TV/DVD set-up help needed...

Postby BarbaraRose » Sun Mar 22, 2020 3:53 pm

I have had my DVD player for awhile now but never set it up since I don't know how. I figured now would be a good time to do that.

So I took pics of my current set up and the instructions so am hoping one of you can tell me which of the 3 versions I need to use and how to do that.

I have 3 Spectrum boxes that are connected to my TV...

This is the mess of cords and cables in the back...

Here are options A and B (not sure what the difference is)...

And option C:

Thank you!

Barbie -

Do you have any available connections on the back of your tv?

Did you get your TV fixed? My bedroom TV is flickering like crazy, but I don't know what to do with it.

However, maybe on the weekend, I will crawl up into my cabover bunk and try to straighen out some things in my wiring up there. Thinking maybe something is loose. I will take some photos of my connections to my dvd player to see if that helps you.

Do you have red, white and yellow ports on the back of your tv? Seeing a photo of any that are there would help. Do you have cords with those color with single plug connector to go into components?

I did get the different colored cables hooked up per a You Tube video. Now I just have to figure out how to get it working on my TV.

Not knowing your tv - some thoughts

Does it need to be set on a certain channel? I think that is pretty old school
Have you pushed the ‘Input’ on your remote to tell tv what device you want to use? May say DVR or perhaps component or 2. Something of that nature.
