Well geezs I must be living in a vacuum! Who knew you could have all this stuff done! I wear makeup usually, but hadn't heard of these possibilities. I always wanted red hair but have never passed the thinking about it stage.
Go for it Janice maybe it's a new you opening up.

Janice...you inspired me! I've had a box of hair color in the cabinet for a couple of months...never took time (wow...a whole 20 minutes) to use it. Last night I did....I'm probably about 1/3 gray...but those gray ones are wirey little devils and pure white. I use a semi-permament coloring about 2 shades lighter than my natural color...doesn't hide the gray but makes it look like my hair is highlighted. Thanks for giving me the incentive! :D

I think the eyeliner & brows- etc/etc----- it depends on who does the job for you-------
Have you ever gotten a bad hair cut??????????
And wonder what on earth was that person thinking when they cut your hair???????
I'm an old cosmetologist & I'm really picky about my hair cuts---------- well I'd be really really really picky about who did something permanent on my body!!!!!!!!! :D :D :D :D ;)
A bad hair cut can grow out-------- BUT-------- ;)

You all just tickle me. I don't know why I haven't handed the camera to someone ... but I will soon. I'm just enjoying the heck out of this thread.

dpf, I'm glad you got your courage up. I hope you enjoy your new color. And those considering that other stuff ... I'm just a chicken.

Ahhh...Janice...it's not that I've never done it before....just hadn't colored in about 8 months...you just gave me the inspiration to pull out the ol' box and do it again...guess I was just being lazy! It's seems that no one notices that I've done it...except for me.

But dpf YOU know. Even though I thought my color job was a major change, no one noticed, per se. But they are telling me that something is different, I look healthier, younger. Is it the tan? No ....

Trying to post a picture I took of myself in the mirror just after getting my lips tattooed. The color appears vibrant but lightens as it heals. I ended with a peach color just a few shades darker than my regular color. Like I said, it hurt so bad getting it done I didn't go back for the touch up. I did go back and get my brows and liner touched up. My glasses pretty much cover up the brows, though.

Lenora, I moved your post to this thread - I think you meant to put it here. Hope you don't mind.

Your lips look great - I'm sorry that was so painful, so it's not on my list, but I never really wore lipstick much either. But my eyes are do to get eyeliner tomorrow afternoon - as long as the lady doing it doesn't have her grandbaby pop out between now and then :) I don't think I'll take a picture until after they heal. Well, I might take one, but I won't post it LOL

Beth, just the THOUGHT of someone poking needles into my eyelids makes me quiver up the spine. Hope it turns you into a wide-eyed beauty.

And yes, we WANT to see those day-after pictures. ;)

Thanks for putting my post where it belonged, Beth.
You will notice in the picture that my liner isn't all that noticeable. One reason is that my eyes are very close together and set back. Too much darkening would make them sink even further into my face, so basically she applied just enough to make it look like I had lashes as they are as sparse as my brows.
As with any tattoo there is scabbing and you have to remember to leave the scabs to fall off on their own because if you pull them off you will pull out the color with it.
Someone asked me what getting a tattoo felt like. I describe it as dragging a needle across your skin, 'repeatedly' and in the same spot over and over. lol That is what it felt like to me. The gal that did mine did use a numbing solution, but I found it did very little. I think novacaine would be a good choice. lol

Some day---it will get better------good thing hubby loves me!!!!! :D
Well I finished my bottle of water & a quacker bar-- back to work for me!!!!!!!

Well, my friend checked in and she's loving her eyeliner so far. Took about an hour, didn't feel much and if needed, will go back for tweaking as part of the price. She said noone would look at her and say "EYELINER", but her eyes definitely look better and now doesn't have to worry about sweating, etc. Her skin is oily, so makeup just doesn't last.

I, on the other hand, have to use remover to get liner off. carold

The person who does mine - is automatically a two time procedure - which I'm glad for - even though I will say there was some pain - I already love the look - but need to keep ice on my eyes tonight - so shouldn't be here LOL

OO - it's the jump in the shower and go ability that makes me want this.

Will give this 6 weeks to completely heal - then will go in for the 2nd treatment - fill in where necessary, darken if neccesary, etc.

I elected a "medium" line - and it's still thinner than I would have put on if doing my own -

Off to ice my eyes.
