Tuesday, April 7th

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Tuesday, April 7th

A good Tuesday morning to you all. Sitting here telling myself it’s time to get out of this chair, get my shower and then get this day moving. Been sitting around too much, but a lot of it has been for lack of sleep. My left knee slipped out of place on Sunday night, so didn’t sleep that great. Had to take an Acetaminophen pill for pain and that let me sleep, but was dragging all day yesterday. Fortunately, had a Chiropractor appt., so got that taken care of. And despite being tired and sore from Chiropractor, I did give inside of my truck a good cleaning and took a short walk with the dogs. Need to keep moving around so the body stays limber, which is why I want out of the Chair today and it does restore my energy level. Looking like a wet week Coming up, so time to wrap up some of these projects I have waiting to get done.

Stooped at our Meijer store to pick up a few things yesterday and see the store is stsrting to look more normal again. Shelves stocked with a few places a kittle low, but not out, other than flour and sanitizing wipes. Frozen veggies are another disappearing item yet. All kinds of paper towels and some toilet paper. Not many people in the store. So I guess everybody's gotten their stuff, figured they will inly shop for what they need now and that’s all. The one thiNg I can’t get though, is Tomato soup. Will check another store tomorrow when I go to Chiropractor again. Was very quiet in town too as people are obeying the Stay at Home order.

Judy, glad you were able to get the toilet fixed. Beth, wish I could send me two fur kids out to you for a bath. Barbie, interesting that there are so many small earthquakes going on lately. But I have heard that it happens like that.

This day is moving along and I’m still sitting here. Enough. Off to the shower. Have a nice day everyone and stay safe.

Good morning Sue and all who follow. The sun is shining here in CT and the news coming out of NY City is a little less daunting. Martha, I have to tell you that I am cooking the pound of Camellia green baby lima beans that I bought with you several years ago. Talk about stocking up. I bought so many beans and rice that day and I still have some. Another day at home working in my garden. Yesterday I put out my “free plants” sign and gave away oregano and thyme herbs and two big clumps of day lillies. Enjoy today and wash your hands just like Mama always said. Peggy

Good Morning, along with everyone else I am just hanging out. I baked bread pudding which went right to my hips. The rest will go in the freezer for a desperate, depressed and dark day. I miss walking and living in the house with stairs, a yard on a country road. I am on the second floor in this apartment building and am using the stairs when going for mail and emptying trash. Am not comfortable using a confined space like the elevator. Two local women started a small garden center and are also delivering fresh produce. My produce order comes next week and a delivery from Safeway on Thursday. Keeping in touch by email and phone with family and of course friend Edith. Doing genealogy with Ancestry which has been interesting. I did the DNA test so have relatives in England and Australia so far. My children were happy to know for a fact that I am their biological mother. Be safe

I am off to get my bike off my rack and check the tires to ride to the post office which is only a mile away. I have hardly ridden it in the last two years because my platelets were so low I was afraid of bleeding too much if I fell, but I think they are a little better, though still not terrific.

Also, after I stopped my treatment with Venetoclax pills in mid-January, I have gained 6 pounds of the weight I had lost in the past year. Main reason I think is the diarrhea I had on treatment is much better and my appetite has recovered, so I need to be more careful about what I eat. Darn!

I slept almost 12 hours last night! I think the stress wears me out. :(

Martha, I sent you a friend request on FB. I saw a FB meme of someone cutting hair thru a mail slot in their door! And one of doing a haircut with an umbrella in front of her with holes for the eyes and arms!

Got quite a lot done yesterday but need to keep working on the to-do list today. I stopped at the bank yesterday to pick up quarters for laundry and the line waiting to get in went all around the bank building! Not worth it just for quarters. Will try again today. I had forgotten my mask as well so probably wouldn't have been let in anyways.

Got my new wood burner yesterday so may try that out today. Looks like a really nice one and comes with a really nice case for it too! It was less than half the price of the one from the gourd farm.

Well, we got rain over night, about 4 drops I heard hit the awning! So much for a total washout. I guess we could still get some tho today and tomorrow. Things can change quickly out here. Partly cloudy right now tho and very little wind.

I need to put the cabinet together that I ordered for the space where the washer and dryer were. It is pretty big so I need a lot of space to lay all the pieces down and put it all together. Then will need some help getting it in place and fastening it to the wall for earthquakes. Not gonna happen today tho.

Did finally make my sloppy joes. Very good but will only last another meal or two. I thought it would make more.

Have a good day! :D

It is a beautiful day here today and we are going to be 79 on Thursday. Nice. So I got out in the yard and dug up and rotated the soil in my raised beds. Tomorrow I will put my mushroom compost in and rotate it into the soil. I love being able to be out working in the yard after nothing all winter. Will take Emma for a walk later and get the mail I have a list of things I need to do this week but it isnt a long list.....yet.

Had a salad and leftover chicken wings for lunch. Planning on a meatloaf sandwich for dinner...easy since I made the meatloaf yesterday and some meatballs to freeze. Having a caramel mocha now and just relaxing. I just love knowing I can go outside and enjoy the rest of the day safely in my little community.

Just had sloppy joes for lunch. Yum!

Had a few more rain drops here but looks like the storm is having a hard time making it over the mountains to us. They are getting a ton of rain and snow west of here tho.

I glued a pretty piece of material to my mask (glue just around the edges). Wanted to make it a little more fun to wear. And the material goes just over the edges on the back, so should be more comfortable on my face too. The edges of the mask felt a little rough on my face before.

There is a big controversy at our park right now. We have 5 laundry rooms in various places around the park for those who need them (me). They have decided to close all but one now. Everyone is upset about that because it puts all of us (there are still a few hundred people here now) in one place with little space for social distancing while doing laundry. When I do laundry at my facility, I hardly ever see anyone in there, but now with all of us going to just one place, there will be a lot more likelihood of running into others while there. A lot of us are hoping they decide to go back to having them all available again. We have all gone along with their rules (which are good), but this one isn't sitting so well.

Feeling lazy so far.

Peggy, I cooked some beans in the slow cooker yesterday. I don't know why I bought a two pound bag of Red Kidney beans. I just cooked a half pound with a ham hock and that's still a lot of beans for one person. I wish I could find good ham hocks. The ones from Walmart taste old. I would have taken the Day Lillies. There are blue iris growing in the ditches in some places. I would like to have some but don't want to get run over or snake bit trying to dig some up.

I needed cat food for the outside cats so went to town. Went to Walmart and now they have baskets lined up so you have to stand in line to get in. There is someone standing at the door, I guess tracking how many people go in and out. They are pretty well stocked. They had a lot of bread but not the kind I like. Not that I need bread anyway, I made beer bread yesterday. I stopped at the local grocery and got some frozen pie shells and even found some cans of flea spray. I want to make a strawberry pie.

I liked your idea of gluing material on your mask Barbie. I tried it on mine and it came out great. I didn’t have much choice on material. All I had was a leftover piece from a project I helped my 9-year-old granddaughter with. She was making a tote for 4H. Thanks for the idea.

went to the post office...mailed off some stuff and picked up some stuff also went to K&B to get some bungee cords and those runners for the steps... need to do something to make it easier for Shadow to get into the trailer... he is having a really hard time getting out like he doesn't I pull him into my arms as he is struggling because he hates it...and try not to drop him as he is struggling to get out of my arms...yesterday he didn't even want to leave the 5th wheel had to put him on the leash and really encourage him to the door like read that pull him to the door... however if I put him on the long leash he can come up with effort but can get back in... am hoping those covers will make it easier.. and I got water had friends come out to pump it into the 5th wheel for some reason my pump doesn't work it's really weird but when you test it its working but when you put it back together it doesn't so need to do something for next year...

I started to post in here a couple times today but got interrupted. Haha, only Ty or myself to interrupt me, but we managed.

There was a breakfast on FB... Eggs in a pan. Take bread and turn over (like covering for French toast), etc. I didn't have regular bread but pretty much followed the video, using a bagel thin. It would have been better with bread, but you gotta use what you have! Anyway, I was full for hours and hours. I'd make just half next time. But would do it again. Then for dinner I skidded a small potato very thin and cooked it in my air fryer while I cooked a gigantic burger on the stove. I only ate 1/2 the burger and saved 1/2 for tomorrow. Yes, I'm eating well, too well.

Tonight I learned that John Prine died. I've been expecting it as he's been on a ventilator since last weekend. But it saddens me. I guess we all feel things even more when it's someone we know. It's been years, but in my college days I spent a lot of time listening to John Prine, Steve Goodman and more. And knew them. Awesome folks who deserved all the accolades they got. The world lost a wonderful soul today. I know he and Steve are laughing and singing together again. The music lives on.

Sheila do you have any joint medication for Shadow like Dasuquin? Also CBD oil is also good, if you want to try that let me know and I'll send you a link. My husband takes 3 drops a day and no longer has knee pain.

BJ, what is the CBD oil brand your husband uses and where could I get it? It might help with my joint pain which hasn't been too bad since I haven't been working, but I am sure will flare up big-time once I get back to work.

This is what he uses and had relief almost immediately. Others find it takes sometimes at least a week. Take ONE drop from 1-3 times a day for 5 days, and then increase to TWO drops 3X a day for 5 days until you find the dose that works for you. Do not take more to start with or it won't work right. He takes two or tree drops at noon and bedtime. What works for one person might not for another. Buy the smallest bottle to try out this company has fast free shipping. Bluebird is a good company too, not all are what they claim so you have to know which ones are ok and lab tested.

Here is a link to various brands and their strength plus some reviews. Well duh, I forgot to add the link yesterday. https://cbdoilusers.com/cbd-oil-drops-p ... omparison/

Remember if you take prescription drugs or supplements wait 2 1/2 hours before you do CBD except for any drugs with grapefruit warning and blood pressure pills you have to wait 4 1/2 hours.
