Cold Start to Saturday

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Cold Start to Saturday

Morning. Chilly start this morning. 2 above here, which is balmy compared to temp reports from other areas. But the sun is ot, with some clouds around. I am so thinking of going for a drive, just to get out on the open road for awhile. Take advantage of nice driving day. Have some things I can putter with in the house, but not in mood. As is, it’s after 10 here and I’m not out of jammies yet

Got my errands done yesterday and forgot to get the tile glue, which is one thing I went in for   So, Martha, you aren’t the only forgetful one. Got sidetracked at Lowe’s. Picked up a new set of blinds I needed and lost my train of thought. Yeah, yeah, I know, should be making lists. That’s too easy

Barbie, you might want to think about taking some glucosamine supplements as they help with arthritis, bones etc. I get mine from a health food store as those over the counter ones they sell at Walmart etc. have additives in them we don’t need. It sure has taken care of my achy knees. Better than feeding Tyneol in your body all the time.

Beth, I can just picture your short little jaunts around CA and AZ. Sounds like fun. Loved the sculpture pics. They look so real. Judy, I sent you a PM.

Been thinking it might be time pretty soon to start a spring/summer adventures thread. See if any of us are going to be wandering around here and there. No GTG’s on the horizon after Hardee Lakes. Hmmmmm. But then guess we are getting to where the active members aren’t traveling as much, hanging closer to home or hanging up the keys.

Well, if I’m going to travel at all today, I should get a moving here or I might just forget about it and do something else. Hope you all have a nice day, travel safe if you are on the road.

Sun’s out! Will go into pool after I walk Benji. Did 18 minutes on treadmill in class yesterday. Interesting pictures Beth.
Some idiot kids burned skirts on Palm trees. They will grow back. Happens every once and awhile.
Storm down south sounded horrible Hope all are OK down there. Lyn

So much going on here.
Love the pics of Borrego Springs - will need to go there sometime.
Lyn, good to hear you did 18 minutes on the treadmill. Hope those lungs are getting stronger.

Yep, we are all a bit forgetful at times. I had planned on going to a seminar today thinking it started at 11:30 - ha! It started at 10 & ended at 11:30 - oh well. Guess I didn't really need to go.

Had my first 3 days with the baby this past week. He's very sweet. So far, so good. Work offered some alternate ideas for part-time - although there is 1 aspect I'm not fond of, they are allowing me to work outside of standard hours which will probably work nicely so I'm not trying to juggle the baby & resolve critical production problems at the same time. It's definitely worth trying out. I'll start the new schedule in March so we'll see how it goes. Retirement is still an option if I don't feel I'm accomplishing enough to justify my paycheck. ;)

My DS & DSIL both had their birthdays yesterday so I'm fixing dinner for them all tonight & then will babysit while they go out for a bit. I love having them all here, but am ready for a free weekend. Between the KC Chiefs games & gatherings & holidays & random babysitting I'm getting tired. Hopefully things will let up now. No more celebrations for a while.

At least I'm not bored. HA! And I do love snuggling & rocking that baby!

Just got home from work. Not quite so busy today but fairly steady, so I did get some "sit down" time in between cuts. Two of the guys I work with both have attitudes. One was sent home early the other day because it wasn't busy, and he got all mad about it and called in sick the next day just because he was still mad. The other guy who had a big hissy fit with the manager about too many redoes and complaints a couple weeks ago, took out his anger out on a customer and messed up the guys's haircut (one side was an inch longer than the other) and actually cut the guy a couple times when digging his clippers into his head. So unprofessional with both of them! One guy is 40 and the other one is 60. I get tired of apologizing to customers for the other stylists behavior.

Done with my rant...

When I got home tonight there was an Amazon envelope on my deck. It was opened and empty. I had ordered 2 books that were supposed to be in there. I also had a new printer delivered from Walmart which was also on the deck. So the books must have been stolen before it arrived to my house. I am sure no one would pass up a printer for two gourd art books! I just contacted Amazon and they are sending replacement books for me.

Lola is doing so much better now. No diarrhea for the past few weeks and she is starting to groom herself more now. She looks better now too. My house smells so much better as well!! :D

I have tomorrow off. Need to finish cleaning the camper, put on the new storage bay locks, and get caught up on housework and laundry.

Off to bed early tonight!
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

It's dark out and I am on the computer what does that tell you?
yep at this moment it is humming along...we will wait for a while before I feel like this is going to work.
My friends had a chain so didn't go to Parker on Weds...went to Havasu got to Harbor Freight and they said there was too much gas in it so we (had taken a friend with me) talked about it for a bit and she recommended going to O'Reilly's and see if they had some way of helping... they were both taken back because they rejected the return till all the gas was out... but one of guys had what worked something that he could siphon out the fuel a regular siphon hose wouldn't have worked I am sure not that much in I am pretty sure less than a cup...took it back and the guy that switched over the generator's didn't even look... friends came over today and put the generator on it's stand hooked it up and it started off let it run a bit... then I turned it off went to get my shower and go to the grocery store... and would you believe when I went to start up the generator it wouldn't so text them back thought wouldn't be able to look at it tonight as they didn't get back with me for awhile... they came out about 8 and it started up right away... don't know what was going on this afternoon... they also filled my water tank then Monday will come out to change the oil and we will see if I have a broken hose or it was just the city water... even though this generator is no loud because of where it is it's loud in here nee to turn up the radio... hopefully soon I can find someone to come and hook up the direct tv so far no one has been successful. I've missed most of a season of NCIS related shows  has anyone noticed all the known people who have passed away today was the guy from Wild Wild West think was the show and also Kooky Burns can't think of his first name then I think I saw someone else was gone...need to keep an eye on the time so I can turn off the genny when it's quite time..
weather has warmed up might get some rain on Monday till then we will enjoy a bit warmer weather
you should have seen the sunset the other day so pretty!!!!

Orson Bean is the other one who died. He was hit and run over by 2 cars on Friday night. So sad!
