Late Monday MC

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Late Monday MC

Good afternoon gals! Everyone must be hunkered down with a good book or taking a nap! :D

I having been hanging out in my bedroom mostly the past few days. Too hot to be out on the porch.

I have been expecting a package from Amazon and got a message yesterday that it was delivered to my mailbox at 3:15. I checked but no package and no key for the package box. So today I left a note about it on my mailbox door for the mailman. I got back to the house and started cleaning up some stuff on my deck and I discovered a box underneath something on an area of the deck I never use. It was the package from yesterday. I think they get lazy and put stuff under the railing on the other side of the deck instead of coming up the steps. It is a little confusing because I only use the slider to the porch to go in and out of my house which is at the top of the steps. The main door is on the other end of the deck but I never use that and have put a sign saying to use the porch door. I also put things over there to discourage anyone from going to that door. So now I think I need to block off the lower part of the railing over there to keep them from putting packages there. I have thought of putting up some lattice but I don't have anything to cut it with.
So anyways, I was glad to have found it and went back and removed the note on the mailbox. My excitement for the day!

It is very hot out today. I think it is supposed to get to 105 or so today and the next several days. Not used to that heat yet! Especially since it went right from the mid 70's straight to low 100's almost overnight!

Need to find some energy and motivation today. Maybe that is hiding under something on the deck too!

Have a good day! :D

Pretty much nothing going on here. I'm glad we don't have 100 degree weather yet. It has been nice for the last few days. Just tired of all the wind. I went fishing yesterday and they were hardly biting. I don't know how the fish all get together and decide whether to bite or not bite. lol I don't know if I will make it to the pond this afternoon or not.

I think I saw a UFO last night. lol About 2:00 there was a cat fight on the porch so I got up to see what was going on. There was a line of lights in the sky. They were too high to be ground lights and it wasn't a plane because it wasn't moving. I watched it for a little while and it never moved so I went back to bed. I'll try to remember to look tonight. Maybe it was some stars.

My sister is talking about coming to see me because she is tired of staying home. Oh joy. I don't really want company. If she comes I'll have to go to the store to get something to cook and I'm tired of cooking.

Sugar is still on her eating kick. Yesterday she found a dead bird in the yard and ate most of it before I could get it away from her. There are a lot of wood bees flying around the porches and she eats them if she can catch one. It's not going to be good if she grabs a honey bee by mistake and it stings her. She is nocturnal like the cats. As soon as it gets dark she want to lay outside. I ordered a solar flood light so I could see what she is doing. I have some motion activated solar lights but they don't stay on long enough.

Just had a weird experience that left me a bit uneasy. Am staying for just one night at a Georgia state park that is mostly empty because it is a Monday. I am on a loop with maybe 7 campsites facing a small inner circle, with one older man in a tiny trailer with a tent across from me. (He is maybe 200' away.) No one else here and no campsites in the middle of this circle, though there are two camp hosts directly behind me.

Anyway, I got here about 3:30 pm and pretty soon I notice this blue Subaru of some sort making trips around this circle. Lady driving kept stopping and starring at guy in the trailer who was coming in and out tending a campfire. She would stop near his area and stare, and then drive around to where I was and stop and stare at him again. Two-three minutes each time she would stop and stare and then move on. Few minutes, and she would be back again and repeat this. She made maybe 10-12 trips around the circle, stopping at least 2-3 times each trip around. Finally, I got my binoculars out and wrote down her license plate, color of car and name of car, which was a Subaru. I am positive of the license number, but did not think to take a picture or look at what state it was from.

I called the night ranger, and she came over to get info from us both. Man said he noticed her but did not know who she was. It looked certainly like stalking to me, and made me think maybe it was an ex- of some sort. I had my black mesh blinds down and my front window covered by my mesh screen also, so it probably looked like no one was home here. Anyway, ranger called police and they came by and asked me to describe what I saw. I told them it looked like a middle-aged white woman with medium-brown straight hair.

She has not been back again, but it was definitely weird. Either she is nuts and thinks she knows him, or he is lying about not knowing who she is. Police will continue patrolling all night, but I am glad hosts are so close behind me.

Martha, I don't think those were UFOs, those were probably the SpaceX Satellites. There are about 60 in a row in a low earth orbit. https://wgntv.com/chicago-news/see-a-string-of-lights-in-the-sky-it-was-probably-spacexs-starlink-satellites/

They went over my house about 2 weeks ago. Not as bright as the International Space Station but kind of cool to see. Not sure that's what you saw because you said they weren't moving. When they went over my house here in Oregon, they were definitely moving.

Laura, the picture you posted looked kind of like what I saw but what I saw wasn't that long. Maybe part of it was hidden by clouds.

called my girl friend to see if she would give me an excuse to procrastinate and she was busy talking to her
daughter in law (her husband just passed away less than a month ago) so get that she needed to visit with her so called my mom and visited with her ... I think my day would have been more productive if I had just pulled out something to do instead of vegetating on the phone and telling myself to do something... didn't necessarily feel well last night so not sure that I slept overly well although must have cause I slept... did get one wall washed down and one wash tub gone through found a zip lock back with something in it not sure what in that I am not sure it's purpose... almost think it's one of those cooling cloths... but not sure... hate that as I evidently don't use it but .... found some more miracle cloths need to find a spot for them as well and two suet blocks that I do know what to do with
my dd texted me asking if I needed anything from the store well yes if I can think of what it would be so asked how long I had to think a couple of hours then she decided to wait till tomorrow.. and I need to add to list ought to do that while thinking of it I guess before it gets much later.
think I am going to make some hot chocolate tonight sounds yummy.... and need to turn the heater on had it on all day realize that it was overly hot so off it went now it's 65 inside time to come back on I guess...
perhaps tomorrow I will get behind the table and in front of the window done ... think I need to do that first then sit down and do sit down stuff seems like once my butt hits the couch it's hard to pry it off...
you all have a good day

Just getting ready for bed. Didn't get a lot done today. Nothing new there! Did trim my fingernails but didn't get to trimming Lola's claws. She needs to be combed again too since she is getting some small matts again.

Did make a tuna hot dish today. That was good and easy to make. I just mix a can of cream of mushroom soup, a little milk, some peas, a can of tuna and mix in broken up potato chips. Stir it all up and cover with more crushed chips. Bake it at 350* for half an hour. It is an old recipe from my mom or grandma, not sure which, but is good. Very salty tho so not good for those who need to avoid salt.

Spent too much time on the internet and watching the news today and got all upset and stressed out. May have to take a break from it all tomorrow. It all just gets so frustrating and overwhelming sometimes! Maybe work on my gourd stuff tomorrow instead.
