Happy Thursday

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Happy Thursday

I'm off work today and intend to drive through Custer State Park. It's one of my happy places and I need that and the calming effect it has on me. Meantime I just woke Ty up so I see the necessity of getting out of bed soon. Cooler temps... 90's gone, thank you, mid 50's right now, might get to 70. Sundress with a sweatshirt as necessary. Perfect.

Have a wonderful day!
Beth

Good morning Beth and all who follow. It's a bright sunny day here with temps to head up into 90's Andover 100 later in the week. I need to get out to pick up a birthday card, but otherwise another day in semi quarantine. We are well and happy so that's what counts here. Hope all have a good day and Beth I hope you see lots of beautiful critters and scenery.

Beth, hope you get to your happy place today. 50's sounds pretty good, it's 92 here. My happy place is at Toledo Bend Lake and I haven't been since last October. The 4th is on a Saturday this year so there will be a lot of fireworks at the lake. My sister and I will probably go if the weather is good. I need to call the vet and see if they can board Sugar. Thunder doesn't seem to bother her but I don't know about fireworks.

I want to go mow in Maurice but not bad enough to load the mower.

Good afternoon from a very nice sunny morning. Had to get my outside work done early as it is going to be in the low 90's today and many more days to follow. So far thanking my lucky stars no fires..........yet even after our thunder and lightning last week.

Had to fix a leak in my watering system but got er done so think I am good to go now. Yeah right, I keep thinking that.

I am happy that I get to go camping again the middle of July. I think social distancing while camping is really easy. Our last campout worked out just fine last month. We dont have potlucks (works for me) but had some pastries, chips, and a few finger foods to share, that was plenty. I am not living in fear of the virus but I am definitely embracing protective measures.
I just cannot live my life in fear and still enjoy it. But I can be cognizant of the fact not everyone is doing it. We graduated to Phase 2 a few weeks ago our county is doing very well.
We still have zero deaths. Northeast Oregon had a huge outbreak 240 positives and most attended a large Pentecostal church activity. The greater Portland counties have the most issues and deaths. Glad I am in rural southern Oregon.

My tomato plants have tomatoes on them but will be a while before they are the edible kind instead of the baby green tomatoes. I bought a couple of Roma tomatoes the other day for my BLT's and I just cant wait for my own flavorful tomatoes.

Have fun today Beth

Good evening! Karen, I love fresh tomatoes out of the garden. I had a lot of cherry tomatoes this year but hardly any regular sized tomatoes, for some reason. Lots of plant but few tomatoes. Will try again next winter.

The owner came in to the shop today. He is a really nice guy but we started talking about Covid and I just wanted the conversation to be over as soon as it started. He said a lot of things I didn't agree with but one thing he said was that if we could get everyone infected, we would get to the herd immunity and then wouldn't have to worry about it any more. I was just shocked! Of course, I just bit my tongue and then luckily a customer came in about then.

It was pretty slow at work, and just me and my manager working today. Another stylist didn't make it in but it worked out fine anyways. I have Saturday, Sunday and Monday off next weekend. Need to get stuff done finally. Was even thinking of maybe driving up to Idyllwild for one day to escape the heat and get a walk in the woods. We'll see.

Time for a little dinner and Gunsmoke! :D
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

went over to mom's even with the soil that was at her house and what I took over wasn't enough... so since mom needed some stuff from the store I stopped and got a bag of soil the intent being the small bag ya sure all they had was the 2 liter one that thing is hard to man handle  had to laugh when I got the soil first I had wanted that size but all they had was the small bag then at the same store different town all they had was the big one and all I really wanted was the smaller bag... and it was a lot dryer than the bags I got think they have been hanging out somewhere too long  but plants are planted hope that they look better in a few days... even after a couple of hours the lobidia looked better... so many of the plants even though I had been watering them were so root bound that they were very dry...
my dd and her family are home from their vacation... haven't seen them yet... other than sil stepped out on the porch and he was in the yard was asking if this was the gate Koda was getting off the hinges said yep and she can get the door open from inside to go out if the kitchen door isn't latched... they misnamed her should be Houdini :o my eldest dd and her husband and her youngest dd are almost here... texted from Idaho Falls little over an hour away saying they were stopping to eat... it's their 5th anniversary celebration... the actual day was earlier in the week...
my mom was listening to an ad and she said she didn't know how those tele medical visit would work told her I wasn't sure but thought would probably need a smart phone she said even with a smart phone you couldn't see the person so I got on the phone and called the youngest and put it on video I think she was really surprised other than it wasn't a good connection I guess kept stalling and being disjointed dd said something about pixels... not that I understand that but she seemed so so we got to see the baby he is now 11+ lbs and 23 1/4 inches... not overly happy as he had his vaccinations today... a lot of brownish hair his sister had red hair so was a fun thing to do
did some Swedish weave today... waiting to decided when I get the new yarn if I am going to take out some rows are work with it might do a mixture of both will decide when I see the yarn
you all have a good day...
