Sunday

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Sunday

Good afternoon to all. I can’t believe it’s the middle of the month already! Time flies! Fun or not apparently! I did manage to get out in the back yard and get it cleaned up. Still need to fine tune it but looking better. Pup and I took a bunch of bags to the project to add to the huge pile of leaves, grass and other yard waste. Then took a walk was a must and expected by said pup. On our way back to the car we were by the soccer field and I saw 3 young doe! So far I’ve seen a fox and the deer. Maybe a bear next time! We are surrounded by forest and state game lands. I have occasional seen deer in town. I imagine that shouldn’t be a huge surprise but it always amazes me. The elk up in Benezette wander the town and properties all the time! I think it’s the fact of seeing them in town is what tickles me. Before moving here we lived in the country and it was common so don’t think I thought about seeing wildlife in town!
I see the big church across from me held services today for the first time in months. Not a lot of cars but some. I wondered if they still did their online broadcast. I went over to the now Grange campground to visit with my friends since they are hosts. There was only one other RV there! And they were parked way the other side of the park. Talk about social distancing! Luckily they do have some other reservations coming in in the next few weeks. So that’s all my news for now. Nothing real exciting! But that’s probably a good thing! Have a great day and enjoy it.

Watched church this morning and haven't done a lot since. I was gonna frost my hair after lunch but when I tried to rinse off my lunch plate, there was no water coming from the faucet. Got on line to discover there is a water leak in the park so they shut off the water until they could find it and fix it. Good thing I discovered that before I put the bleach on my hair and then wouldn't have had a way to rinse it off! That wouldn't have turned out well!

Watching golf now and then Gunsmoke. Get some reading done as well.

Maya pulled the tail off her favorite mouse the other day. She was just playing with the mouse and now I see her playing with the tail. Oh well, got two toys out of one! ...now she is in my lap playing with her own tail! Kittens are so crazy! :o
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

Hi all,

Sunday sure does roll around fast.

I just finished my final week of daycare for the grands (for a while). DIL is taking some 'bonding' leave - which she had planned to do anyway before all of this started so I'll be fairly free until mid-August :) . Taking care of one kid isn't too bad, but both of them all day, every day is tough & exhausting. I love them like crazy but guess I'm getting old. Most days I was ready for bed as soon as I returned them home. I sure hope the schools open up - especially for the younger kids. There's no way parents can be expected to teach the kids while working at the same time.

Driving to KS on Tuesday to retrieve some final things left in my ex's basement since he's putting the house on the market. Going to be a quick trip - 3 days to get there, 2 days to load up what I want to retrieve & then will hit the road to return. Renting a minivan as mine is closing in on 200,000 miles - this way I don't have to worry about a breakdown along the way. Then when I return my son & ex both are flying out here. Going to be a busy few weeks!

I'm charting my drive so I don't have to stop in very populated or virus-prone areas & will stay to myself even when I do stop. Sadie is going along for the ride. Looking forward to some time on the road - just me, Sadie & music or audiobooks.

Well, I'd better get moving - have a ton to do - getting my place ready for company & packing for my driving adventure. :)
Stay safe out there,
Catherine

I got back from my camping trip this afternoon and I'm tired. The campground is big with sites in 2 areas and not close together. I was at least a half mile from the host site and it was a hot walk. There is a creek running by the host site so we put chairs in the creek to cool off and visit. A lot of the women went kayaking and tubing. That is an all day affair and I would have been burnt to a crisp if I tried that. I think we ended up with about 37 women. We never got a group picture because women kept coming and going. Hard to heard cats. lol

I am having electrical problems with my motorhome. Sometime Tuesday night the electric quit working. Wednesday morning it didn't have any 12 volt power. I wasn't sure I going or not. I drove it to Lafayette thinking maybe that would charge the batteries. When I got to Lafayette everything was fine and I could start the generator. I made the weekend without any problems. This morning when I unplugged the 12 volt power was working. I stopped for gas before I got to Baton Rouge and no 12 volt power. When I got home I plugged in to electric and the air conditioner and other things would work except the refrigerator. I never could get the refrigerator to work. I bet I can't get an appointment at the shop for over a month.
