Fathers Day Sunday

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Fathers Day Sunday

Postby Othersharon » Sun Jun 21, 2020 12:06 pm

Good morning all. Well, just afternoon here! Today is kind of special besides it being Fathers Day for me. It would is my DH birthday and our first grandchild was born on this date. So this year , I think, is the first time all 3 are the same day since she was born. The temps are up and humidity too but the sun is shining right now so it’s a good day! As much as I don’t like to say it we need some rain. Any storms we’ve had in the area have dropped a bit but mostly missed us. It’s like we’re in the donut hole or something. Really strange. I spent a good part of yesterday afternoon cleaning out the inside of my car. It needed a good vacuuming and wipe down. I found the greatest brush for getting dog hair off of the seats. Makes the job so much easier. Not much else happening here so I’ll quit procrastinating and get outside to enjoy the day. Hope you all have a great day.

Hi Sharon & everyone!

Sharon, we're getting the rain in NC that you're missing. Yesterday & today are the only days we've haven't had any rain here. I've told lots of people that the puddles here will never dry.

When we got to NC, I was wearing jeans, a long sleeved top & vest. Now I'm back in capris and short sleeve shirt. It looks like the temperatures will stay warm with a chance of rain almost every evening. Chicken thighs are in the crockpot which will be topped with BBQ sauce when done and served with a salad as a side. Tuesday we are meeting my next younger sister & hubby for a tour of Cape Hatteras and have lunch somewhere with outside seating.

Enjoy the day and stay safe.

About all I did today was make my cookies. I didn't know what I was going to have for lunch but when I was looking for a place in the freezer for the cookies a pizza was in the way. So I had pizza for lunch. Went fishing for a while but they weren't bitting again. About the time I got tired of fishing it started sprinkling but we never did get any rain. We are suppose to get a lot of rain this week.

My appointment for my RV is Tuesday so will probably try to get it to the shop tomorrow so I don't have to get up so early on Tuesday.

my MIFI wouldn't work last night and I couldn't figure out how to get the cover off to take the battery out dd's did that today and I think now I know how to do it
sil tried to hook up my tv but the tv isn't showing any signs of getting the satellite. so not sure what I need to do did text my grandson but he hasn't gotten back with me... at least the dish is as close as it can be until the tv and the dish start communicating I am stuck need to decide what to do... dd's keep trying to get me to go without and just stream what I want to watch but I can't seem to wrap my head around how to do it. one was telling me today that it would be cheaper... I just don't "get it" would have to up my data usage on my MIFI for one thing so that would cost more...
been working on my afghan some today of course a nap in all in all it's a typical Sunday
Barbie how long are you going to foster out Maya?
going to mom's tomorrow think I need to tackle the fridge as garbage day is Tues... perhaps vacuum

Sheila, if your Mifi is anything like ours, besides taking the battery out, sometimes it needs to be reset and the reset button is on one end just outside from where the battery sits. In very small letters it says "reset." I open a large paperclip and poke the end of the paperclip into the tiny opening to reset the Mifi. You do this after you have put the battery back in, do the reset and then pop the cover back on.

Sheila, our Mifi is a Verizon Jetpack. And yes, the reset is on the outside, but you have to take the cover off the back to see it.

Sheila, I would reset with the battery in.

I bought my Mifi on Amazon after my old one died. Just activated it, no contract and cheaper than Verizon

Nope just take the Sim card out of the old and put it in the new. Will show up on your account with the new device as active. No charge.
