Sunshine Saturday

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Sunshine Saturday

No rain this morning! Blue skies and chirping birds!

I think I am going to go to our craft fair here at the park at 10am and check that out first. Then drive to Palm Springs to check out the Vintage Trailer show for a couple hours. Then head back home for the Park Model tour of new and remodeled units here. Then take a nap!

Tomorrow will be laundry and more painting. I picked up a quart of paint last night that should do all of the trim on the porch windows. I have just been using the little sample jars I got before, so I needed to get more once I decided on the color I wanted.

My stomach is growling so I better get up and make some breakfast and then get ready.

Enjoy your day! :D
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

My meetup group has a brunch scheduled North of Lafayette this morning. That's about 50 miles for me so not going. I have been getting up early all week and was hoping to sleep in but my animals had other ideas. I wanted to go to Walmart yesterday when I was out but didn't make it. I think most of what I wanted can wait a day or two.

Thursday when it was cold and raining I put some shrimp in the refrigerator to thaw so I could make shrimp stew. Now that it's sunny and warmer not much in the mood for shrimp stew but have to cook the shrimp.

Sugar decided to try out the sofa this morning. She was in Pinky's spot so Pinky wasn't happy. Sugar knows she is not suppose to get on the bed but I found her and Annie sleeping together on the bed yesterday. I usually end up sleeping with 3 cats and can't move. I don't need a dog on the bed too.

Barbie, when you and Sue finish painting you can come paint my kitchen. My whole house is a beige color and I don't know what other color I would paint it. The cats have messed up some of the sheetrock. I'm not sure what they used in here is really sheetrock or something cheaper. I know sheetrock can be repaired but not sure my walls can be.

I haven't been on here in a long time, so thought I'd check in. I finally put a new battery in my bathroom scale and was shocked by what it told me I've been doing while it was out of order. Grabbed Birdie and we went to the fitness center this morning, then a long walk this afternoon. Hope I can keep it up.

We had a good time on our short visit to the Hardee Lakes GTG. Got Bob out in the lake paddling his new Hornbeck/kayak. Then visited my brother in Rotonda for two days. Also enjoyed meeting up with Texas and Louisiana friends at the RVillage Rally the following week. That was near us on the Suwannee River. Bob and I left that one early due to inclement weather.

My next camping trip is set for April with the kayaking gals here in the Village. We will be camping at Mike Roess Gold Head Branch State Park.

I enjoy keeping up with most of you on Facebook, but will try to remember to check in here more often.

It's a cool, rainy day in Arizona. Tomorrow I head to my casita in Benson where I'll be busier. Tuesday doctor, Wednesday rv wash and wax, Thursday dermatologist appt. That office owes me money, so it could be an interesting discussion. Ty and I are both looking forward to time with Ginger. I'm not sure what she and I will get up to/into, but we always find something(s). Hopefully I'll get my taxes done in the next couple weeks, too.

Good to see you here, Liz.

Liz, it was good to see you, Bob and Birdie on the trip to Florida. I really like the place you found to live. I was surprised that I didn't gain weight on the trip but we only ate out one time. I usually gain weight on a trip from all the eating out. Sugar takes me on a brisk walk every day. It probably should be two walks and longer.

The people that were suppose to be coming to repair the barn and car port never showed up all week so I could have stayed in Florida with Colleen and Carolyn.

I managed to get everything done on my list today. I got to the craft fair here at 10am. I was disappointed that it was all just paintings on canvas, no other arts and crafts. I did ask it that was all that was allowed and was told that anything artistic is allowed but that was all that was brought to this sale. They said they would welcome any gourd art I have next year. That was what I really wanted to know.

Then I headed to Palm Springs for the Vintage Trailer show. That was fun. Lots of old trailers all fixed up. Some were remodeled in the vintage decor and some were very modern. Some classic cars and old bikes, as well.

It started to rain a bit on the way home but quit by the time I got there. Then I hopped in the golf cart and headed out to check out the 13 park models on tour to check out their upgrades, remodels and add-ons. They were all very nice. Most of them turned their decks/porches into another room in their homes. I found myself also checking out the cool artwork in the homes! I wish I had the money to do some of the upgrades to my house. One lady said they put $75K into their remodel! Many of the homes were on the golf course so they had awesome views of that, as well as the mountains. :o Am very jealous of that! Oh well, my house is a very slow work in progress...

By the time I was at the end of the tour, the clouds moved in, it got really windy, and the temps had dropped, so it was a pretty chilly ride back in the golf cart. Had to close the windows at home and turn on the furnace. Now I need to find something for dinner.

Tomorrow, laundry and painting...
