them big enough to go over wooden curtain rods. Here are some instructions i found on Lowes site. It looks just like the way I put snaps on my front privacy curtains. Takes a hammer and some scrap wood or you can put them on a piece of cement of a flat rock. https://www.lowes.com/n/how-to/how-to-install-grommets

Glad Emma is doing well!

It topped out here yesterday at 112. It's been quite a while since temps here have been so high.

It was 82 when I got up at 7:00 am, just now we are having thunder and lightning, but just a few drops, not even enough to wet the ground, of rain.

Summer thunder and lightning is extremely rare here, can't remember the last time it happened. The storm is coming in west to east - thus heading for the foothills and high Sierras. Lightning, with little to no rain, in the bone-dry mountains, is potentially very bad news indeed.

Hoping this doesn't start a whole new batch of wildfire.
