Florida Monday

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Florida Monday

Postby JudyJB » Mon Dec 09, 2019 6:35 am

Well, it is after 6 am and I have not been to sleep yet. I was fine until about 11 pm, but started to get bladder and then kidney pain so been up all night dozing myself with opioids. Opioids are wonderful when you really need them!! :D Pain is finally lessened so am going to try to sleep. Been a very rough night of pacing and waiting for meds to kick in. Even packed a small bag of essentials in case I had to find an emergency room.

This kidney stone stuff is getting really tiring. Thought I would have a year since my last surgery in August. Darn.

Anyway, hope you all had a better night than me.

I dropped off rental car and found an emergency room. Just got cat scan and they are going to give me something for pain. Never did sleep last night. Really wiped out.

Judy, I am so sorry you are in pain. I hope they find a solution.
It's a bright sunny day in northern California , was foggy overnight.
Today is day 6 post op cataracts. As I woke my clear plastic eye shield flipped off. Thought I'd never find as, well it's clear plastic. My vision is pretty good distance and mid but close still a challenge. Finally found the shield down in a bag that holds chargers and cables which is uprooted to hand with flap under mattress but had fallen to floor as adjustable head of bed raised and lowered.
Off to Curves and phone calls.

Oh, Judy, that's terrible. :( And here I was feeling sorry for myself with an ear ache. Tylenol hasn't helped so far. I have my audiology appt tomorrow and I know they can at least tell me if I have inflammation, etc.

It's still cold and wet in Arizona. Makes it chilly. And I'm dry camping so using the generator "just in case" for a bit. Generator hours are limited here, but work as long as I remember them.

Good news. Stone is almost passed and is small—only 3 mm. Got prescription for pain pills

Healing thoughts for all you guys.

Am currently reviewing modestly priced electronic key boards to purchase for my son's family. Don't want the $150. Casios that really appear to be toys. I have found a couple full sized key boards in the 200-400 range. Do any of you have experience. OK, the light bulb just went off and I will also send the question directly to Irmi.....over on FB.

Good Morning, Judy, sorry to hear of you problems with the kidney stones. They are no fun! Keep using those opioids!
I liked my pulmonologist I saw. He added spiriva to my inhalers. Although I continue with the SOB, I can take a deep breath and feel as tho I am getting O2. He also offered me a class at UCSD called pulmonary rehabilitation, which I will take!
The rain has been wonderful, however, the sun coming out today feels good.
No inquiries on the trailer. Boy, I am going to miss being out at Q this year!!!

So sorry to hear you have another kidney stone!! Has your doctor ever suggested you watch certain foods? I found this at the Harvard Medical site as I remember having to monitor one of my dogs diet for similar issues. https://www.health.harvard.edu/blog/5-s ... 1310046721
Also you could probably get a medical card to purchase CBD that has higher levels of the THC. I use Mary's Medicinal Transdermal Patches and cut them in small pieces. I always start small and work up if needed. It works really well for when I have severe pain. DH uses a CBD oil made by NuLeaf that stops arthritis pain in his leg. It is the kind anyone can order by mail as it has only a trace of THC.

BJ, not all states is THC legal, patch or otherwise. It's great stuff, but one could get in trouble in the wrong state.
I agree on the nutrition/kidney stone angle. But one has to know the specific composition of the stones ones body produces to know what to change. Not sure but Jason Fung, a Canadian nephrologist who is having success with low carb bringing people back from severe kidney disease, might have something online about stones.
Beth, hope you get ear relief. Lyn, hope the Spiriva helps as well as the class.
I'm back from Curves and headed to shower.

Just got three hours of sleep. Feel much better. This was a relatively small, easy stone but I am really tired of getting these. Will check on nutrition and other things.

Work was fairly busy but not like yesterday. Had some down time and got lunch so my feet are happier today.

I got an appointment for a week from Thursday to get my Andersen WD hitch installed finally. Still need to get tires, propane tank and new battery. The cover for the connection for my water tank was rotted and falling off so I bought a new one of those. Will have to have this place also put a new lock on my pass-thru storage door since I broke the key in the lock. I ordered a few other essentials that I know I need, from Amazon. Anything else I can get as needed later.

I finished decorating my Christmas tree on my deck tonight. Looks really pretty!
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

Beth sorry your ears are hurting and Judy I feel for you having to deal with kidney stones.. not a fun trip.. been on the go today went to Ehrenburg to get my post box have the same as last year.... then to Smart and Final in Blythe for a few things... came home and put together my salad was glad it was mostly consumed as it is one that doesn't stay over at all.. there is a few bits of fruit in it that I will enjoy but the spinach is mostly wilted now...
had a nice activity and then on to another meeting usually come home between but with only a half hour wasn't worth it..
I wish that I had filled a gas can with higher octane gas today as the tank was empty had to add some in order for it to start... but didn't put a lot in think it will tell me when I do if the problem is indeed with the gas..
tomorrow have choir practice then home to see if I can get things in order and put up something to look like Christmas is indeed only a couple of weeks away
