Warm Wednesday

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Warm Wednesday

Postby JudyJB » Wed Feb 12, 2020 10:32 am

I'll start our morning coffee today. I got out of bed at 9:;30 am, but have been staying up so incredibly late trying to get things done, that I still did not get enough sleep. I won't try to dwell on it, but the mental stress combined with physical tiredness is wearing me down. Good news is I will be moving into my cousin's driveway with a 30 amp hookup on Tuesday. My original reservations were way over in the Everglades at Long Pine Key, which is on the way to Flamingo--220 miles away which is much too far with my uncle still in intensive care.

So, waiting for my rental car to arrive at Hertz from another larger rental office. When it comes, I will either take a cab or get a ride to pick it up. Then I think I will try to get my laundry done and get a haircut. I have almost no clean clothes and my hair is driving my nuts.

It IS going to be hot today and the next couple of day, so AC is running. Nice view here watching boats approach the lock.

That is swell, Judy, about moving on to cousins driveway. It is too bad about Florida’s regulations regarding hospice. Sounds mid evil. Maybe just another way to separate old folks from their money.
I did 25 min on treadmill yesterday.

Still hanging out in bed on my laptop.

Judy, that will be good for you to be closer to your Uncle and be right there with your cousin. You two can commiserate together and support each other. That can be so helpful when you are going thru something like this. Hope you can figure out the hospice situation. If he is that close to passing, I can't imagine them trying to move him somewhere.

Time to get up and moving here. Need to eat something soon! My stomach is growling!

I do know hospice programs within hospitals had different admission standards when my mil was moved into one. Instead of the 6 month rule it was more like "imminent"/any day. It as small unit. My mother's hospice program fell into the 6 month standard. Both were covered by Medicare. That said, things keep changing, especially what is and isn't covered.

I have an atomic clock. Overnight every night it resets the time. Last night I have no idea where it thought it is because when I got up to potty during the night I knew it was wrong. I went back to bed knowing it would be wrong all day. It's 6 hours ahead! All I can figure is I'm out at sea off the coast of Ireland/England as both London and Dublin are 7 hours ahead.
