Grounded

Postby retiredhappy » Tue Mar 17, 2020 11:07 am

Well its finally happened, my kids have grounded me. Because of my age and underlying health issues, my kids have informed me I'm grounded. Not allowed to go anywhere. My daughter is actually doing my grocery shopping for me today and poor me, I have to stay home where its warm and got to sleep in. She's stopping at the library to stock up on reading material for me. I'm so abused! Its not really much of a stretch for me as I leave the ranch as little as possible altho I will miss our weekly lunch at our favorite Mexican restaurant after grocery shopping.

Seriously, my SIL is an administrator at a VA nursing home and they are on complete lock down - no visitors at all. They may even send the administrative staff home and only leave necessary medical staff. There's something to be said for living in a little podunk town in the middle of no where Texas as we're the last to get anything.

Everyone stay safe and take care of yourselves.

I dont go out much but now that I cant I want to LOL I have nowhere to go anyway so will just stay on lockdown. I have disinfected everything in the kitchen twice. I unload groceries on my counter so just took a wipe and wiped down my canned good, washed my bags, and then cleaned the counter and my phone...............ok I am done.

Karen....what is it with these kids caring about us elderly folk....lol Stay healthy, stay safe, stay sane...(in your own unique original manner)... Snuggle puppers and my favorite, be sure you get ample sleep. Will be thinking of you. As someone at work today mentioned.....we aren't hearing about what Nebraska or Iowa are doing.....or podunk Texas....

Karen, it's good they want to protect you. You and the dogs can have an extended vacation. That said, your SIL might be a risk at home.

Being stuck at home with your dogs doesn't sound like such a bad thing! It is nice when you have people who care, especially your kids!
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)
