Sunny Monday

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Sunny Monday

Good morning. A sunny bright day here today and temps predicted to be in the low 60’s. I think today I need to move the snowblower to the back of the garage and pull out the mower. I need to figure out how to remove the gas from the blower since it was all ready to be used and I never once needed it this winter. But I’m still not putting the snow shovels away. We may still get a snow event! The pup and I went for a walk yesterday and I was amazed at the amount of people and cars there. We normally only see a couple of cars and a couple of people but yesterday was so different. Not so many that we couldn’t stay ours needed distance from each other! After we took our walk I decided to just go for a drive and took a road I haven’t been on in a long time, ended up near I-80 and for once I knew that’s where I’d be! There’s a little shopping area with a bank and hardware store as well as a grocery store I’ve never been in. Decided to go in and see if they had the dog food I couldn’t get the other day and and maybe catsup. Score! Got both! So I stocked up on the dog food and got a couple of smaller bottles of catsup. Nice store too. I’ll go there again. The direct route it isn’t that far from me! And we got a nice walk and ride in the car. Rascal was happy too! So back to reality today and to some of the chores around here. I have a chiropractor appointment later today. She was closed for awhile but apparently decided to open up again and I for one am grateful! We had to postpone a couple of weeks ago so it’s definitely time to see her.
Beth, hope you have a good trip. Barbie, I so remember the quakes out your way. We had a few when I lived in California. The one I really remember is when my sister and I were in my parent’s apartment. She stood in a doorway and I was hugging the aquarium so it wouldn’t fall off it’s stand! Luckily it wasn’t a strong quake and all was well!
I hope you all have a great day and are healthy. Judy, hoping you are able to find campgrounds on your way north. Well, it’s officially afternoon now so I’d better get a move on here and accomplish something!

Sharon, good news on dog food and ketchup.

I got my propane this morning. Proud of myself lol. I'm about to give Ty a bath. First time I'll use the casita shower for it. It's another beautiful Arizona morning. The park has requested we all wear masks when off site anytime. It seems most of us are complying. So far our park is totally free of the virus but we never know when someone may be a carrier.

Sharon, could you put some Sea Foam in the snowblower gas and start it so it circulates through the engine. That's what I do to the mower in the winter.

This morning my neighbor was spraying the barn for flies. I hope that keeps the fleas down too. I cleaned up the leaves the Ficus tree dropped over the winter in the old house and set off another bug bomb for the fleas. I have looked all over and can't find any cans of flea spray. I have some granular poison for the yard. We use to have one of the fertilizer spreaders but I can't find it now.

This morning I made a one potato salad. It is really hard for me to do that. I usually make so much I have to eat it until I'm sick of it. I don't know what to make to go with it. Back to digging in the freezer. I have some cake mixes in the pantry. I might make a bundt cake so I can slice it and put in the freezer. If I want something sweet I can take out one slice.

It's sunny and 83 today. I sure would like to burn some trash but it's windy and I don't want to get a fine if I get caught.

My toilet finally would not stop running early this morning no matter what I did. I have been babying it by snapping the pedal up a couple of times to stop it from overfilling, but that no longer worked. The result was that I could not get water to even wash my face whenever the water pump was on because it was all going into the toilet and threatening to overflow. So out of bed and called the office here, then the mobile RV guy, who turned out to be a father and his 16-year-old-daughter. Daughter did the work while dad handed her tools and supervised! Luckily, I had the part from my Amazon order last week. Anyway, they had to pull my toilet because of where this was located so I could never have done it myself. The short story is that after they left, I wiped down all of the walls and the floor of my bathroom with Chlorox and dish soap. Also wiped down the cabinets and sink and toilet--everything. Then I did the entire RV floor with the same bleach solution and also my door, inside and out! While I was at it, I wiped down the walls in my hall and my dinette. And then because one mechanic sat on my couch, had to wipe that down as well.

So, hopefully, I have not been contaminated and the inside of my RV is cleaner than it has every been! Whew.

I did five loads of laundry yesterday and had put clean towels in the bathroom and clean rugs, so I had picked them all up and put them in my bedroom behind closed doors so I would not have to worry about them. Rest of today, I am taking it easy. :)

No rain so far but maybe later if it makes it over the mountains from the coast. At least it is a little cooler today.

I have been on-line and on the phone today getting some issues resolved. I was charged $100 by Good Sam for an auto renewal of their travel assist program which I no longer need. I thought I had cancelled that on line awhile back but guess not. Called them and the gal was so nice and helpful and canceled the account and is refunding my $100 so that helps quite a bit. Now am on hold for my health care company to report my loss of income. And also to find out why I was charged $40 for my last doctor visit when my co-pay is actually only $15. So am waiting to hear back about that. Next, to call Wells Fargo to see if I can defer my next payments for a month or two. Also got my census taken care of on-line. Found out I will be getting $221 per week from unemployment but don't know when that will start coming in. My HOA is covered for April but need to pay other bills in the next couple weeks. Hopefully will get the stimulus check soon too.

Need to do some housework later and trim nails, both mine and Lola's. Never mind my hair! I have been cutting the sides and top but the back is getting long. I will be sporting a mullet soon! :o

Still gotta make the sloppy joes too! That will probably be next since I am getting hungry!

edit> I guess I was charged $40 for both doctor appointments I had so will be getting refunded $50 for both of those. Yay!

Have a good day! :D
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

No Sandi, it will be more like one slice per day. I'm still trying to figure out why I bought a Spice Cake Mix. I'm sure I had something planned for it but beats me what it was.

Barbie, I saw something on Facebook I wanted to share with you but we aren't friends on Facebook and you can only share to a friend. It was someone giving a hair cut out a take-out window. Maybe you could put a stool outside one of your windows and give hair cuts that way. lol

Sandi, we will want a dated photo of the remainder of your carrot cake, you know.

Now, I, of course, never eat more than one piece of cake per day--guaranteed! Except my favorite is that chocolate satin pie that is made by Marie Callender. If I get one, I cut it into 6 pieces and stuff each one into containers, but they take up way too much room in my freezer, so I am forced to sacrifice and eat one immediately.

We must be really bored to be talking so much about food. Wonder how much weight is gained across the entire country during this time when we have so much leisure to bake and eat.

I saw that Martha it was funny. Got my dolls put in their bins found out that father Christmas has no eyes not sure why they dropped back into his head... but they did and then the bin that I put two of the girls they are my babies there was a finger sure enough CissyAnn has finger missing will need to find some glue when I get them out and repair it... hopefully it will stay one if not oh well it's not where it is really noticeable anyway
Obviously  I put the books I read under the desk so dug them out so that I could leave them with a friend so she can read them over the summer... 4 bags full one is not very full but the others to the top
I guess I am OCD on keeping track of what I've read lately I write them down and those that are a series I mark each off so I will know if I've read the whole series, In the past I've put them back on the shelf and then forget what I've read... so doing it this way.... working for right now other than started a series and looking back have read the two missing but now want to reread and can't find them guess they were donated to the park library oh well not important but they were the middle books not a common thread through but enough of mention of others that I wanted to reread the books
tomorrow need to go to the post office have some mail to pick up.. and checks to send out... my niece mentioned that she had some tp can't remember why some company where she lives so I had her send some to her grandma need to reimburse her the shipping but wow 30 dollars??? I think they were sent priority which I wouldn't have done... then mom is wondering why she had tp sent to her... cause there is none on the shelves.. oh well at least she has it if needed
still feeling sad talked with my dd today it's been hard for her as well loosing him was as hard as loosing a blood nephew
you all have a good day be safe
