I wonder how the snow was in Sue's part of Michigan? She might be snowed in without power, but at least the storm looks like it is mostly past her. A little cloudy with a beautiful cool ocean breeze today here at Gamble Rogers, so later I go out and clean up my bike. I have not ridden it in a year because of my low platelets, but I am going to try now. Having not been bruising anyway.

I also need to clean the salt from my windshield and windows. After four days, they are really covered with salt, but it is well worth it to have such a terrific view and be enjoying the sounds of the heavy surf. Would be a great day for surfing if I were about 50 years younger and a LOT braver!!

Since I was up so dang early my project started sooner rather than later. Got all the magazines I have been saving for years in a pile and will try to go thru a few of them each day to see if any recipes stand out to me. I usually just head to the internet for a recipe but they might have something that is different. Then moved my small instant pot and bread maker into that cabinet. Swept the floor and steam mopped, Threw a load of laundry in and did some dusting. Hmmmmm now what will I do??? LOL Going to make some sugar free pudding to satisfy my sweet tooth. Might roll out a pie crust and make tarts. Not a lot of calories in one or two tarts.

Judy, please rinse the underside of your rv the best you can. The salt can really do damage!

I had big plans of going "downtown" Q for the parade today. I was so lazy I couldn't get there early enough and it didn't start until 11. Yep, that's lazy. But Ty got a great walk. The last hour I've been playing with my plans for when I leave here. Of course everything but my return date to my casita can change on a dime. That date is pretty firm because I have two follow up doctor's appts.

Karen, nice to know your tarts don't have many calories. Wish I could say that about mine.

No, Sue is not snowed in. Thanks for thinking of me Judy. The storm has been mostly in the southern and central part of the state. Wave 2 is coming in though. We only had about an inch of snow last night and just cloudy today. 4 inches over west of here is the most snow reported up here. Originally this area was predicted to have over a foot of snow, but that has been changed to 3-6 inches. Heaviest 6-9 inches, moved a little east and south, but still close enough that it could give us more. Will see what happens in morning light. No power outages up here to my knowledge. Power outage for me is rare anyway.

The Detroit area has seen really heavy rains. Saw some pics on FB of people kayaking in the steeets in Dearborn

Sarah posted in FB, that she survived what sounded like a really wicked storm. Lots of limbs and branches down she said and power went off and on. I’m wondering about Martha and her camping group. Cheryl is okay she said.

Camping crew in LA near Lafayette are all okay. They did have scary high winds they said but all is well, plus no one is in the pokey down there. They are a wild and wonderful bunch. Linda Clayton is visiting here at ACV for a month or so. We are hoping for plenty of rain up north as the Suwanee River had a token sewage spill near or at Valdosta, GA. We are low on water anyway so a good splashing of rain would be very welcome. Our rain chances just went down. If Cheryl had gotten here we probably would have gotten rain.

Sure hoping the GTG in Q has good weather up to, including, and also after the good times. We were up to the low 80’s today and for the next week or so. On Thursday morning we saw some of that 36* and it was enough for January and February. Talked with a friend in Grand Rapids, Sue, and she was being iced this afternoon after a wee bit of snow.

Worked today. Only did 10 haircuts but made $80 in tips! Got three $10 tips and one $20 tip! My customers like me! Will put that toward spending money in Q.

One of my neighbors wanted to adopt Lily and since Lola is so upset about Lily being here, I thought it would be a good idea. I brought Lily over to her house tonight. She was scared at first but the lady held her and petted her and she finally settled down and seemed pretty content by the time I left. Hopefully, it will work out well. She deserves a good loving home.

I have tomorrow off and lots going on. Picking up my friend Candy, in the morning for the pancake breakfast at the clubhouse. Then I have a haircut scheduled at 11:30 and two more scheduled at 12:30 at the park here. After that (and maybe a nap!), I need to get some cleaning, laundry, etc done around here.

We had a new guy start at work today. He is really cute and nice. We have been trying to figure out if he is gay or not, but he later mentioned he has a girlfriend. We already have one guy who is gay, one who is straight, one gal who is a lesbian and one who is straight, and one who is bi and pregnant. And me, who is no longer in the game! So a real mix. Makes things interesting!

Lola is still hissing at the porch door! She thinks Lily is still out there! She has been having diarrhea again the past week or so and I think it is the stress from having Lily around. Hope that clears up now.

Vikings lost today so no Superbowl for them this year. There is a big PGA golf tournament out here next week (first one of the year) which should be fun to watch, (too bad not in person). I will miss the final round on TV since I will be heading to Q on Sunday.

Glad everyone here is safe from the storms. Those can get really scary!
