Saturday

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Saturday

Good morning. So far a sunny morning so maybe I’ll be able to get out in the yard today and get some more done out there. Temps supposed to be in the 80’s! I finally got my hair cut and colored so I’m human again! Interesting new routine, wash hair before going and no blow drying! So came home and wet my hair again and did it myself! Feels so much better. Then in the evening I headed to my son’s house so we could go to the high school for grandson’s graduation. We were allowed out of our car for photos and then just drove away! So glad that they were able to at least do that for the kids. Not normal but definitely memorable! So we get a year’s break and then 2 more grands graduate!
Judy, I remember seeing the RV sites when son and I drove his rig back to PA. Thought then that it was a good thing. Martha, hope you don’t get the full force of this storm. It sounds like a far reaching storm. Keep us posted. Sue, I wish I had your ambition!
Coffee is done so suppose I should go get dressed and get this day started! Have a good day and stay safe.

Good Afternoon Sharon, Another humid day so an indoor day, tomorrow looks better. Nothing on tv and I have read so much my eyeballs are laying on my cheeks. Made black bean salad for happy hour. Really want a pizza but will resist and have salmon cakes. Was so desperate for something to do I vacuumed with the heavy vacuum instead of the roomba. Maybe I will walk around the parking lot and flirt with the old guy using a walker. It’s ok if you want to tell me to shut up. Be safe

Last night went well in the service area RV park, except when I went to take my usual nice, hot shower around midnight. Oops. No hot water, but by this time I and my hair was thoroughly soaped up, so I ended up rinsing off with almost cold water. Realized that I had had the propane tank filled and did not verify that the kid turned the tank back on again, and since I did not do any cooking, had no idea there was no hot water.

And then as I left this morning, I had another adventure. Horrible noise came from back of my motorhome, so stopped and got out to look. Luckily, still in big truckers lot. Noticed that the mudflap on the driver's side rear was pushed up on top of the tire. Backed up a couple of feet and then bent it back down again. However, it started making the horrible noise and popped up again. Was afraid it was going to ruin my tire, so circled back and found a parking spot next to another RVer, who helped bent it back again, but this time, he had more strength than I had.

So, was just pulling out of parking lot and felt thump, thump, thump again. So pulled over and looked again and noticed a big thick slab of asphalt stuck on the inner dually!! Apparently that is why the mud flat got in the wrong place. However, by then I was almost onto the freeway. My tire pressure minder came in handy checking tire pressure, which was fine. I had worried I had blown a tire somehow and the stuff on it was part of the tire.

Option was to back up the entrance ramp, but not a good option because of so many big trucks and cars racing by. Figured I would have to call CoachNet, but noticed a tow truck a few hundred feet ahead of me, so pulled up behind him and asked for help getting the chunk of gunk off. He confirmed it was there and crawled under my rig, using one of my knives to get it free. Chunk was 2" thick and about 4" square. Whew!! Thanked him and gave him a $20 bill. Probably should have given him more.

I am at Maumee for five days, so I need to do two big things--get my tires checked and pressure evened up on all of them, and get a new windshield. I have been delaying the windshield, but I think they will come here, or I can go to wherever, but really need to get it replaced. Crack from four years ago is slowly getting longer. Will try to go out Monday for these things.

OK, got propane turned on and hot water working, so am planning on a less eventful evening!! RVing certainly is an adventure, isn't it??

Judy, if it isn't one thing it's 10 others. Glad you got help with your problem.

I'm sitting here with a fan blowing on me because I'm so hot. Moved vehicles to Maurice and friend moved the tractor, 4-wheeler and welding machine up on the carport. I had already moved the golf cart up and just have to move the mower. Picked up some of the junk on the old carport and put it in the house. It still looks like the storm is going more to the East so we shouldn't get a tidal surge. I should have gone and checked the electricity after it was installed in Maurice. I plugged the surge protector into the 30 amp and got a open ground code. I used a 50 to 30 adapter and checked that and it was ok. Will have to call the electrician to see about the open ground.

No problems here. What's happening?

Today was my Monday. And I did laundry. I got Ty out shortly before the rains came, and even briefer during a lull. I'm sure he'll need to pee again so hopefully things will stop again. We're having some pretty strong, intermittent thunderstorms and for awhile high winds, too.

Aww, Judy, I'm never a fan of cold showers. I'm glad it was only a matter of turning the gas on, though.

Another fairly quiet day. My new alarm clock worked great this morning so I got to work on time, actually early, so I stopped and picked up donuts for all of us.

Manager said I could leave early but one of the stylists wanted to leave early because she had relatives in town just for the day and wanted to see them, so I agreed to stay and close so she could leave early to visit with her family. Long day, 9 hours, but since a lot of it was just sitting around, it wasn't too bad. My feet are sore tho.

It was super windy again today and the streets and yards here are full of palm fronds everywhere! Glad I got my one tree cleaned up or I would have had a ton more of those in my yard.

Got my steam mop from Amazon today. I figured with the cat messes on the floor, I needed something that would sanitize the floors better than a mop can do. I also can't handle too many chemicals so this will reduce dealing with those.

Just watching some old Bee Gees concerts on PBS tonight. I have tomorrow off. Will be giving my neighbor a haircut in the morning and then get some laundry done. I should do some wood burning on my next gourd project since I have to do that outside and it should still be fairly "cool" tomorrow (90's) with the wind.

Hoping I can open the windows again tonight. Still very windy so should feel good having that blowing thru my bedroom again. Those kind of nights will be few and far between now until fall.

Martha, I hope you don't have too much to deal with with that storm coming. Sounds like Florida got hit earlier today with bad storms and tornadoes near Orlando.
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

yesterday when I got plants I got one specifically for this small pot it's only going to allow one plant thought about pansy's but didn't like the ones that they had didn't see any primroses which was another thought... but found this one that I thought would look good in it only thing is it doesn't fit... would have to cut off a lot of root and am not sure that will be good for the plant ... although I may think about it ... then I pondered which pot to use on the porch by time I decided I decided to go up and crochet up at the house as they are getting ready to go on trip so did my two rows up there folded a load of clothes after supper... then came down while the rain had stopped for a bit... just now turned on the heat .... girls went to Rexburg there was a middlin to large problem as I understand it they were going to take the (not sure of the term) but it holds then like a carrier for luggage from one of the cars to the one that they are taking dd's new to her car.. but either couldn't find the key to release it or it was stuck and couldn't get it to work a call to a place like o'Reilly had one so they had to make that trip back to Rexburg again to get it then they will have to put the carrier on top and load up there luggage hopefully they will get out in good time tomorrow as they want to make it to some place in southern Colorado by tomorrow night...
finally got the filters rinsed out for my Shark not done that at all and if remember the instructions suppose to be done fairly often... not sure how long I have had it then suppose to let them dry for a couple of days just put them in the basement as damp as it is doubt they will dry anytime soon...
glad you haven't been overwhelmed Barbi Hopefully your kitten will outgrow her kittenish ways and leave Lola alone... she might get put in her place
you all have a good day
