Wednesday

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Wednesday

Good afternoon! I decided to take a break and check up on things here! It’s a much cooler day then what we’ve been having. Plus we got some rain move quickly through the last couple of afternoons. Much needed! My sleep has been so messed up lately, not falling asleep until early hours of the a.m. and then sleeping much later then I like. For the days of sleeping as soon as my head hit the pillow! I spent the afternoon out at the Grange “campground” yesterday with my friends. They have a bunch of campers and tenters coming in over the next few days and are scrambling to get into the campground mode vs fair mode. Trying to get everyone on the same page is kinda interesting to watch. I just kept my thoughts to myself since I’m just a visitor! They have enough opinions flying around! But they’ll pull it together, I’m sure!
So nothing else happening in my life right now and that’s a good thing! I thought about going out for an early dinner yesterday on my way home but just can’t quite get comfortable going into a restaurant for a meal yet. So break time is over and I need to get back to my project. Have a good day and stay safe.

Hump day

Postby SoCalGalcas » Wed Jun 24, 2020 1:06 pm

. Good Morning, I talked with my doc this morning. Results of CT scan. The lump in my abd is a large hernia. I do not want surgery . Major abd surgery at my age does not sound like fun. And, crappy lungs too.
Final decision: will do nothing, just observe and watch for symptoms of bowel obstruction.
I have not sold my trailer yet. It is parked on a residential street,in their driveway so gets interest frequently. Every time I see it, I want to go camping. My grandson has it on Craig’s list.

Sorry about your hernia, but as we say at this age, "It could have been worse!" Not fun, however, but if you eventually have to have surgery, then you will have to have it. At least, i hope it does not bother you for now.

I went to Mackinaw City and bought some fudge today. It has been rainy and cold, and i was originally going to go to Mackinac Island today, but the weather was not looking good. About 2 pm, the sun came out, and I decided I really, really, really needed fudge, plus I wanted to get out of my RV for a while. So, here is the photo I have to share with you all:

I am not sure if I will be going to the island tomorrow or not. If I go, it means not getting to Pictured Rocks in Munising until early evening.

So far the rain predictions haven't happened here. I have only received 2 inches yesterday and today. Yesterday there was street flooding in town 10 miles from me. They are predicting flooding rain tomorrow so I decided to go get cat food today and stay home tomorrow. I lead such an exciting life.

Judy, the picture of all that fudge doesn't temp me but I could sure go for an ice cream cone. One of the convince stores on the way to Lafayette has a sign that they are serving Blue Bell ice cream. I have to go to the dentist on Monday. Maybe I'll get an ice cream treat on my way home. I bought a pound of crawfish and really wanted fried crawfish. I knew if I fried them I would want french fries too so made an étouffée.
