Happy Saturday

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Happy Saturday

Ty and I are in Casa Grande now. We're at the first Escapees Co-op park. Sites are smaller. But the people here are the friendliest! We walked outside the park today and they have set up desert golf. And a man was out flying a remote control plane. I can watch for hours. He had the plane doing flips and rolls and landed and took off a few times. He was finishing up as Ty and I were walking near and I asked how hard it was to learn those smooth landings. (I would have crashed and damaged the plane, no doubt). It turns out it was his first morning with it and he says I missed several landings. But obviously they weren't terrible because it was still in one piece. So much fun.

I'm arranging to meet up for lunch in Casa Grande tomorrow with Brenda.

Nothing else new here.

Got up this morning and headed to the clubhouse for their craft fair. I was surprised that a lot of it was not handmade stuff. More like flea market stuff and things made in China and fairly expensive. Some tables tho, had handmade things so I looked more at that stuff. Bought some wood coasters with bark on the edges ($5). Got a cute purse/bag that is made with a pretty tropical print material, beaded fringe, and round bamboo handles ($2). Then at noon they started their BBQ lunch so I got a grilled chicken sandwich and then ice cream for desert ($5 for all).

Now I am just relaxing and digesting! Need to do a few things around here before picking up my friend Candiss and heading out for the parade in Palm Springs.

Have a great day! :D

WOW! Not much time today for chit-chatting! I spent the day working in the house and in the yard. I crawled under the trailer to install an extended dryer hose, only to find out that it must be encased because it was not visible under there! What a disappointment. I did get the leaves and pine needles raked up in all of the yard and put in their proper place. Ran Lilah, the robot floor cleanerer upper, in the kitchen and bedroom. Will put her to work tonight on the other rooms. I want to mop tomorrow. Had plans to clean up, that means get the paint off the fronts, the three cabinet boxes I have for the storage room but ran out of time. That moved to first place on the tomorrow schedule right behind the mopping which is in first plus place. Will eat the left overs from going out to dinner with Liz, Bob and Linda, Bob’s daughter, last night. Still looking for my Christmas decorations. I had three boxes stacked on top of each other and now, I can’t find any of them. Don’t you just love moving? I hate not knowing where any thing is. Awaiting getting the cabinets up in the store room. That will give me room to store things and then I can get it together! Well, maybe. We are having the lighting ceremony tomorrow night for the Village! I can hardly wait. It will be gorgeous. Here is hoping everyone has had a safe and fun day.

I have had a minor cough and it was bothering me more today plus it's wet and rainy and cloudy so batteries didn't charge up as well buddy has been on a lot longer than normal and wished I'd turned him on earlier  just didn't feel like doing anything more than the absolute musts took a sorta nap was cold so couldn't get comfy
turned the generator on earlier than usual as well during a break in the rain... there was suppose to be a light parade don't know if it happened or not... if you are flirting with a cold have no business encouraging it.. so didn't even try besides it was raining... did call the rv mobile guy he is still in Denver pretty bad when he knows my voice... :o hopefully soon trying to rethink my Christmas decorations so the table and by the fridge are free not sure what to do although the stand that I put by the fridge wouldn't have that much on it that I couldn't move it fairly easily... the Christmas village hmmm perhaps on the dresser this year but then I have all the stuff on the dresser that would have to have a new place for the season but is a thought thank you
I did crochet while at the laundromat had to laugh this one lady was sitting on a bench waiting for her clothes to finish washing she told me that lady has 7 dyers!!!! then when one of them stopped she pointed it out to the lady really quick but it wasn't dry... then she had to go get more quarters and the lady asked where did she go I said to get some money ump like she should have realized that she would need more money and already had it... I was waiting for the cat fight to start.... it didn't but boy some people just get all stressed out... had to laugh the audacity of having 7 dryers!!!
screen went black the computer turned off and wouldn't go back on yikes then realized I'd not plugged it in... ugh hate that so the battery is really low...

Birdie, I know what you mean about moving and then not being able to find stuff! I am still looking for things!

My friend bailed out on me (again!) because she said it was supposed to rain and be cold for the parade. So I went by myself. It was just drizzling when I got there. I found a place to park in town and walked around town into all the fun shops since I had a few hours to kill. Went looking for a good place to sit and watch the parade. The drizzle had quit by then and it was still in the mid 60's so I just carried my jacket.

The parade was fun, altho each entry (float, band, etc) was spaced a block apart so there was a lot of down time between each one. Not sure why they did that. The parade lasted 2 hours. There were several inflated balloon figures and the handlers had to lay them down to get them under the stop lights at each intersection. However, the last one was a ginormous Rudolph balloon about 3 stories high. Everyone watched to see how they would get him under the lights but they were able to squeeze him around the lights instead. Everyone cheered! Probably the most excitement thru the whole parade! It was pretty watching all the lights and decorations. Most of the marching band members and their instruments were covered in lights.

I left just before the end of the parade so I wouldn't get stuck in a traffic jam getting out. I was home in less than an hour so I made good time going from the far northwest corner of the valley to the far southeast corner.

So was a busy day but fun! Back to work tomorrow.

Saturday was day 4 post op cataract. Learning about neural adaptation, which basically means your brain has to learn to process this new type images coming in with a multifocal IOL . Takes 7-10 days for initial adaptation, so I'm learning patience. What it means is, if I'm focused for a time on one distance, such as tv, I can see it quite clearly but if I move focus to say a book, it takes a few min for my brain to recognize the new focal length. It's all good and amazing what I can see already. I can drive but trying not too for another few days, though we went to a viewing Friday and funeral Saturday morning. Eyes were real tired on way home after shifting focus in church. Otherwise I'm very happy with my choice. 2 more days and I drop one of 3 sets of drops per day. Of course a week after that I start over on the other eye, but by early in new year I'll be off all drops hopefully.
