Last Friday in June!

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Last Friday in June!

Summer is going by fast! I went to Mackinac Island yesterday, but got a late start. That was OK, as I really only planned to stay a short time. Did a lot of walking around, had a very late lunch, and enjoyed a beautiful few hours with a lovely breeze.

Masks are still required in Michigan in public places, so everyone was wearing one on the boat, in lines, and in stores and all buildings. A lot of the stores and restaurants were still closed, however. Mackinac Island is located in a very isolated place, so they have had hardly any Covid 19 cases. With the summer tourist season, the northern parts of the states get inundated with literally hundreds of thousands of tourists, many of whom go to the island. The big worry is that they will also bring with them the virus from other, more populated places.

Today I am in my campground near Munising and plan to go out to take a boat ride tomorrow and stop for a few groceries before I leave on Sunday.

Hi All, (as it is afternoon) Judy. I loved the time I seent in Michigan in 2019. I went all over the state and stayed in so many state parks that the pass I bought saved me $75. Thanks to Sue.
I now have a new TV system to learn. I bought a RokU!!!!! I know you Annie love yours. seeing as some of the sports I like to watch will be beginning soon. it was recommended by the DD's significant other as he has it. So far, pretty simple. Oh yes, we go thru Tube for programs. So, we have cut the cord!!! (I think)
June glum was gone today, and the pool was beautiful! Right now, only residents are allowed, no guests, and it is quite empty for us!!!

Hi Lyn.

Congratulations on your purchase of a Roku! I have used my Roku exclusively for ALL my television watching for many years now - seven or eight I think, I don't remember. Most of the stuff on Roku is free, so it has been quite a savings over paying a monthly $100 cable bill during these years.

If you - or anyone else - has any questions about the Roku, do please ask. I am happy to help - I'm not a Roku expert by any means, but I do like to help where I can.

For those unfamiliar with the device: Roku is really pretty simple to use - it is basically just "plug and play".

And, no, I don't have any vested interest in Roku, nor do I sell them - although it might seem like it!! :D

We have used Roku plus a over the air antenna for quite a few years now. You do need Internet via your wifi to give Roku the signal. After Mel died, Chris and I treated ourselves to the latest Roku which has voice responding remote. Chris pings it with hus phone if he drops the remote in his chair or under it amd the remote rings back to find it. We get our Netflix Hulu through it as well, though those are not free. We really like it.
Lynn so glad you have your pool to keep cool.
