Saturday Afternoon

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Saturday Afternoon

Postby BarbaraRose » Sat Jun 13, 2020 3:07 pm

The wind died overnight so it got a bit warm in my room by morning so the AC got turned on early. It sure doesn't feel like a cooler day outside like they promised.

I cut up all my cardboard boxes I had out in the porch (from all my Amazon packages  ) and took them to the dumpster. Am watching the first PGA golf tournament since the shut-down. Interesting to watch since there is no one on the course but the golfers and their caddies.

Lola is doing a little better but I am going to give her more subQ fluids today. Maya attacked her under the bed this morning (I had them separated but Maya snuck in when I opened the bedroom door). It was a nasty fight under there and I couldn't do anything to stop it. Lola finally came running out and I closed the door behind her to keep Maya in the bedroom.

I am trying a spray bottle on Maya when she bites. Will see how well that works.

Enjoy your day!
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

And now it's Saturday evening. Tis my Monday and I'll be heading to bed soon. We're having a busy weekend. Just possibly we're going to see the business that's more normal.

Last night I searched my rig for an obnoxious smell. I found a forgotten bag of potatoes. There were only two, but omg, the smell. A couple of my black work t-shirts were on top, thus muting the smell somewhat. But those t-shirts absorbed it. All I can say is Yuck! Needless to say I took them and a few other things and did a load of laundry after work.

Night all!

I actually not sure that there is a worse smell than rotten potato yuck!!!! glad you found it and it was able to wash out of the clothes..
people it is the 13 th of June!!!! I shouldn't be thinking heat would sound good.... the wind blew today so bad that again the niger seed's didn't get put out for all of the reason's it didn't happen yesterday it looks like there is still about a inch in one feeder  I looked at the inside temp and it is 66 outside it is 68.... the wind actually slowed down thought if I was smart would plant those plants but it was just too cold for me others might not have slowed down dd and gd went to the movies again tonight but was asked if I wanted to go said no ... just didn't sound like a fun thing so I stay home and freeze and accomplish nothing
really didn't do a lot today either filled the dishwasher and played on the phone reading junk on fb.. napped and we went to see the baby as dd says... they were visiting the other grandparents so the baby's dad could work on a car was suppose to stop by but it is after 9 almost dark so doubt that they will...
I should get off the internet earlier tonight so I can crochet will see if that happens or not
I hope that Maya settles down so you don't have to keep them apart Barbie

Yep! That smell of rotten potatoes is nasty! :o I think I would have just tossed out those tops! I can't imagine the smell would ever come out.

It is really windy here tonight but still warm so won't open the windows over night. I keep hearing things crashing outside. Probably palm fronds hitting the roof.

Church on-line tomorrow and then find something constructive to do.

I got a private message last night on FB from a gal who said she recognized my last name and asked if I grew up on Lake Minnetonka and if I was related to Don. I told her he was my dad. We have been chatting back and forth. Turns out her parents live just 4 houses down from my dad's old house. I know them well and I used to babysit for them when she was a baby. She saw a post I wrote on my friend, Peggy's page the other day, who I have known for about 25 years and met on-line when she was looking to adopt a ferret and I was helping someone find a home for their ferrets. We met and became instant friends, almost like sisters. Peggy move to the northern suburbs of Minneapolis and has a horse. She keeps her horse at this gal's horse farm! Small world!

Good night! :D
