Chilly Friday

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Chilly Friday

Postby Colliemom » Fri Jun 12, 2020 7:45 am

Good Morning everyone. Chilly 40 degrees out there this morning. Had to believe that 2 days ago we broke a record of 91 degrees. Then what was left of Cristobal came through and pulled colder air in behind. Either we are 10-15 degrees above normal or 10-15 below. Been a yo yo few weeks. And next week looks to be the same thing again. But no complaints here as I like the cooler weather and so do the pups. So O’Sharon, you will be beading down pretty soon too. Won’t need that AC.

BJ, glad you had a nice dentist experience a d are happy with the results so far. Shelia, sorry about your mom’s sister. Beth, hope business picks up for you. Judy, the kikacs are in full bloom on Mackinac Island right now.

Nothing exciting around here today. Will go to town for a couple things and then come home and work in a craft project. Last bit of painting on my deck is on hold till tomorrow because of weather conditions. But I got some little projects involving some of my landscaping that I want to work in. These are the fun decorating parts.

I should be uncovering my trailer and getting it ready in case I want to take off, but haven’t been un the mood and this next week I have appts., new washer delivery etc., coming up. I want to get a new battery and possibly a new power cord. Need to see my local RV lace about dewinterizing and a few other things.

But right now I need to get my act together and mosey up to town. Have a nice day everyone.

Our swim pool opens today!!! My daughter is out there right now, I will be going out soon.
The jacaranda trees were spectacular this year. Buy boy, do they leave a mess on the sidewalk.
That’s all my exciting news. Lyn

I am catching up on my sleep! Went to bed at 11:30, woke up at 7:30 and fell back to sleep until 11:30! It has been a long stressful week! Just got my new schedule this morning and I have the whole weekend off! Yay!

The zoo out here is opening on Monday but I got an email the other day that those of us who gave financial support during COVID, are invited to come on Friday (today) to visit early. I thought about it but wasn't sure if I was gonna have to work all weekend and needed today to get caught up on things here, and also it is supposed to be very hot yet today before the cool down, so I opted not to go. I want to get there to see their new Australia exhibit which was to open the week they got shut down.

Lola is doing a bit better today but I am keeping the two kitties apart now.

I need to get to the bank today to transfer my unemployment money to my savings account. I tried doing it on-line but for some reason it wouldn't allow all the digits of my account number in the space they wanted me to put it.

Have a good day! :D

My son's cat has finally decided that I might not be a dangerous person. Until today, she has been following me around, but at a distance, keeping an eye on me. I go into the basement, she goes down the stairs and watches from halfway down. I go into the laundry room, she goes to the doorway of the laundry room and sits. When she sees me looking at her, she takes off. But today, I was sitting on the couch and she jumped up onto the folded throw and fell asleep, with her head facing the other way. She even let me pet her!! I think she is just not feeling well because she seems to have a runny nose, so maybe she just got too tired to keep following me.

Mostly, I have been lazy today. I put my two portable hard drives back into the safety deposit box now that I had backed them both up. Plus, I got my new permanent cap put on, except gums still really hurt. This tooth had an old cap, but with gum shrinkage and long-term problems with that tooth because it had had a cavity filled under the gum line 35 years ago, the tooth now fits up much higher and will not be as likely to get food caught around it. Hopefully, my gums will recover and less painful soon. Also, made some sugar cookies and had one of the girls help me frost them.

I am taking my grandkids to the bookstore tomorrow morning, then heading off to the Turnpike camping area for the night. Sunday morning, I will run some errands in Michigan and be settled for four days into a campground.

stopped at a nursery in Wilson (a town at the base of Teton Pass on the way to Jackson) had some different plants as well as some of the ones I wanted (Fushia) way more expensive but also I think better cared for .. so bought a few...
Koda is doing well can take off the cone... put it back on if she seems to irritate the surgery site and come back in a couple of months... my dd is a pushover for her niece KK told her that she wanted her to come with us so that in case there was problems she would be there like grandma can't take care of it??? so dd took some time off from work to go with us... oh well I didn't have to be the driver... was able to crochet although I still have a row to do.. then they went to the movies tonight guess only ones in the theater
really warm day but quite windy enough so I didn't fill the Niger bird seed feeders... one it would just blow out and the bag hadn't been open yet so filling the jug I fill with the seed would have been harder could have brought it into the house but choose not to...
so that was my day probably tomorrow will work on planting containers need to do some work in the kitchen at the house...
you have a great day

Long day of nothing today! I think I am still recouping from last week at work. Napped off and on all day. Hopefully, will get my energy back tomorrow.

The wind has picked up quite a bit again and it is supposed to be in the upper 60's tonight so might open up the windows for that.

Lola seems to be perking up from the subQ's. Need to pay more attention to her hydration. She had diarrhea one day last week but has been fine since then. Still keeping the cats apart since Maya won't leave her alone.

Just watched a few episodes of Gunsmoke tonight. They are old ones with Dennis Weaver as his deputy. Now off to bed.
