Morning Peggy and all who follow. Tis a cold desert day but the rain hasn't started yet. Tomorrow the sub should be coming back. Ty and I got a long walk in... This weather is conducive to that, until the rain starts. Then we played catch with his ball outside. So far he's being very good staying in our area.

Now I get to go put my furnace fuse in to get the heat back in here. No biggie now, but it's a pain in the early morning hours climbing out of bed and getting on the floor lol I guess I have to get used to it until I take my rig in sometime in February. Thinking I should make that appt soon!

It will be a lazy day.

Was a very strange day out here yesterday weatherwise. Heavy flooding rains in L.A. and areas along the coast, a tornado in Santa Barbara, snowstorms in the mountains, and an earthquake on Catalina Island just off the coast of Long Beach! :o

It started raining here in the middle of the night and rained steady until about an hour ago. More on the way. Local mountains to get 2 to 3 feet of snow so should be pretty to look at from here.

Am at work now but very slow today. Will be off around 2pm. Need to stop at WM to pick up a new alarm clock I ordered. Might be a nap in order when I get home.

I'm only showing our winds currently at 15 mph, but when I tried to take Ty out a bit ago the door was taken out of my hands. :o

Barbie, it's been raining off and on, mainly on, all afternoon here. Sometimes quite hard. We're in a flash flood watch till sometime tomorrow morning.

On another note, an hour ago when I put the furnace fuse in and set the thermostat, it listened and turned off at the set temp. Amazing. Hopefully this lasts for longer than it not working lasted this go around. But I'm still making an appt to take the rig in, where I'm sure it will refuse to act up lol

I now have a lakeshore lot! Time to get my kayak out!

The mountains behind me got snow again, as well as Joshua Tree Nat'l Park. Still snowing in the mountains until tomorrow. The tornado struck Ventura Harbor and took down a few trees. We had a leak in the ceiling at work and when I stopped at WM, there were buckets all over catching water leaking from the roof. Another big storm expected on Monday.

One of my coworkers had a customer who is a minister and was trying to convert my coworker (who is an athiest). When the client was leaving, he gave my coworker a $50 tip because Jesus told him to. :o

Still missing things around here. The golf cart keys, my cord to transfer pics from my camera to my laptop, a fairly new pair of earrings, and a book I bought recently. Never did find the missing library book and had to buy a new one to replace it.

Christmas decorations and tree coming down tomorrow.

Beth, I don't know your furnace system, but could your problems possibly be a thermostat problem instead of a furnace problem??

I actually have a thermostat I have been carrying around for a couple of years. Mine had been acting funny--working sometimes and then hesitating sometimes--but I ended up buying the new one and then not installing it. Then it stopped acting funny, but I have kept the thermostat because I suspect one day it will fail and at least I will have the new one to put in.

Heading up to near Tampa tomorrow for a couple of nights, and then flying out to my younger son's house. Older son was supposed to be in Detroit with his dad, but dad is sick, so older son and kids are being picked up in Detroit by younger son and taken back to his house for a few days. We will all overlap for about 18 hours! Only problem is one California kid is getting over head lice and the whole Ohio clan spent a few hours this morning getting "nit picked." Two girls had bad cases, mother a little, and son and grandson were clear! Hope their house is safe because I am certain I am going to be itching and scratching, just thinking about it.

Barbie, maybe you should get the Tile Key Finder. You pair it with your phone and hook it onto your keychain. Can be used to find your phone, keys or anything else you could attach it to. I got a pack of two, but also comes in a pack of 4. You could use them for house keys, car keys, golf cart keys, etc. I got mine because I was always setting my car or RV keys down somewhere in the garage or at my storage, then would panic when I couldn’t find them. You could check around online for pricing. Amazon has them and lots of other stores. I wouldn’t want to be without mine now.

My first thoughts were thermostat. The first tech said it was definitely not the thermostat after I answered some questions for him. I tend to agree with him. Luckily, it's been turning off and on all night. Fingers crossed it decides it likes working again.

I ordered a tile and found out my phone is too old to use it with my phone. I'm sure most don't have a phone as old as mine. It's a Samsung 4 and they are up to about a 10. I am still losing things too. This morning I can't find my Christmas plate. How the heck do you lose a plate?

Judy, head lice aren't funny but made me laugh. When my older son was in elementary school they has such a bad problem there was a school wide meeting with someone from the health department. I was sitting there and the more they talked about lice the more I wanted to scratch but wouldn't.

There are genuine security issues with all the wireless key finders. Go search "security issues with key finders" .lots of articles and warnings. That's why I didn't get any of them for son who said he wanted them . And when he researched it too, he agreed.

I hate when I find a customer with lice! I can "feel" things crawling on me all the rest of the day!! :o Luckily, I have never gotten lice from a customer.

Judy, get some Tee Tree shampoo and hand/body lotion. Lice hate the smell of it and will stay away from you. Put the lotion on your neck so they don't try to get on you from a chair or couch, etc. Lice are a PITA!! The preventative kit has a scalp lotion that smells just like the Tee Tree but the shampoo and lotion are a lot less expensive.

Sun is out, the lake in my back yard is gone, and I have lots to do today. I want to get out with my camera and take pics of the snow on the mountains again. I picked up a SD card reader yesterday so I can get my camera photos onto my laptop, since I still haven't found the cord yet.

Haven't seen Lily since Christmas Eve but the food is disappearing when I fill the dish. I have see the orange tabby here once or twice so hopefully both of them are getting their fair share.

I called my brother, David, last night and we had a nice conversation. He sounded good but when I asked him how he was doing, he just said "OK" in kind of a sad way. My SIL said she is working on getting him into an adult daycare program, so hopefully that will help him. I had suggested that to her awhile back. I hope she also took my advice on getting into a caregiver support group.

I better get moving here...have a good day!

Sarah I know what you mean about missing Nicky. When my Blossom died and I got the new puppy I still missed my old gal. She is still taking up a big part of my heart. But there was room for another one. The puppy was also a great diversion and she has turned out to be "second best dog ever". She is such a good girl and very good company I would be lost without a pup. She tends to keep me active and busy.

I think have more chance of being hacked with your phone than you do with Tile that does not have GPS and connects to your phone via Bluetooth.
