One More Cold Dsy.

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

One More Cold Dsy.

Good Morning from the 45th. Today is the last really cold day here before we head back into the closer to norm temps for a few days. At least tomorrow will be warmer for my sled dog adventure, probably in 20’s I figure. Hoping for some sun, but beggars can’t be choosers as they say, so will go with the flow. The sun is getting stronger in terms of warmth now, so you notice it, even in the coldest of days.

Judy, what a merry go round. If there was another hospital in that area, I would instruct that assisted living place to send him there next time. Maybe different doctors might do different. I know people in his condition can bounce back but then go down again.

Beth, looks like you are starting to run into what I read last year about the huge number of RVers now days, making it harder to get campsites just walking in and how campgrounds are gong to reservation systems now. I know that the MI State Parks are really busy anymore and if you don’t have reservations, you are just out of luck. Walk in’s are slowly disappearing too, but most parks still have some and they disappear fast in the popular parks. It means having to make advance plans, but that goes for most types of vacations. I like reservations myself, as I know my site will be there when I eventually arrive and also can get my favorite. In the state parks anyway. I’m seeing where awaomarts are starting to refuse overnighters now too cause people are abusing the situation.

Didn’t get the house completely cleaned yesterday but gave my bathroom and kitchen a good overhaul. Was doing some other little time consuming things along the way, including paint touch ups on a wall where I took some nails out and painted the heating system baseboard in my living room. Nothing left to do except just vac and dust. But want to go to town this’s morning after I run the blower over the drive. Could do what I want to do tomorrow while I’m up that way, but will be dressed for being outdoors and gets too warm in the stores.

So guess I shall get moving. Have a nice day everyone.

Nice here tho. My daughter is back in the hospital. The one with the leg amputaton. There is an infection in here stump so she is on antibiotics and pain killers. I will be leaving for the hospital shortly.
I watched the Westminster Dog Show the other night. Very entertaining. However, I love the mixed breeds the best as pets. Those beautiful dogs with the coats don't look anything like the "street" dogs.
Today is another Lung class for me. Have a good one, Lyn

Good morning gals. Happy Valentine's Day. Not that it matters to many of us unless we consider our pets as our Valentine! :D Yesterday was my mom's birthday so I was thinking about her. I will have to stop at WM tomorrow to buy the chocolates at half price!

Slept in this morning since I don't have to be to work until 2. Lola seems to be feeling a little better now.

There has been a large patch of dead grass in back of my house next to the patio all winter. The landscape crew finally came by yesterday and fixed the irrigation system there and reseeded the area so hopefully, I will have nice grass there again soon!

My co-worker had her baby that passed away right away. Very sad but she has such a great attitude that I think she will be able to deal with it reasonably well. She did name the baby which I recommended for her to do, after one of the guys at work had told her to not name "it" and forget it happened and move on. Guys just don't understand those things. My mom had a baby that she lost during childbirth and they told her (back then it was common practice) to "forget and try again". She was haunted by that the rest of her life. I finally helped her name the baby girl, shortly before my mom passed away. She was very happy about that!

Nice, calm, warm, sunny day again today.
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

Lyn, in case you aren't aware the Hallmark Channels American Rescue Dog Show is on this Sunday and Monday. I loved this show last year so am planning to watch.

Happy Valentine's Day to all my lady friends here. Treat yourself to something special. I got myself some ice cream. :)

I'm all moved to Tucson for this week.

Sue, I know about making reservations. I loved that this cg didn't.... They still filled up every night. And they had 20-40 or more sites come available every day. So if you went in early, you could almost always get a site. Reservations won't really make it easier for the big rigs either. But it's a convenience for the cg and those who want to reserve a year in advance. Chances are I'll never stay there again as long as there's BLM land near to boondock.

Happy Valentine's Day!
Beth, thanks for telling us to treat outselves. Great idea! Not sure what I'll do/get. Maybe cut a flower from outside - my gardenias are almost done blooming - I'll rescue one to bring inside. :D
Lyn, sorry to hear about your daugher. Will send prayers her way. Keep up those lung classes/exercises.
Judyb, lifting you up in prayer also. Can't imagine how exhausted & trying it is to deal with everything going on with your uncle.
Sue, not sure I could live where its that cold anymore. I've adjusted quite well to so Cal winters.
Karen, whenver I see a standard poodle, I think of Emma - she's such a beauty!
Barbie, I'll keep your co-worker in my prayers, too. Its nice that you encouraged her to name the baby. This child is as real as any living child & should rightfully have a name.
Well, I survived my first full week with the baby (11 weeks old). Monday was a little rough, but I'm trying to get him on somewhat of a schedule. He sleeps at least 2-3 hours at some point during the day so I'm able to get my 'work' work done. I'll start parttime in March - looking forward to that so I won't have to be tied to the computer so much. He sure is sweet! I just need to make sure I just don't sit & rock him all day.
Love winter out here - I hope I never take it for granted.

Going to try to clean up the place a bit while baby sleeps.
Enjoy what's left of today & take care,
Catherine

Thanks Beth. I was not aware of the Hallmark show. It is now on my calendar. Lyn

Fairly busy day at work so that was good.

There was a shooting at a doctor's office just down the street from work this morning. Some guy went in and shot one of the doctors there and then shot himself. Both died. No motive announced yet. The shooter brought in a vase full of flowers saying it was for that doctor and when the doctor came out to get them, the guy pulled out a gun and shot him. Very sad.

Kathryn, so glad you are enjoying the new baby! And will have more time to spend with your family now.

Barbie, I am ever so glad you are ok. I head a brief note about the shooting on news but didn't realize it was so close to you.
