Snow showery Friday

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Snow showery Friday

Yep, you read that title right. We are having some snow showers. Some areas north have had less than an inch. It’s cloudy here with the sun peaking through between the clouds. Going to be one of those days. Not unusual though.

The Governor extended our Stay at Home order till May 28th, but gave the green light to Manufacturing and Industrial businesses to go back to work on tbe 11th. That includes the Automakers. Real Estate and Construction started up yesterday. Landscaping and other outdoor related businesses started last week. We have a 6 phase set of guidelines and we are in Phase 3 right now. Phase 3 is flattening the curve, which is happening. If things continue as thry are and everybody does their part, we will get into Phase 4 sooner rather than later. Slow and steady is tge word.

Shelia, the Assist steps as they call them, are mounted under the doors to the truck. They make getting in the truck cab easier. They used to be called running boards. There are a number of after market steps that can be put iNto a trucks bumper hitch to help getting in the truck
Bed and other options out there. I made a wood box covered with an old non skid rug turned upside down for my dogs to jump on, getting in and out of my truck and use that when I want to reach into my truck from the side for something. It’s about 8 inches high, works great for me.

Going to get my day started here. HeadiNg to town after I hit the shower and get dressed. Don’t think I want to go in my jammies  Although there are people who do. . Have a nice day, stsy safe and healthy.

Good morning Sue,
No snow but temperatures to drop to 37°tonight. Will cover plants on the balcony this evening. My family will be scrambling to protect their in ground tomato plants. It is early for planting but they have had a lot of time on their hands. FedEx says my truffles are out for delivery, so a good day. Be safe.

We may have had flurries overnight, but I slept through them if we did. But predictions are for possibility of snow this coming Monday and Tuesday when our highs will only be in the 30's! Brrrr. Spring disappeared. It'll be a week from tomorrow before we are seeing highs in the 60's again.

Time to gather my laundry and go check on the store.

Good morning! Well, Beth, you did warn me the other day and the cold wet weather arrived. Freeze warning tonight and possible snow showers. No accumulation but it is May after all! And my yard needs mowed again. Crazy! Supposed to get warmer by this time next week. So an inside day again for the pup and I. I’m getting tired of my own company so may venture out to the store today. I’ve been making a list and as the days go by it’s gotten longer! The state has loosened some of the restrictions on our county but since I don’t work it won’t make much change for me. But people are getting called back to work so that’s a good thing. Still no hair salons or dog groomers so just waiting for both! Pup and I both need haircuts! I just got a call from a friend and she and her dear husband are coming up this afternoon to work on a project for me so guess that’s what I’m doing this afternoon! I need to get busy and prep the area he’ll be working so best get to it!
Have a safe and good day today.

Good Morning, it is cool and cloudy here with on and off rain. A dreary day so I am tackling mask making! Oh boy, it's been a long time since I have sewn anything. I even ,give my DH the dog toys to repair by hand. and have a seamstress hem our pants. So it has taken me an hour to thread the bobbin and get it right. I haven't used this machine much but it is a SInger Featherweight and it is upstairs. The machine I've had since right out of high school is a Singer Portable that weighs at least 50 pounds and is in the basement! My next door neighbor when I was small tuned her garage into a sewing shop and sold material and did sewing for people. Since I was a frequent visitor, she gave me sewing lessons. I made almost all by clothes for myself and several friend's children for many years. Now I'm wondering if I can sew a straight seam. Since I believe we will be wearing masks for the foreseeable future, I thought I'd best get motivated. I think stores will probably start selling clothes with matching masks soon.
Not much happening here, I haven't been out except to do a few pick up orders. I like to pay ahead and have them put it in the back of my van so no contact. Most people I know are wearing mask when they go outside. Thank goodness.

Here is my pretty little machine.

I bet my brother is having snow in Thunder Bay. He was sitting on his porch in short sleeves a few days ago. It is really windy here. The hummingbirds are having a wild ride. They have been predicting storms here for several days and they are in North Louisiana now. The storms can keep going East instead of South.

I walked by a wasp nest this morning and got stung. It seems like I am always buying wasp spray but do you think I can find any when I need it. I finally found 2 cans that had just a little spray left.

I needed to go get cat food for the outside cats so made myself go yesterday. Since I finally had a trash can I went through some of the camping stuff in the old house and threw some away. The shelf piece that was missing has been shipped. When I get the shelf put together maybe I can get it more organized. I'll be glad when they open up the donation places. There are some things in there had need to go.

Sugar is feeling better. She is eating a little better but would like to eat cat food instead of her food. I usually divide one of the medium size cans of cat food between the house cats every morning. Sugar likes to clean up the bowls when they are through.

Don't know what I'll do today. Probably another big nothing. My camping group is posting picture of the campout. Sorry to miss it but didn't want to camp with a sick dog. Or be camping when the storms come through.

Martha does he like it cause it's cat food or because it's wet food? might try wet food for him for a bit
I saw some masks on the Quartzsite page that where really different... some dog some cat some not sure now what but at least they were different...
did get the dishes done and some things on the table put away and some gone through and in on stack on the table know where they need to go but it's another day's project. decided I needed to go up to the house just to say hi and get a bowl of soup but dd was fixing supper... she has some of those meals delivered Hello fresh perhaps??? so had chicken and roasted potatoes and broccoli was tasty. only problem seemed to be timing so the potatoes where cool as well as the broccoli because of getting the chicken done... it seems strange as normally she doesn't do a lot of cooking it's a see food house hold
need to turn up the heat bit chilly in here going to go get propane tomorrow will be glad so I can use the buddy just a much better heat and not as loud... just prefer it. Going to go see my grandson's new house and see if I can help if not then to get propane and make a wal mart stop... gave last of the bird seed to the birds today and now they are out!!! think the red winged black birds eat lots I was surprised even saw them at the finch feeder (Niger seed)
had winds again today said something about it on FB my sister replies back you are in Idaho what do you expect.... it's a running joke about the winds never stop in ID I replied back that yes we have wind all the time then we have winds on steroids and these winds were on steroids. :o
you all have a good day
