Restful Saturday

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Restful Saturday

Postby JudyJB » Sat Jan 25, 2020 1:12 pm

Going to just hang around today. Posted on my blog about my mile-long boardwalk stroll yesterday at Kirby Storter Roadside Park. Did not see much wildlife other than a snake and a very small alligator, but it was very pleasant to get into the bald cypress. This "roadside park" has the usual things you find in a roadside park, but it also is the start of some hiking trails and has a boardwalk I have visited several times before. There is a chikee hut partway down which is a nice place to enjoy the quiet and the pleasant view and breeze.

Going to work on papers today, and maybe take a walk around the campground, but then I really need to work on cleaning out one underneath storage bin per day. They have become really a mess because during the colder months I just stuffed stuff in. Now to clean and organize.

Hi Judy! So glad you have a day to rest up, although you'll probably be outside reorganizing your compartments. At least the sun is shining. Steve, Brenda & I took the tram ride in that area and it was real nice. So glad you're enjoying the area.

It's cool and sunny in Ocala. Tomorrow we leave for Daytona to dog sit my sister & bill's whippet. Not much else going on but enjoying reading what all of you are doing.

I'm guessing you mean Shark Valley, Irmi. I am headed there on Monday, assuming it does not rain. I'll get there early so I can get one of the two RV parking spots and take my bike so I can ride around the loop. Great place to see birds and alligators!!

Good Morning, Judy, I have enjoyed the pictures on your blog. Thank You! Have a nice restful day today.
Barbie, so sorry to hear Lily got out. I too was wondering what happened.
Sarah, I finally saw a picture of Zipper! He is a cutie pie. Interesting he has the same name as my last cat!
I just finished my pool jogging. Sun is out here...another beautiful day. I practice my “purse breathing “. While in the pool.
Yesterday, in class, I was able to do 10 minutes on the tread mill! I have to practice walking more slowly!

Yes, Judy! Shark Valley was exactly where we were! It was a very interesting tour and saw lots of birds and gators.

Lyn, I'll have to Google purse breathing. Ten minutes on the tread mill is a long time! Good for you!

OK, I was wondering why breathing into a purse would be helpful, unless of course you were going shopping. Then I looked it up and realized it was breathing through pursed lips! Ah, makes much more sense, and you don't get your purse wet in the pool that way.

Judy, you are funny!

Martha, congrats on your new furkid!

I always stop at a donut shop on the way to work when I go in early to get a donut and French Vanilla cappuccino. I did that this morning as well. At around noon, I got hit with excruciating abdominal cramps. I got the same thing a couple of weeks ago after having a cappuccino from the same place. We were really busy but I made a quick trip to the drug store to pick up some Pepto Bismal. Took that and it helped for a few hours but cramping started up again around 3. Things slowed down so I figured the two other stylists could get by without me so I went home a couple hours early. Been laying low at home since then. So far nothing more has come of it but still could. Cramps are gone but still feel a little bloated. Last time this happened, I was in the bathroom for quite awhile after I got home. No more cappuccino from that shop. I will make my own at work from now on. Was a busy day and now both of my wrists hurt. Never had my right wrist hurt before. :? I did get really good tips today tho!

Lola has been meowing constantly since I got home, wanting/demanding to go outside! Ever since last week when she got out, she is obsessed with the idea. Was thinking of taking her out with her harness and leash but not sure if that will just make it worse.

No sign of Lily yet. :(

I found the earrings I had lost awhile ago. They were in the pouch I use when I travel, for my makeup and personal items. Yay! Slowly but surely finding my missing things around here! :D
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)
