Sunshine Wednesday

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Sunshine Wednesday

Morning all. Chilly morning here. Only about 25° right now, but heading to low 60’s by afternoon. Going back to are more normal temperatures now and rain supposedly tomorrow which we could use.

Nothing much new to report here mostly just puttering around waiting for the weather to cooperate So I can get outside and start working in the yard again. Picked up 10 bags of stone the other day and want to get that laid out so I will probably start doing that today. Once I get started it won’t take long. They are all stacked in the back of my truck so I will just drive my truck over to where I want to put them and take them out one bag at a time. I have a feeling I will probably have to get more.

Had to laugh at the tales of the dishwashing. I do sometimes leave mine for the next day depending upon how many are used. I have a dishwasher but I never use it as it takes almost a whole week to load up with enough dishes to bother running it out. Plus except for just a few years before we moved up here we never had a dishwasher in our house downstate, then we got a portable one, but we didn’t bring that one with us when we moved and I am so used to washing dishes by hand that I just never care about using the dishwasher. When my dad was living I would occasionally use the dishwasher at my previous house especially when I wanted to wash some glasses or stuff that we eused once in a blue moon and get dusty in the cupboard. But since moving over here I have gotten rid of all of that stuff except for what I just use.

Barbie congratulations on the new addition to the family. How is Lola taking having a kitten around? Tina, good luck selling your rig.

Two events that I had made camping reservations for have been cancelled for the summer, so I cancelled one reservation and I’m hanging onto the other one for now. Goi g to wait and see how things progress down the line as far as what is opening and what we have to do etc. It looks like my church will be reopening on the 29th but I am awaiting a definite word. Looks like the hair salons are also going to be opening on 29th too, but with big restrictions. More information will come out down the line I know. None of this is official from the governors office but apparently there must be some notifications going out regarding it or they wouldn’t be talking about it.

Guess I will go get cleaned up and get my day moving. Have a nice dsy everyone. Stay safe.

Kind of a cloudy damp morning here. I like it tho as I planted my tree yesterday and am glad it is not scorching hot. Getting stuff together to go camping for the weekend with one of my RV groups. Should be fun to just get out of the house other than groceries. Only going about 50 miles to the campground and weather will be cool with occasional showers but that should be just fine with me.

A little housecleaning in order here this morning. I hate coming home to a messy house so will vacuum, dust, clean bathrooms and steam mop the floors that should do it. Also need to look at some recipes to see what I will take for the potluck. Then a run to the store tomorrow for whatever I think I will make.

Hope everyone is staying safe and healthy.

Good Morning from o’cast S.D. I am still alive and kicking! Very, very mad at the HOA for not opening our swim pool.
Had to visit a doc this week. Large swollen area in abdomen. Either gall bladder or hernia. Tests to follow.
I love red bud tree. We have several around the neighborhood. Barbie, your kitten is precious!
Back to the couch to read. Lyn

It's warm, windy and overcast today. I managed to get the yard mowed and it only sprinkled on me once. It sure looked like it was going to rain but hasn't yet. The radar just shows scattered showers. I would like to go mow in Maurice but don't know that I'm that ambitious.

Barbie, I got my mother's clutter and packrat genes. lol My ex-DIL keeps sending me boxes of stuff that I have no use for. I don't know where she gets all this stuff. The last box had a huge drink holder from Travel Centers of America. It probably holds a quart. If I drank that much going down the road all I would be doing is stopping to go to the bathroom. She has something for bags. There are 4 insulated bags for frozen food. She is from Turkey so there are 16 bars of Turkish soap and some cologne. I have just about stopped wearing cologne or perfume because so many people complain if they smell perfume. She thinks Turkish robes are wonderful and has probably sent me 4 in the last couple of years. I have told her I don't wear robes and I would smother in a heavy robe in South Louisiana. I have given three of them away and bought a zipper to make one more of a house coat.

Lyn, I would be aggravated about the swimming pool too. It looks like a swimming pool with all the chemicals would be one of the safer places to be.

It's been 8 weeks since my last hair cut and my hair is aggravating me. When I go out in this wind I look like a wild woman. Hard to believe the shutdown has been going on that long. The governor is suppose to be on TV in an hour. Hope I don't forget. Would like to know what they are going to open up, not that I'm going anywhere.

It was chilly again this morning, but I think we hit 60 today after maybe getting no higher than 40 yesterday. Yay. There's talk this coming Monday we'll hit 80. Crazy weather.

Lyn it's too bad that can't simply put distancing rules in place. I understand the public and motel pools that closed, but yours is private and you'd think they could make it work.

It's hard to get enough hand sanitizer to sell for the store. But yesterday a sales rep for Full Throttle Saloon in Sturgis (THE famous Sturgis bar) came through. They have a refinery in Tennessee and have been making hand sanitizer. I love that they are bottling it in bottles that were made for their liquor. I bought a case for the store and intend to buy a bottle to replace the one in my car.

I'm trying to stay up a bit... The 5:30 alarms have become the norm, but I don't need to do that for the next 4 days, so I'm prying my eyes open right now lol. Ty is sleeping. He's disliked these early morns as much as me. Actually I think he dislikes them most because they are followed by my "abandoning" him to go to work.

It's supposed to rain most of tomorrow. If it's not too bad I want to drive through Custer SO and see the baby buffalo and hopefully the baby donkeys, too. Two more donkey births happened over this past weekend so I believe there are 3 young ones.

Have a great day/night, etc.

is it possible that the reason not to open pools is two fold people won't be wearing a mask and keeping it down to the recommended 10 people. Especially the pools in apartment building type places..if you pay to get in they can control the amount of people better I would think... just a thought
it was just another cloudy chilly windy day in this part of Idaho... did read where Yellowstone and GTNP is going to open up a couple of entrances...one I totally don't understand why they kept it closed... if everything is closed would think that would keep down the foot traffic and it's a beautiful drive... the other road through GTNP is a main road and they wouldn't be able to close it ... still the only gates into Yellowstone is the South (from Jackson) or from Cody not sure what that gate is called
I went through a couple of these little bins or baskets just small things got rid of a bunch of out of date vitamins and stuff of that nature put some stuff in a bin that one day I will go through and determine what it all is... tool like stuff and organize it somewhat or get rid of some of it... when my husband passed away he had at least 3 tool boxes I no longer pack those as I've said to people wondering if I have something I couldn't see packing stuff I don't know what it is for and probably wouldn't use... will keep on hand some of the basics that I know what it is and how to use it... sorta.... I am not a mechanic nor mechanically inclined
however the dishes did get washed  I eat most of my meals at my dd's so mostly it's hot chocolate mugs, spoons knives for that occasional sandwich ect and the pans to heat up the milk in
so that was my day now over to pets to check out Barbie's new one

We finally got our pools opened. There are things to consider besides the pool itself. There is the gate that people touch to go in and out, the chairs that people sit or lay on, the hand rails in the pool, etc. Now with most of the snowbirds gone, and with 5 usable pools here, there are not a lot of people swimming in them right now (even after all the complaining here!). If we do use the pools we need to bring sanitizing wipes for the places we are touching before we leave. And to keep apart from each other in the pool.

I ordered some books on Amazon over the past couple weeks so have been reading those, altho it is hard to read when I have a kitten in my face demanding attention!

Very windy again tonight so I have my windows open which feels so good! Nice cool dry air blowing thru! :D Will be warming up again by the weekend tho.

Beth, I was imagining you having that sanitizer in your car..."but officer, it isn't really liquor, it is hand sanitizer!"
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)
