Restful Wednesday

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Restful Wednesday

I am now at Tillicum Beach in my favorite spot overlooking the ocean. Actually, I am on the opposite side of the camp road from the beach, but since I back in, I can see a bit of the water, assuming only cars are parked across from me, which is usually the case since the first-come sites across from me are non-hookups and mostly there are tenters there. In any case, the steps to the beach are only a few feet away.

The important thing is that it is really cool here, in fact, chilly enough to wear a sweatshirt or jacket. Anyway, i have plenty of work to do today inside, and I am here for 6 days, so am going to spend today catching up with work, POA duties and watching TV. I drove 215 miles across two mountain ranges, so it was a long and tiring drive. Just hate these two-lane roads where it is a constant left-right-left-right-left-right, etc. Nothing but curves.

By the way, Tillicum is BLM so water and electric site costs me only about $23 per night. Not too many sites have a view as mine does, and I have to go to Waldport to dump, but it is worth it. Location, location, location. Lovely to hear the ocean and feel the breeze.

Ran into two women in parking lots yesterday who saw me driving and said I gave them inspiration that maybe they could drive a motorhome also! One was in one with her husband, but had never driven it, and she was only in her 40s! Get out there and try, ladies!!!!!!!

Judy, that curvy drive must have gotten you confused on what day it is! I can totally relate! (You can go back and delete the other one. Or Beth will do it.) Enjoy your view and cooler weather!

I was up late last night on line so I slept past noon today. Another really hot day and no need to go outside, so will stay in and do something constructive around here in between Gunsmoke episodes.
Oh yeah, I need to run to the library today. Better do that soon before it gets REALLY hot! I have to call them and let them know I am coming and then call again when I get there. They bring out the books and set them on a table by the door for me to pick up. The ones that are dropped off, get put in "quarantine" for several days before being put back in circulation.

Have a good day! :D

not a whole to say as I have been doing not a lot but yelling at the goats to move away from my plants!!! ok really only done it three times in the last two day's but whose counting :o
need to go get milk but need to defrost the freezer first ... one of the plus to this new cooler on my old fridge is that the fins on the inside don't ice over so I don't have to defrost it but the freezer still needs to so tomorrow will take what is in it to dd's freezer and defrost the freezer maybe then the fridge will be more consistent on it's readings...
Beth that will be neat that you will be that close as of now I plan on being there (Q that is) not sure what I would do if I didn't go... diffidently need to make it to MX this winter both for teeth and now for glasses .... I found an old pair that the prescription isn't too far off but eyes get tired so must be some difference or my eyes are just saying you are reading way to much
Which restaurant are you referring to Beth?
wonder what changes will be made in Q for the winter??? I am sure that their will be some
you all have a good day

I am pooped. I got most of my stuff loaded for the campout. Getting ready to go is a lot like work. My son sprained his ankle so I told him I would go to Walmart with him and help him shop. He rode the cart. I thought about stopping on my way out tomorrow but shopping today was a better idea. I would have had to leave Sugar in the camper.

Finally a day without rain but it was hot and humid. I had sweat running in my eyes before I got finished tonight. Tonight they have the tropical storm going on the other side of Florida. Just so it doesn't get in the Gulf.

They showed the Kentucky Fried Chicken Crocs on the news. They sold out in a half an hour when they went on sale. I don't know who would want to wear something like that. All the KFC's had closed here. A few years ago they started building them all over. I have been to the one in Abbeville once. The chicken wasn't as good as I remembered.

Sheila, we had lunch in a restaurant in Yuma... Not a fancy place, but good food. I guess there are more of them as you mentioned being to one elsewhere. I'd never heard of them but definitely enjoyed it.

One of my employees fell today on some stairs... Broke two bones in her hand. It's called a boxers fracture. I asked if she was punching the stairs. I feel really bad for her though. But I told her she's just trying to get out of heavy duties. LOL She knew I was teasing. Luckily she's right handed and it's her left hand. Cast for a month.

Judy, nice spot. Listening to the ocean is always calming for me.

Martha, I cracked up yesterday when I saw a pic of those Crocs. No I wouldn't wear them. I bet many who purchased are going to save them, I can't believe all those buyers want to wear them!

Martha, when you mentioned the KFC crocs, I was hoping it was about shoes, not some crocodile meat that KFC was now serving! Lol! I have never been a fan of KFC. Their chicken is so-so but their sides are awful! Taste like the old Banquet TV dinners!

Got my library books today and have been looking thru them. Mostly art books. Got some on Chinese brush painting and Japanese symbol writing. Those are things I have always been interested in. Maybe I can incorporate those into the gourd art at some point.

Just watching the weather forecast and they are saying it will be at or over 120* from now into early next week!. Not going anywhere for awhile. Other than laundry, I don't need to go anywhere, and the laundry can wait for awhile longer. I got plenty of books, food, and things to do around here. Will be getting some stuff from Amazon tomorrow, including both the camera and GPS, so I will have plenty of time to learn how to use both of them.

Off to bed soon. Done with my Gunsmoke shows for the night.
