Sunshine Monday Morning

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Sunshine Monday Morning

Good Morning! Woke up to a rising sun in a clear blue sky this morning. Beautiful. The NWS up here calls it BOB (Bright Orange Ball) January was 65% cloudy, 35% partly cloudy and 0% sunny. The thing being how much cloud cover is in the sky in the morning hours. If there is any, then it’s classified as partly cloudy. Most of what sunny days we did get were late morning through afternoon.

So today I will enjoy the sun. Hopefully will get the dogs out for a nice walk. But first have to wait out two people coming to the house today, one a lady to buy a re liner I am selling and the other the furnace tech.

So gonna go run the vac and do some more cleaning in the basement. Have a nice day everyone. Coffee’s hot if you want some and I have tea too.

Didn't get too much done yesterday. Gave myself a pedicure before I went to do a haircut for a friend. She invited me to stay and watch the Superbowl with her and another friend, so I did. During halftime, we went down the street to another party for awhile. So I didn't get home til after 7. Fell asleep on the couch by nine so I got up and went to bed.

The Santa Ana winds came thru overnight so it was really loud and windy here. Still is pretty breezy, cloudy, and much cooler today.

My golf cart was picked up this morning. Hope it isn't too expensive. Can't take another hit financially right now. Am still looking into the title situation with the house. Thanks again Anne for your advice!

Been going thru all my gourd books and getting great ideas from all of them! Hopefully, I can get started on them soon! I think I have enough supplies to get started for now. Just gotta set up the table, etc, on the porch.

Off to work soon here. Should be busy with the haircut sale going on. Luckily, my wrist is feeling good now.

Have a good day! :D

Barbie, glad you are feeling better. I managed to miss all of the super bowl and half time show. In the past I recorded it a few times so I could watch the commercials and skip through the football. lol I don't have a receiver that records anymore. I think there use to be someone on here that worked with gourds but I don't remember who. I think she made drums but maybe I'm dreaming.

I am waiting on someone to come look at the damage to the barn roof. I had planned on going to Lafayette but that's not going to happen today.

I mowed in front of the barn. We have rain coming tomorrow or Wednesday so wanted to get that done. I had to mow part of it high and then low. It's a lot of wet clover that bogs the mower if I'm not careful. I wanted to burn some trash but the winds have picked up here. As wet as it is I don't think I could start the grass on fire.

It's afternoon and chilly today and the next couple days. I'm visiting friends in California and we gabbed and had pizza last night. I returned to my rig and put the game on because my bff is an avid Chiefs fan and I was hoping they'd win. It was early in the 4th quarter and I got to see the Chiefs come to life. Great finish.

I ran into the cute little town here this morning. I can understand why they like it here.

Way past morning, but WOOHOO for the KC Chiefs! :D
Had a great gathering at my son's house - smoked ribs, BBQ beans, potato salad, all yummy midwest food. I did my part in helping them win - since I don't typically watch football, when it didn't look too good, I went into the kitchen & started cleaning up - that's when they really took off! My son promised Olivia ice cream if the Chiefs won so she was as delighted as we were with the win. Kansas City is living it up! The big celebration & parade is scheduled for Wed. The office sent out an email this morning saying they will be closed Wed so everyone can join in the fun. Friends in KC said they've gotten notices that there won't be any school (at some districts) on Wed. What an exciting time!
That's it - just needed to brag a little on my team!

Just got home from work. Was a long day!

They are saying it could get down to 32 tonight so I moved my plants on to the deck under the awning. I may cover them as well. The wind finally died down. There are palm frond pieces all over the place around here!

Will be chilly tomorrow morning for golf. Might have to dig out my gloves and earmuffs! Then I have 2 haircuts to do, some phone calls to make about my house registration mess, and then back to work for the afternoon and evening.

My coworker who is pregnant found out after more tests that there are serious problems with the baby. They don't think the baby will survive to full-term and delivery. I feel so bad for her.

Will be off to bed soon. I got some more ZiCam today so have been taking that. Hopefully, I will feel back to normal tomorrow.
