Afternoon everyone. Just thought I would check in and say hi. I made a post yesterday morning to start coffee but somehow it disappeared. I’ve been reading but haven’t been posting.
Having a second rainy day here, so things are really wet. I think if I sat here I could watch the grass grow, literally
The pups aren’t happy because they don’t want to go out. They will if I put them on leasha leash and take them for a potty walk up the road even if it’s raining though
We are under a flood watch for the day as the rivers are beginning to rise and the chances for ponding on the roads and stuff. The riverS won’t any issueS here for anybody though, because they run through the woods and stuff like that. Sothey don’t affect anything Per say. But I am sure they are going to be some areas in other counties where the rivers are passing through communities where they might have some issues.
Been busy working outside here on the nice days. Got a bunch of projects to do, one of which involves painting. But that won’t happen right away because I need a span of a few sunny days before I can do that and after all the rain that we have had since yesterday, it’s going to take awhile for my deck and rails to dry completely. I can however do some power washing and touch up my covered porch. Decided this is going to be the Summer to redo a little of my landscaping, so I have a couple of projects going there. Nothing big though.
Haven’t even uncovered my trailer or anything and probably won’t for a while. I did cancel one of my reservations and also one overnight stay that was tied into that, because a cruise that I had planned to take in July has been canceled. I may have to cancel or move my weeks reservation that leads up to the July 4 weekend too. . The park has to install a new well, and that project has been significantly delayed, so they are not taking any New reservations until July 17. I am waiting to see what they are going to do with those of us who already have reservations made between June 22 and July 17. I am considering canceling them anyway, because I don’t know if I want to get into the crowd this year, with the Covid and all the other stuff going on. But if they can’t get the new well system done by then and they do decide to let us come and camp even if we don’t have the facilities, that could change some peoples minds, especially if they have children.
So that’s about all that’s going on around here right now. We have two more weeks of stay at home which a lot of people at Alban anyway So that’s about all that’s going on around here right now. We have two more weeks of Stay at Home, Which some people aren’t paying attention to anyway. Businesses are starting to reopen slow but sure but with restrictions of course. My church will be starting public Masses again on Wednesday, but we are going to have to make a lot of accommodations in order to fit people in for Masses on tge weekends especially, due to the fact that we can only use 25% of our capacity. We have a very large parish and in the summer It can swell, due to tourists, visitors andcthose who own second homes in the area. Unfortunately we are not going to be able to accommodate everybody. We can however, for now, spread out and attend mass during the week as well in place of Sunday. It will take a while and some tweaks to get things in order. But of course not everybody will be coming back because some people might not feel comfortable with it, and can stay home and watch Mass on TV on Sunday.
I guess I had better get down to the basement and get busy on a project that I’m doing that eventually going to wind up outside as part of my landscaping. But it won’t get out there if I don’t get with it
